Still now in my mind, with a lot of sorrow. Life is unfair. I know there are many, many people living a worst life and die with anyone caring of them, but they represented to me the perfection of life, beauty, love, fairness, ... everything. I will never forget them. A big hug to Katia and Daria.

Sergei was a handsome, husband father who showed his true love to his wife , baby daughter and those who meant so much to their lives... It was a shock that this young man died so quickly that those who knew him around the world were absolutely shocked. They were one in life and on the skating rink. I loved watching them every time they skated. 😢❤️🙏‼️

They had a beautiful life. So sad it had to end so soon. They were best friends before being lovers and continued their friendship and bond into their marriage. I cannot imagine the incredible feelings of pure joy when together they won the Olympic gold not once but twice. That bond cannot ever be broken. It is profound and beautiful full of incredible amazing memories of hardships, blood sweat, tears and triumphs that they lived and shared together.

This was so sad. When he died there wasn't the internet like there is today. So I caught up on everything after, and got to really know what he must have been like and how loved he was by his wife and his friends, and how much he loved his little girl. It isn't right what happened to him. They should have been together still. Rest in Peace Sergei.

I saw him the year he died, 2x and one was the last competition he did. I saw them with Stars on Ice in 1995 (February he died in November. I believe the competition was in October.) I was 14 when it happened and cried like I lost my own family member. I actually did 3 years after he passed, my grandpa died the same date. I was in the audience to see Katia’s first solo skate and it didn’t take but seconds to cry. You knew it was coming, but nothing could’ve prepared you. I’ll never forget seeing their elegance on the ice together. No one has even gotten close to G&G.

They danced and skated, so fluently, that you couldn’t even hear their skates scratching the ice. The way that they looked at each other, even their subtle touches, it was obvious how in love they were. So very tragic and so very sad. As somebody who does nursing work on hospice, I have learned over the years how precious life really is. We never know how long we will have on this earth. Suspend each day cherishing the ones you love. Don’t waste time holding grudges, being petty, or angry. Life is too short.

Has anyone seen...there is a new novel just released called Abigail Phelps which features Sergei Grinkov as Abby's partner...and more!.Abby kind of fills the Katia role. She partners with Sergei AND Christopher Dean! There is a link to the abbyphelps webpage on my UA-cam page, and the book is available on Amazon. Just search Abigail Phelps, or the author Bethany Turner, in Amazon worldwide. Sergei just kind of wins people's hearts in this book. Are you Team Sergei? Check it out!

The Devil hates beauty and happiness. If there was enough jalousy from around them and perhaps some witchcraft done on him...He didn't stand a chance. God didn't take him out but he allowed it as he is a juste God even with Satan and his legal rights. We should thank God every morning for everything he gives us and we should cover ourselfs in Jesus Christ blood against the enemy. A born again christian that is not of the world has enough power to withstand enemy's attacks.

You’re right, Katia didn’t have time to raise her even after Sergei’s death because she was constantly skating. She moved her parents to America to raise her
