The funny thing is that that particular level actually didn't seem too bad, at least compared to some of the real hot garbage out there. I generally agree with you though, for sure.

My assumption here is that it despawns before it hits the 'end of the pit' which would generally trigger a death. Someone with more knowledge could correct me though.

But, regardless, it would seem that even without it being on a track, it wouldn't be possible for the mushroom to entirely despawn before in the alotted time and distance.

The small jump to gain a frame at the beginning of a level is a spin jump in SMW. Not sure if that also works in NSMBU or not.

That mushroom 🍄 last level is why Nintendo stopped updating Super Mario Maker 2.
To my knowledge, the jump at the first frame of the level does work, but only in SMW, so it shouldn't work in that SMB stage.

Nah thats a quirk of the original SMB, maybe remakes of SMB, but I'm fairly certain its not in Mario Maker. Mario Maker's SMB1 plays quite differently
