3 Topaz within 70 pulls. 0 Guinaifen, 1 Sushang, 5 Luka. This was so crazy for me. Out of the 11 5-Star items I have, I got the earliest at 67 pity. The others at 90.
I'm sure plenty of others have said this, but I wanted to show some appreciation for you adding the stat goals to your guides - for me, having these in mind as guidelines really boosts my confidence in choosing pieces (and by extension knowing at what point it's a smart idea to quit farming and make better use of the tb power elsewhere). man idk why but I LOVE nihility units, they introduce a different kind of playstyle in the game. I can't wait for my kafka to have a new team member hehe
Same. Destruction meta has been really boring, I've been ignoring it since everyone seems to do some flavor of "hit really hard", but Nihility always comes out with the wacky team comps and multiple roles for each unit.

Very thankful to Hoyo for making the Nihility calyx one of the easiest in the game to farm. Between Kafka, Sampo, Guinaifen, and the Welt I pulled recently, I'm gonna need to be coming back to it a lot for traces and light cones. I don't even have that many good Nihility light cones yet.

you know it never ceases to amaze me how strong some of the 4★ LC are sometimes. my Eyes of the Prey isn't S5 yet, but seeing how Solitary Healing isn't even her best LC as a Battle Pass dolphin i'm actually quite surprised. was getting ready to buy that off the Herta store as a just in case. no 「Good Night, Sleep Well」, though. no Kafka here but i think i can use her just fine as fire breaker.

It's never too early for a HAPPY NEW YEAR! Got Guinaifen in one 10-pull, tried a bit more wtih 20 more pulls but only e0 Guinaifen. Given I am at 60 pity and don't really want Topaz, I decided to stop myself there and maybe pull for HuoHuo instead.
Been waiting for this, Loved it. Also yes, she's straight up Tingyun level of Squishy. I have like 1200 Def and she's still getting one-shotted. Also unrelated, Since Huohuo is coming, I'll be waiting for that DPS Huohuo Guide >:D
I am on the path of collecting and raising all Nihility characters just because I really like the path and most of the characters from these parts I do like. I got her in E2 now, really pushed for it since I got Topaz relatively early! I again will wait for 1.5 patch before building her tho but will farm for level ascensions and traces for her for now! While i know shes gonna be best with Kafka, im also looking at teaming her up with hook and asta plus sustain. I do really like hook and haveing gwen easily burn to power up hook to her max without needing to put ehr on hook is very nice. We will see how many of her i get while hunting for topaz :)
I've played with her a bit (prefarmed her and got E1) and my first time trying that it was her, Himeko, Herta and Fu Xuan, and I entered battle using Guin's technique. It broke two (2) enemy guards, so Himeko's follow-up triggered and did enough damage to start the Herta loop. So yeah, I'm enjoying her so far uwu
I have been planning to pull for Topaz since she got announced, my main character rn is Kafka, so seeing a character that has synergy with her in the same banner makes me really happy, time to become a fire main lmao

About "if you have Fu Xuan": I, a fully F2P player, got Fu Xuan and her light cone, and now, there is almost no problem clearing any content (yeah, Swarm Disaster requires some luck). For anyone who wants to have an easy life with "defenseless" characters Fu Xuan is a must have.

her kit is fun and the ditings are cute. im gonna try her as a nihility support but i guess its clear shes specialized for dot teams. i do like her more than luka already, luka is fun in his ideal conditions but not so much in aoe
How dare you forget Pitch Dark Hook the Great?! Anyways, nice guide. Will definitely try and save up some Stellar Jades to try and get Guinaifen just so I can have a reason to use my E4 Hook, who is just sleeping in the corner.
None of the new guides mention a nice perk for Gwen, she makes Woof viable with a Destruction main dps. I have E1 Clara so Guinaifen might become my, "We have Topaz at home" character.
Spent 10 pulls on banner because of her and it did work. It would take a lot of time to full build her because I spent a lot of resources on Jingliu, got her with S1 Eyes of the Prey (have S5 on Sampo) but still didn't put on test because I only have +0 relics (4xMusketeer and Space Station) and lack of credits to level her and LC up to 80...
Good video. I always like to watch your tutorial because it is different than any Indonesian UA-camrs who make tutorials that just straight copy-paste. I remembered when you said Silver Wolf does not need the pan-galactic relic set and err link rope. I trust your words. I will follow your insight for guinaifen.
Guinaifen might be worse than other damage amp, but currently I only have Asta and Tingyun (and I won't build Pela). Asta and Tingyun are amazing, but they're both ATK buffers, which aren't very effective for Blade and Jingliu. Conclusion: I'll definitely be throwing Guinaifen into non-DoT teams just because I don't have anyone better. I love that Vulnerability is such a rare form of damage amp that a 21% Vulnerability debuff is almost always a direct 21% damage increase.
I ended up with her e6 while pulling for Topaz, and now I’m tempted to pass on pulling for Silver Wolf like I originally planned and build her as a budget Pela for my second team. She’d go well on my Blade team since they can spare the SP and then I can put Pela with my more SP heavy units like Qingque.
I went 60 pulls for her, bringing my pity up to 70 and getting just one copy of her. Meanwhile, I got sushang up from e0 to e2 (I did want at least one copy of her for better SP management) and Luka went from e0 to e4. I'll wait to see what the upcoming banners will be before I risk pulling any further, since I want Silverwolf. Too bad, I was hoping to get her to e2 or at least E1.
Got E1 from pulling for Numby. Most likely won't build her any time soon. I am more than happy with my roster and I think I will be mostly focusing on finishing or upgrading characters I have already built
She is this games Yoim and she's great. Just like Yoim i love her design & fire/pyro is a great element. I do wish there was an overhaul/rework/actual change to how DoTs appear though..i wish they were more prominent/flashy and stood out but for Guinaifen in general she is solid. Simple kit, effective in multiple teams especially Kafka teams ofc & she's 4 star so win win. Got 2 of her on my main acc and 1 of her on my alt. Now we wait for the new sets to come out then 1.5 :)
I like her design and I got her but I haven't really been convinced to build her up. Most stuff I see is about Kafka who I don't have nor have any desire to go for so I don't know if she would do much for me. So she'll probably just sit there. But I got topaz and numby and that's what matters
Got her painlessly in 20 which also let me snatch Seele's light cone ^^ A little disappointed, though not surprised, that she's not as helpful in non-DoT teams. But I don't really care I love her. And maybe she can finally solve my lack of fire dps/break for certain relic caverns...
Only got her E0, (I would have loved her E1 but got Shafted going for Topaz (Won the 50/50 on Topaz) and Building Pity some Afterwards (Gonna aim for Huohuo for Supportive reasons) and when Kafka comes back around Imma aim for her as I see myself wanting the Amplifier of the DOT Playstyle more.
I love my Nihility teams so I got her at E6. Picked up an E1 Topaz and a Yangqing along the way which I guess isn't awful lol. Debating whether Topaz Lightcone is actually good or not, seems like it suits team wide damage and not just her... decisions decisions 🤔
Kafka and E6 Sampo really do a lot of damage, good thing is that it might take some time for Kafka's rerun and you can farm a lot for her (which is worth). Even after Jingliu, Kafka is still my main with E6 Sampo + E6 Luka + Fu Xuan. Sadly I won't be able to get more E for Guinaifen, thinking about keeping my jades for Silver Wolf's rerun.
Heyy, guoba, thank you for the thorough guide, as always much dedication can be seen for it, great work! Now, I reallly like this character, mostly for aesthetic reasons, and I intended to make her a subdps the best I can. But looks like the odds are against it as I barely managed to get her e0. In fact I got her 11 pulls later after already obtaining Topaz 💀 (goal was to get her as high eidolons as I can before reaching Topaz). Seeing this video, it seems like she wouldn't do too much, or if she does, she'd either need a teammate, like Kafka, who I don't have, or more eidolons, although, that's my dilemma now. Would it be worth going for more eidolons for her and try to make her a subdps? Or is she bound to be more of a support afterall. I'm taking into consideration the risks there are as a subdps since she is so squishy. Sometimes a dps being too squishy is a bit of a problem, like with Topaz and Seele, but at least you're guaranteed that they'll do a terrific job while alive so they are worth the risk. But with Guinaifen it seems like she'd get deleted easily and even while she's up she wouldn't do too much... It's unfortunate also that she's Nihility and the DoT type rather than supportive like Pela/Silver Wolf. For Harmony characters I found an easy way to keep them alive and strong with just simply going hp/def primary stats haha. Anyway, I'm wondering if pushing now for more eidolons will be worth it as a subdps, considering also the fact that we'll soon receive new DoT focused gear.
I think you can stick with E0, but yeah she needs a bit of defensive stats with her offensive stats, still does decent dmg IMO ^^ ty for the nice comment

Yikes, I was hoping the other way around for myself, but I got her in the first ten pull but no early Topaz -.- Still I only did one ten pull on the weapon banner and got 2x Resolution which I didn't have since before so it's a W for my Pela.
If running Solitary healing, does that incentivize running an ERR% rope to maintain the damage bonus and accelerate talent stacks? Sadly my pulls have dodged even single copies for GNSW and EoP so I really only have Fermata/SH as light cone options (I use event LC on SW and resolution on Pela)
Maybe? I dont like solitary, and if no meaningful energy then the stats on it succ, so i havent calc'd solitary + err rope since its too chaotic and unreliable

quick questions for my usual comps welt with his sig and serval rocking passkey? i don't think guinaifen would do that much with welt but... 3stack firekiss vul with welt's ult 12% vul might be bonkers. serval might also be strong if serval has a break crit hybrid or full break build since firekiss vul also ramps dots

I got E2 Guin while (failing at) pulling Topaz and I'm pretty unsure about building her. I don't have Kafka and I don't see much point to a DoT build without her (unless DoT is on buff in MoC). Not sure I'd ever use her over Pela either.
So she can apply 3 different debuffs per skill and even has her 1st action advanced forward? i wonder what 4 star LC would greatly benefit from that hmmm

e9 guina in 250~ pulls, sadly i have literally 0 mats for anything other than ascensions, will build her during the rest of topaz's banner tho, and a new kafka teammate is huge for e2s dot increase.
Mihoyo made me dirty with the pulls 😭, E6 Sushang, E6 Luka, E1 Welt and only a *E2* Guinaifen. Now idk if i should pair Kafka with Luka or Guin after this tragedy
Won my 50/50 for Topaz so I kept pulling until pity again and got Guinaifen E2... Then I gambled I would LOOSE my 50/50 to keep on pulling for more of her and I got Clara E1 out of that lol. Currently got E4 Guinaifen from my pulls but i plan on going until pity again and if I get an early 5* it's whatever. I switched on Seele's and i don't have her so worst case I unlock Seele and best case I "built pity" for Silver Wolf 😏. Also unlocked Luka and got him to E5 so if I dont get more of him I'll use my event invitation for his E6 (already have Pela and Serval E6 and dont care about Hook's E2). Sushang completely dodged me though I got 3 of her 😅

I still have not gotten a single copy of the luka ce and I've been playing since launch... and despite not owning kafka, I have s5 good night sleep well, so I guess I'm using that on her until the game decides not to suck. And... yes, I run fermata on pela for the break effect... edit: because I have sw and run tutorial on her

Sampos Pearls hits can miss, and at S5 youre building enough EHR to guarantee it anyway Sampo has 1.6% more vuln but its tied to his ult, isnt infinite, and is only for DoTs, not the whole kit So i think shes great :D
What do you think about running 2 piece musketeer and 2 dot set that gives atk on her and and what planar set would you recommend if i want to run her as a support for dr ratio along with topaz and fu xuan I'm torn between using broken keel and fleet of the ageless on her, and between atk percent and fire dmg which stat would be beneficial on her sphere
So, are you saying that you think Guin is generally the better choice in Kafka teams over Luka and Sampo provided enemies are not weak to physical or wind? And can she be better than Sampo and Luka even in wind/physical weak if the enemy is also weak to fire? I'm still trying to decide if she is worth building to round out my Kafka teams.
For her pure supportive power i think so yea. If they’re wind/phys and fire weak then it’s a matter of aoe vs ST for Luka, and I guess I’d still prefer her over sampo

her kit is fun and the ditings are cute. im gonna try her as a nihility support but i guess its clear shes specialized for dot teams. i do like her more than luka already, luka is fun in his ideal conditions but not so much in aoe

None of the new guides mention a nice perk for Gwen, she makes Woof viable with a Destruction main dps. I have E1 Clara so Guinaifen might become my, "We have Topaz at home" character.

Spent 10 pulls on banner because of her and it did work. It would take a lot of time to full build her because I spent a lot of resources on Jingliu, got her with S1 Eyes of the Prey (have S5 on Sampo) but still didn't put on test because I only have +0 relics (4xMusketeer and Space Station) and lack of credits to level her and LC up to 80...

Guinaifen might be worse than other damage amp, but currently I only have Asta and Tingyun (and I won't build Pela). Asta and Tingyun are amazing, but they're both ATK buffers, which aren't very effective for Blade and Jingliu. Conclusion: I'll definitely be throwing Guinaifen into non-DoT teams just because I don't have anyone better. I love that Vulnerability is such a rare form of damage amp that a 21% Vulnerability debuff is almost always a direct 21% damage increase.
True! Enemy modifiers (DEF, Vuln, RES) are rarer to debuff so yeah its great to have on the roster! :)
I ended up with her e6 while pulling for Topaz, and now I’m tempted to pass on pulling for Silver Wolf like I originally planned and build her as a budget Pela for my second team. She’d go well on my Blade team since they can spare the SP and then I can put Pela with my more SP heavy units like Qingque.
I went 60 pulls for her, bringing my pity up to 70 and getting just one copy of her. Meanwhile, I got sushang up from e0 to e2 (I did want at least one copy of her for better SP management) and Luka went from e0 to e4.
I'll wait to see what the upcoming banners will be before I risk pulling any further, since I want Silverwolf.

I think bcz my sampo is so heavily invested it'll be hard for gwen to beat him but maybe I can still justify building her for wind resistant fights

She is this games Yoim and she's great. Just like Yoim i love her design & fire/pyro is a great element.
I do wish there was an overhaul/rework/actual change to how DoTs appear though..i wish they were more prominent/flashy and stood out but for Guinaifen in general she is solid. Simple kit, effective in multiple teams especially Kafka teams ofc & she's 4 star so win win.
Got 2 of her on my main acc and 1 of her on my alt. Now we wait for the new sets to come out then 1.5 :)

I like her design and I got her but I haven't really been convinced to build her up. Most stuff I see is about Kafka who I don't have nor have any desire to go for so I don't know if she would do much for me. So she'll probably just sit there.

Got her painlessly in 20 which also let me snatch Seele's light cone ^^ A little disappointed, though not surprised, that she's not as helpful in non-DoT teams. But I don't really care I love her. And maybe she can finally solve my lack of fire dps/break for certain relic caverns...
Only got her E0, (I would have loved her E1 but got Shafted going for Topaz (Won the 50/50 on Topaz) and Building Pity some Afterwards (Gonna aim for Huohuo for Supportive reasons) and when Kafka comes back around Imma aim for her as I see myself wanting the Amplifier of the DOT Playstyle more.
I love my Nihility teams so I got her at E6. Picked up an E1 Topaz and a Yangqing along the way which I guess isn't awful lol. Debating whether Topaz Lightcone is actually good or not, seems like it suits team wide damage and not just her... decisions decisions 🤔
Its for topaz and her team yea, so very decent if you want her in a dual dps team / good for solo nonetheless

Kafka and E6 Sampo really do a lot of damage, good thing is that it might take some time for Kafka's rerun and you can farm a lot for her (which is worth). Even after Jingliu, Kafka is still my main with E6 Sampo + E6 Luka + Fu Xuan. Sadly I won't be able to get more E for Guinaifen, thinking about keeping my jades for Silver Wolf's rerun.

Heyy, guoba, thank you for the thorough guide, as always much dedication can be seen for it, great work! Now, I reallly like this character, mostly for aesthetic reasons, and I intended to make her a subdps the best I can. But looks like the odds are against it as I barely managed to get her e0. In fact I got her 11 pulls later after already obtaining Topaz 💀 (goal was to get her as high eidolons as I can before reaching Topaz). Seeing this video, it seems like she wouldn't do too much, or if she does, she'd either need a teammate, like Kafka, who I don't have, or more eidolons, although, that's my dilemma now. Would it be worth going for more eidolons for her and try to make her a subdps? Or is she bound to be more of a support afterall. I'm taking into consideration the risks there are as a subdps since she is so squishy. Sometimes a dps being too squishy is a bit of a problem, like with Topaz and Seele, but at least you're guaranteed that they'll do a terrific job while alive so they are worth the risk. But with Guinaifen it seems like she'd get deleted easily and even while she's up she wouldn't do too much... It's unfortunate also that she's Nihility and the DoT type rather than supportive like Pela/Silver Wolf. For Harmony characters I found an easy way to keep them alive and strong with just simply going hp/def primary stats haha. Anyway, I'm wondering if pushing now for more eidolons will be worth it as a subdps, considering also the fact that we'll soon receive new DoT focused gear.
I think you can stick with E0, but yeah she needs a bit of defensive stats with her offensive stats, still does decent dmg IMO ^^ ty for the nice comment

Ideally yes for a triple dot team if you’re confident, but if not pela is just fine there

Sadly my pulls have dodged even single copies for GNSW and EoP so I really only have Fermata/SH as light cone options (I use event LC on SW and resolution on Pela)
Maybe? I dont like solitary, and if no meaningful energy then the stats on it succ, so i havent calc'd solitary + err rope since its too chaotic and unreliable
I was at 0 pity and did a 10 pull for Guinaifen and got my first Bailu lmao. Girl saved me some 70 pulls for my future Black Swan. Maybe I'll do another 10 pull for the alarm girl.

Tried pulling one copy of her but got a e2 Bailu along with her in 30 pulls so I guess it's somewhat a W considering I didn't really want Topaz and now I have a free guarantee. (though I would still take literally anyone else other than Bailu at this point 🗿)

Welt would be an outlier though. Cause his skill deal more damage than Daniel IL 1 point enhanced basic. And his ult is also a lot stronger

welt with his sig and serval rocking passkey? i don't think guinaifen would do that much with welt but... 3stack firekiss vul with welt's ult 12% vul might be bonkers. serval might also be strong if serval has a break crit hybrid or full break build since firekiss vul also ramps dots

They stack but adding 20% doesn’t mean 20% dps boost anymore since you’ve already got vulnerabilities. It’s also linear not exponential

I got E2 Guin while (failing at) pulling Topaz and I'm pretty unsure about building her. I don't have Kafka and I don't see much point to a DoT build without her (unless DoT is on buff in MoC). Not sure I'd ever use her over Pela either.
Can just bench her then 😔 not every unit has a need to be built

e9 guina in 250~ pulls, sadly i have literally 0 mats for anything other than ascensions, will build her during the rest of topaz's banner tho, and a new kafka teammate is huge for e2s dot increase.

Won my 50/50 for Topaz so I kept pulling until pity again and got Guinaifen E2... Then I gambled I would LOOSE my 50/50 to keep on pulling for more of her and I got Clara E1 out of that lol. Currently got E4 Guinaifen from my pulls but i plan on going until pity again and if I get an early 5* it's whatever. I switched on Seele's and i don't have her so worst case I unlock Seele and best case I "built pity" for Silver Wolf 😏. Also unlocked Luka and got him to E5 so if I dont get more of him I'll use my event invitation for his E6 (already have Pela and Serval E6 and dont care about Hook's E2). Sushang completely dodged me though I got 3 of her 😅
I have s1 eyes of the prey and s3 resolution, but since kafka's new set already ignores def im wondering if i should use eyes of the prey for the effect hit rate and dot increase. What do you think?
I still have not gotten a single copy of the luka ce and I've been playing since launch... and despite not owning kafka, I have s5 good night sleep well, so I guess I'm using that on her until the game decides not to suck. And... yes, I run fermata on pela for the break effect... edit: because I have sw and run tutorial on her

Sampo still does have more dot vunerability and an easier time to proc pearls as well as good energy. BUTTTT I fricking loveeee her!
Sampos Pearls hits can miss, and at S5 youre building enough EHR to guarantee it anyway
Sampo has 1.6% more vuln but its tied to his ult, isnt infinite, and is only for DoTs, not the whole kit

I'm torn between using broken keel and fleet of the ageless on her, and between atk percent and fire dmg which stat would be beneficial on her sphere
If youre running just for support then go for some spd i guess instead of extra atk%? And fire dmg sphere

For her pure supportive power i think so yea. If they’re wind/phys and fire weak then it’s a matter of aoe vs ST for Luka, and I guess I’d still prefer her over sampo
