I recently came across the New Balance RCP-280 replacement insoles. Replaced my Reimagined BRED 4 insoles with those and now the shoes are extremely comfortable.
I knew once they announced that they’ll have similar makings of the SB 4, little by little it’ll start to feel less comfortable. Thanks for keeping us updated. Good work.
@Bamx3 They should be compared to the SB 4 and we should be demanding that same level of comfort and all Jordans should be rebuilt for better comfort. The bred 4s were just as comfortable. Why can’t they all be?
My bred reimagined are super comfortable. Obviously it’s not going to feel like a yeezy or other premium foam shoes but it’s not supposed to. I guess it comes down to what you prefer on feet
Depends on what you grew up with, foot shape, overall size and shape. I am short, I don't weigh a lot. I have narrow feet and I find the upper of the shoe very important for the comfort. It has to have its own shape, not a glorified sock. And the modern runners do not offer that, at all. While older models, especially basketball models, do. So yes, it happens that a retro basketball shoe is more comfortable for me than a more modern runner with a modern midsole. However, thanks to my narrow feet I don't have pinky toe issues. A Jordan 4 fits me like a glove. Like its designed for feet like mine.
can never go wrong with the metallics. I have the purple version of it and got a ton of compliments on it too. if you're planning to cop one. i'd say the red and purple are the most liked
I have the red cements and they are mad comfortable. I have Jordan 1s OGs Jordan 1 Mids, Jordan 1 Retro, I have the Jordan 6 Georgetown, Jordan 8 Playoffs, Jordan 11 lows, Jordan 12 Lakers GP, and the Jordan 13 Flint Grey and I have two pairs of the the Jordan Legacy 314. The most comfortable Jordan I have is the 13 next in line is the Jordan 4 for me.
@@mateoperez7 yeah. Ive got about 15 pairs of Jordans and personally I’d rank them for comfort. Jordan 3s then 1s and then 5s and 4s last. Have 3 pairs of 4s including the new military blue and none of them are comfortable

I got mine yesterday thru online size 10us local release vnds w/ receipt. I already loose the lace but the right shoe has uncomfortable feeling. The mesh netting is pressing my feet so tight and cant even move a room. The unbalance feeling when walking is so unsettling. I dont know why it comes like that. Great vid I doubled up on the military blues. You should have put a poly insole from the other pair of 4s in the military blues just to see where you’d rate them if Nike had gone that route instead of dreamcell
Fire Red 4’s are uncomfortable. Everytime I want to wear them I get flashbacks of how uncomfortable they are. I might only wear them to grab something quick from the store and back home.
Thankfully I don’t have this problem so much at 35 I’m decent with em. Some are on the more uncomfortable side depending on the era they were made and leather texture as you stated but for the masses I hope they do the ones going forward with justice I know we say we want true to OG but they can do better at least on the comfort with these shoes
Why do sneaker heads act like you can’t swap out the insole and increase a shoe’s comfort tenfold? Also yall say yall want OG specs then when you get OG specs you complain it’s not like a previous retro that was inaccurate.
Couple things. We know you can swap the insole, but the shoe is $215. You shouldn’t have to do that. For the price it should be the least of your worries. Also, the specs. They did an excellent job recreating the shape. It looks amazing. No complaints there
The 2016 cement 4s I think still the best 4. They’re hard after broken in but they don’t really crease and they still look great with some wear to them. Go with any fit too.
Great video! I think I may be the only guy in America that doesn’t have any issues with Jordan comfort. I’ve never had to change an insole. Dress shoes can cause hit spots, combat boots def have there moments 😂, but probably any shoe may have us barking after 8+ hrs on your feet 🫡✌🏽
You got everything. I wore a pair of Jordan 3 black/cements to Manhattan to do senior pictures, more walk than I have done in years. The sole came of my 3’s. Now I won’t even wear Jordans if I have lots of walking to do. Nike sizing is everywhere. I’m a true 12, but in Nike I wear 12.5 in anything cool 12.5 is impossible to cop which makes me a 13. At work I’m on my feet all day and I am outside a lot easily the most comfortable shoes I wear are Merrells and Salomons. While Salomon definitely needs a visit from Tinker, Nike could learn a few things about sizing and comfort.
Hey if you have the vivid sulfur 4. Put them in your comfort test. I got these and man I don't wanna take them off. I like your comparison videos. Thank you.
fancied grabbing a birth year shoe. this is probably it. im torn between these and a non birth year shoe the powder blue 9s which i remember as a lil kid.
This is a pretty fair score for comfort. Right out of the box, I had some pinky toe pressure but I stretched them out and now they're around what you said 7.4, maybe 7.6. Leather is thin but flexible, decent padding in the upper as you'd expect. But lackluster underfoot due to the average at best midsole and insole. Overall it's really not uncomfortable at all but its far from the best as well.
Nice explanation of what affects the comfort. I've never worn any 4s because of their reputation. But I have the Breds and Military and plan on trying both. 3s are my favorite esthetically, but 7s and 13s are the most comfortable, in my opinion. And you're right...seeing Dr Scholl's when you look in the shoe is just wrong 😅.
Great video. I have never wore a pair of 4s, but I wear a 9.5 in Jordan 1s (sometimes my pinky toe hurts) would you recommend I go 10 for the Military Blues?
I prefer the darker one, so the newer one. Comfort is also perspective. I find this sort of shoes quite comfortable. But I have narrow feet. So I don't really get issues with width in Jordans like most people. I don't have that the toebox is too tight because of my narrow feet. This sort of shoes fit me extremely well. And a shoe that fits extremely well, in width and length, gets comfortable fast. But I also prefer the bit more firm ride. Comfort wise I do prefer the Air Flight 89 over the Jordan 4. The more padded sockliner makes them just perfect for my feet. Modern running shoes are not so comfortable for me. They are often wider, less stable and less padding in the upper. Retro running shoes are nice as well, like the 990v3, 2002r etc.
@@Eddiewinkicks yea many shoes people find uncomfortable for the narrow toebox, like J4's.. no issues at all for me Only shoe I cannot get right is the Adidas Forum.
