My grandpa was bitten by a fer de lance while tending to his crops in Honduras. He instantly put his finger on a stump and chopped it off with a machete then proceeded to burn the tip with a cigar. He is now 67 and total badass.
Wow what a cool guy! Bless him.
That's Rambo
Hes him
Just like the youth today..😉
That wasn't a Fer-de-Lance then, but a Terciopelo (bothrops asper). Different species of the bothrops genus. The Fer-de-Lance (bothrops lanceolatus) isn't native in Honduras.
A BIG SHOUT OUT TO THE HOSPITAL STAFF!! They saved your life, Chandler!
Seriously! He was very lucky to have such qualified people around him.
I wonder what that hospital bill is going to be
@@tehfuqizg0inon588 Considering it's in India? Probably not as much in the US
Unlike the US healthcare system. Cobra anti-venom is extremely cheap in India, including the hospital charges as well.

@@zsebacsi2he meant for other people. He’s been doing this so long he’ll probably never change until a bite turns out to be fatal.
That doctor patting you on the back, laughing, and then caressing your arm is so kind! Those are the kinds of things that make the difference when you’re freaking the fuck out at a hospital
Wish the other nurse would have gave him a hug, she was like not uh 😂
Thats very common in India- these days such gestures are being misread due to the high prevalence of abuse. It is situational but I am glad you noticed!
Ending had me in tears man … I’m so happy everything worked out🔥 we need more people like you in the world ❤
🙏🏼
I was thinking about you during the video & im grateful you and chandler were so strong and were able to overcome such obstacles🖤 I’m no snake handler but you guys made me love snakes
So is he in the nub gang now?
I agree u the person who would know his pain best u almost lost ur like to snake bite it never the animal fault they know they can kill you but u need to respect then in every aspect
Lmao this was a long time coming.
The fact that chandler is taking the time to educate us as he prevents necrosis and toxins from traveling throughout his body. Wow. He even went straight back to the snake directly after leaving the hospital
When Chandler flys, he has to buy a second seat for his big brass ones
I’m honestly impressed he seemed to find the exact same snake like that
@@jonhakim5698I see it differently 😂
I believe he was preventing neurotoxins (not necrosis), that's why he is holding it tight, and there's a tourniquette.
For vipers, causes necrosis, you never tourniquette.
That's what I understood about what he said while he was in the hospital.
Shows how stupid he really is. You dont mess with mother nature and he got a warning. Next time will he be as lucky?
I don't think I needed Chandler to get bit in order to "teach" me not to pick up wild cobras with my bare hands.
But thanks for your sacrifice.
Ah you must be one of us with common sense 😂
“They want to be left alone they want nothing to do with us”
Gets bit.
Well to be fair he did say that while not leaving snakes alone
The snake tried to move away dozens of times while he was handling it.
Not only was the snake trying to move away, but he also mishandled the snake by holding it close to the head.
Best example what happens if you DON'T leave it alone. The snake tried so many times to get away without violence till it finally had enough. And after he did it let go, the snake just left him alone.
He isn't that good to be handling snakes that fast and he's basically naked while handling
He'd be in real trouble if it was a mamba it would've went for his ankle next
Chandler, you're one of my favorite people. I'm so thankful you survived. Lesson learned. I'll take that hug you were offering.
❤❤❤

@@jasonwickens0813 discovery 😂.
I am from India, Chandler has made it to the nearest District hospital, the healthcare is not upto the mark there, but that's the fastest to reach since he was close to village area, he would have received better healthcare if it was in a city. But the good part is they got enough doses of anti-venom which is the most important treatment for snake bite, rest was upto how healthy he was to recover with the anti venom and he seems to be a tough guy. I follow your channel from 2 years Chandler, please take care and may you live long. I love snakes and your education is very important.
THEY DONT WANNA BITE YOU
snake: HOLD MY VENOM
The man that saved his life, humbly bowing his head and rubbing his leg, shows a man full of humility and compassion. The fact that Chandler was laying there, able to speak those words, means more to him then the words themselves or even the actions he took. He was just glad that Chandler was there able to thank him.

Now, if the man who so humbly saved Chandler's life, supported him emotionally, and was so excited to see him pull through, wasn't sent here by God, then who is? Have to give a shout out to the hospital and that dr. I live in Canada, born in Israel, but lived for a few years in India. I've been to a hospital much like you were in. Right, it ISN'T the snakes fault, it's his own fault. As every snake expert says they just want to be left alone. So.... Leave them alone and let them be!
chandler handled the bite extremely well. which is what saved his life. hes used to handling his own collection where he knows his snakes. messing with a wild one in india is totally different
I thought that in the moments before he was bitten and I didn’t know it was coming yet. He let the snake think it was being let free, but reset his grip to pull it back. So glad you are ok - when you do what you do, it’s not a matter of if. It’s a matter of when.
You are amazing, I am so glad you pulled through. There is a reason you did. You were put on Earth to educate people about these beautiful animals. You are incredibly talented and I respect your work so much!
These doctors are more professional than americas doctors fs
Indian folks are the best! ❤
US doctors are barely trained how to treat venomous snakes bites if they even have anty venom for non native snakes.
Idk how permits work in Florida but in Europe to get permit you need to have local hospital supplied with anty venom for each of your snakes and staff has to be trained. Off course it's voluntary from hospital so getting permit is impossible for a private person.
Not sure what kind of Dr's you've seen but all of my doctors, surgeons, nurses & oncologists have been very kind & professional.
As a patreon subscriber, I watched the uncensored version and I must say that even though you got bit by a deadly snake, you remained calm and explained how to deal with snake bites. Prayers for a quick recovery and hopefully you can still have full use of your finger after this incident.
This was bound to happen at some point and I'm not even suprised it came from a wild snake. You can't handle snakes you semi trust in captivity and expect to handle them the same in the wild. Nevertheless, I am glad you made it out safely.
You are 100 percent correct. I have always felt it was just a matter of time before Chandler got bite.
Yes! I adore Chandler but he takes bigtime risks.
I thought i am the only one thinking like that. I am mad at Chandler because of his very stupid desicions, just like GETTING IN A MURCY POND WITH A GROWN CUBAN CROCODILE.
Stop doing stupid shit chandler bevore it is to late.
However i am very glad to se you doing semi well and making jokes again.
Love you and your channel. Get well soon, Shoutout from 🇩🇪
I would hope that he knew something like this could happen in this line of work. To think just because you have years of experience makes you untouchable is foolish.
If you ask any snake handler they always say it’s not if you get bit it’s when you get bite. Captive or wild, hooked or free handling, venomous or non venomous
Watching this back I think Afsar Hussain is the the biggest hero in this story. He never left his side to support him and be like his "Indian father" for him at the right moment.
Been watching you for a while and man im so glad you survived! i love your channel and your beautiful snakes!
Chandler, I’ve been watching your channel for years. Seeing you handling that snake again 2 days later just shows your immense passion for these animals. Your audience loves you, brother. So glad your experience kept you safe👊🏻
He's an idiot who will eventually be killed. When a guy drives a car amd let's his confidence outweigh his experience and crashes, he is reckless. But when they free handle a stressed out wild cobra and hold it improperly and get bit, they are some kind of hero? This is proof he has no clue what he is actually doing and thinks keeping snakes in boxes makes him a professional just like the other one who nearly died from a Cobra bite. Where were his skills and expertise when he held it too far down so it could turn on him? There is a reason the real pros use one hand and a snake hook it's so they are never in the animals bite range. You sound as stupid as he does. Had this happened in florida, he would have lost his licence and his snakes. The fact that this guy is in charge of other people safety when they visit is alarming. I knew the moment he was holding it too far down, it was going to bite him in that position its going to bite you literally every time!
Even after being bitten and going through what you did you still went back out there without batting an eye. Mad respect. I'm glad you made it out mostly unscathed, here's to a speedy recovery.
Chandler, im very glad you are ok. Im watching all this late, but im glad im watching so that I can educate myself on what to do. I live in Colorado, VERY cold out currently, so pretty much 0% chance of encountering a rattle snake out here this time of year. But all i can think about is what if this happens to my sons out here on the farm or up in the Rocky Mountains. Thank you for all that you go through so that we are more educated in what to do in these types of situations. If i had the excess finances, i would be donating to your cause.
Hey Chandler, I just found out about this after months but I hope you are doing well. If anyone tries to go catch a venomous snake after watching one of his videos, that’s on them. I sure as hell am not attempting anything he does. This is his life and he realizes the risk he takes every time he handles a venomous snake.
Thank you so much chandler for sharing your experience and your education
Respect. Thank you for educating the public.
Aww, the staff there at the hospital are lovely. I'm so glad you pulled through! Speedy recovery, bud!
Doctors trained in India are the best! They have treated me from an young child to my senior years. I am alive because of there outstanding skills!
I love and respect snakes now because of you
I have followed you for many years and have had the pleasure of meeting you
You take care of yourself nubby wildlife
Thanks! I've enjoyed many of your video's. Thanks for extending this one, even after being bit. It certainly can be a lesson for all of us!
w person Why haven't he seen this ??!?!
I unfortunately had a feeling something like this would happen glad you are okay 👍🏾
Yea - he is very professional but had a few close calls. Was just a matter of time.
It’s never if but when. Simple as driving nails you do it long enough your gonna mash your finger.
CHANDLER!!! I've had this feeling that something was about to happen 😮 kept hoping I was wrong! Glad you're ok! You are amazing!!
Hey brotha. I’m an Indian American born in NY..and I’m sooo grateful you got the help you needed. Honestly don’t think getting bit was all that bad for your growth..I’m just glad you survived. Honored you were able to share that experience with my fellow ppl! God bless you chandler! ❤️💙🫡
Shifting the hospital bed the only reason it’s funny is you are ok but it made me die laughing
I hope the bite has no long term repercussions, great you could get help and knew how to stay cool and not panic. Well done. I was worried after you said twice "this snake just wants to be left alone and kept playing with it". Stay safe and well.
Definitely a learning moment, when the venomous snake wants to leave you let it go lol. Glad you're ok Chandler, the world would be a lot worse without you in it.
So glad you’re still with us Chandler, hopefully you never have this close a call again and that this video helps educate anyone who may run into a similar situation.
Yeah ... don't be an idiot like Chandler and take unnecessary risks. He's giving the reptile community a bad name. I'm glad he's okay.
@@piteusx8440what community I don't see you fools doing any kind of education like Chandler is....don't be a armchair quarterback...
@@piteusx8440 I commented before I saw his run-in with the gator. This dude is being seriously reckless with his life.
I cannot believe the composure you kept! I can guarantee 99.9% of people would have been freaking the hell out. And you kept it all smiles and laughs despite the fact that you were potentially on your death bed. Gotta appreciate the information you're giving regarding getting bitten and how to act if it were to ever happen and this may actually save someone else's life. Massive respect for you Chandler. Glad you pulled through!
Wow. Hope you'll be ok, but it looks like you're gonna be fine cause you handled it like a pro. Nature is crazy, we love it. Get well soon Chandler.
I grew up in South India in a similar neighborhood with lots of snakes around. Now living in USA, sometimes feel lucky to survive those days with constant encounters with them around my home. I know a few friends around my home who succumbed to those snake bites. I am happy to see you alive after going through a cobra bite. You have lot more service left out for the mankind and hope you will be more careful in future.
One of the best and most facilitating things I’ve seen on UA-cam
Awesome video ❤glad you are okay but what amazing hospital staff ❤
Genuinely amazed by how Chandler handled the situation. Glad he is all good and well and not discouraged from this experience.
I just hope he doesn't go out like Steve Irwin
You remind me the crocodile hunter, your personality, almost everything ! When I saw this episode it got scared! It was a Déjà vu. Thanks God you're ok
Jesus I’m so glad you’re alive!! And I’m glad this hasn’t stopped you from continuing to love and educate us on these creatures
@@randellburton3307going out doing what he loves? I’ll take that over getting shot by some thug
I was always taught not to suck the venom from the site
“We have two lives and we don’t start living our second live until we realize we only have one”
I LOVE YOU CHANDLER, glad your okay. ❤❤❤
I was about his age when I realized it myself.
That's something stupid only an American would say. The rest of us understand we only have one life and don't make a habit of picking up a stressed-out wild cobra in a position where it can bite you 😂😂😂😂😂
@@fazercraig9652 Hahahahahaha! Said with love.?
@comedianmattrossey My grandfather is American, so it's said with experience, and I guess, technically love. He hates the world, and if I repeated some of the stuff he says, I'd be banned from UA-cam he's 84 and still talks like it's the 1950s. He thinks everyone younger than him is a pussy lol
@@fazercraig9652 apparently religion is only in America… the more you know
When o heard about this on my feed, its scared me. I’m just happy you made it buddy
learn from my mistake hahahahahahahahaha....we not taking lessons from you bro...we know what to do....we leave them alone hahahahah
Even the most experienced handlers can be bit! Just speaks to the amount of respect you have to show these animals. Glad you're ok 👍
He’s no professional he’s just an attention seeker like everyone else on UA-cam. Sincerely a real snake Professional
That’s completely true
Well, if you hold it the way he did, you're getting bit every time. He should have dropped it when it started to coil and come back at him, not pass it to his other hand. You use snake hooks to keep the snakes head at a distance from you. You use your hands and play pass the parcel when you're sick of life. I bet his king Cobra kills him before he hits 30.
@@fazercraig9652Exactly. The guy completely trusts snakes . A Real handler doesn't give a snake a chance to bite . That guy just delusionally thinks the snake doesn't want to bite him 😅
@@paoloc3318Save your AU Chandler fanfic for Wattpad. It's not appropriate here.
Been following your journey on youtube for years man. Back when you had less than 100k subscribers and were on the rise. Glad to see you're okay after taking that bite and I have massive respect for you getting right back out there educating us on these snakes. Take care of yourself and I hope you never stop doing what you love.
