Spitzies is a good place. They once sold me a bike with a cut and welded frame. When it was found, they bought it back off me immediately with no questions asked. Good ppl down there
Your are definitely a biker by far, you can tell from the look on your face at the motel when talking about the bike that there’s emotion/feelings when it comes to our bikes. True bikers know what that is. I’m glad you got it back & your filled with joy. By the way I rode to Bikefest Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri last week & there were two female bikers washing there bikes at the car wash next to me & they had rode all the way down from the Catskills

Nothing more beautiful than the Adirondack Mountains. Smells amazing up there. My folks are from there and growing up, I spent a ton of time there. Glad you got your bike back. Been waiting for this video to come out. Wish we knew definitively what caused the engine problem. I’d definitely like to know cause I’m scheduled to take delivery of a 2022 Heritage this Saturday. First time owning a Harley. My 2 other current rides are both Asian.

It's a bunch of BS that you have to buy an extended warranty to cover an engine failure on a fairly new motorcycle.

There is a Reason why Harleys are not Reliable but my Buell is. My 2008 Buell Ulysess has the 1203 cc Thunderstorm engine based on the Sporters engine. I guess that is the Evolution engine.
Buell added Piston Oilers.. an oil cooler with an air scoop .. Air Scoops to cool the rear cylinder. and an eclectic fan to cool the heads that comes on at 400-F ..
My Buell has 10.5 to 1 Compression ration .. a Redline of 7,000 RPM's though it does not good to rev it past 6,000 RPMs. It puts out 103 HP compared to the 1203 Sportster engine that makes 74 HP
I would use a high quality synthetic 20w-50 Motor oil like Motul or Mobil-1 ..

Every once in a while add a little fuel system cleaner to the gas it will help clean up the valves and combustion chamber also the rings in the engine.
Just a suggestion, you need to route the breathers from the heads out of the air cleaner and to the ground/atmosphere. Harley has the breathers aimed at the intake trac allowing the oil mist to be sucked into the trac and burned off. This is due to EPA. It's ridiculous (cars are the same). Vacuum helps pull the mist. It causes a great deal of carbon build up on the piston tops and valves. It's an easy mod. I have a Trask vent for the lower end and routed my head breathers to the ground on my 21 RGS. Intake is clean and bike uses no oil. Over filling oil tank is also an issue. I run 4 qt's 10oz in mine after oil change. Put oil level at 5 dots up from add qt line HOT on jiffy stand and 4 dots up COLD on jiffy stand. Most dealers just add the 5qts the manual states and it is way to much. Food for thought for you. Glad you have it back. Ride safe.

been really good to you...she broke down 2 hours from home lol. carbon build up...weird considering how it sounded. im no harley tech so that is just me. do you have a catch can on your bike? that may help prevent that from happening again. glad it was covered and fixed . surprised you didnt have them drop a 117 while they was there lol. good vid
Shit they should have offered her a 122 kit for a few hundred extra. Read some dude had same issue and he got one for $600 installed
I will just say Spitzies only give great service when you are buying a new bike or going through H-D to finance one. I financed one through them in 2020 and I felt like they were the best dealer in the world. Then I went back two years later and they told me my two bike's trade in values were $15k total unless I wanted to finance a new bike, then they would give me the book value of $21k. It's a business I get it, Dave even told me that is how they get so much inventory from H-D, pushing the financing.

Lately I’ve been contemplating to purchase and install more performance parts and cancel my 5 year extended warranty before it begins now seeing this has me reconsidering my feelings to do so.

What was the root cause for your Lowrider S failure? You never did say. I am guessing the motor sumped and took out the rear cylinder. This is a rare for a 2020 because the oil pump of this year and newer has largely prevented sumping which did occur in previous M8 engines.
I thought blowing oil is a feature on a harley, not an issue

Sounds like you need to invest in a catch can . That will stop the excess oil from straying onto the top of your pistons
somebody else asked, what is the cause of the carbon build up? and what will prevent it from happening again on this new top end build?
