"DoTs don't snapshot" That is in my opinion the most important part of this video (for min-maxers) and it went by in like 3 seconds :D
Except for Break DoTs. Since Break DoTs only scales with Break Effect. This may change of there are new characters that can buff Break Effect.

specifically to see how you would use Yukong in a DoT team. knowing this you can have your Yukong act last so that her buff is active through all of the enemies turns and the first two turns of your next cycle. Probably better for Clara teams since a lot of her damage is dealt on the enemy's turn instead of her own and Clara can actually benefit from the crit buffs from Yukong

Same! I just built Kafka and Sampo for the past 2 days, and I've burned 90% of my resources.
Kafka is doing well already but Sampo is still 80% built.

Same I even got E1 Kafka by accident trying to get more sampo and luka dups just to find out they suck unless well built. So I just use her with Tingyun and Asta.
Here I am maining sampo before kafka and build him crit instead of atk 🤡
I think a point you should add, is that these DoTs just like buffs and debuffs in the game will only refresh the duration when applied again during the duration. This means that for example, serval applies shock with skill(2 turns) then ult before the enemy moves, extends it to (4 turns), if serval use skill again, the shock DoT will refresh back to 2 turns. I guess this is only important for Serval as she's the onlu one that can extend DoTs(for now)

Another character that can decrease enemies resistance is Pela, but only Ice resistance and if you have her at E4.
Also, loucha at e6 but not many people will have that

For resistance penetration sources in the game you missed the 4 piece quantum relic set, against enemies weak to quantum, this makes it highly situational, but viable none the less

The counter to enemies taking more turns. Is have the team or kafka take more. Therefore more follow up, ult and skilll use.
One cool way to expand DoT teams' elemental coverage would be to make an Ice Nihility character who can apply a unique ice DoT (in the same way erode is a unique lightning DoT), as well as having a freeze. Thus, they could add DoTs for Kafka to trigger, as well as strengthening the team's overall DoT damage by causing more triggers through freeze's AV boost.
No, someone that quantum dots enemies and gives kafka turn skip plus energy/dmg/speed boost.
While healing or reducing dmg.
Extra pop plus 1 char filling all roles needed a for multi dot comp.

Does Planetary Rendezvous Lightcone on Tingyun also improve Dots from Kafka? I tried but it seemed to have no visible effect.
It should since it buffs Kafka's own elemental damage 🤔

Kafka is op dot. You can combi with any types of dot provider and she just burst the damage output

out of curiosity. In your dmg showcase for maximizing dmg couldn't you have increased the dmg significantly if you used tingyun ultimate after kafkas turn? Since dots don't snapshot you use the 50% dmg increase from tingyun with kafkas skill and loose it for the Dot proc

Ok, since it does not affect quantum entanglement dmg, what does? I am asking, since I saw a 166k entanglement dmg yesterday on my Seele (in the current event) and I have no idea what caused it to go that high :(

I'm most likely gonna use OHE Top on Gepard so he can keep freezing them. Does the DOT light cone for Gepard override the burn DOT from Asta or does it stack? I haven't tested it out yet but if anyone tried it out let me know plz =]
If DOTs are not good with slow debuff, does that mean they are also not suitable with extra turn buff from Bronya?
They are great with slow debuffs as they allow kafka to gain more energy while getting more procs from follow up, skill and ult.

slowing enemies would also be not that bad since kafka can activate them which means you can drop some free damage

Is there any point in using multiple DoT types? Like Lightning+Wind+Bleed on the same team. Or is it much better to do Kafka plus Serval for never ending shock damage and then add an Asta to the team to increase the overall damage even more? And finally, does the weakness of the enemy actually matter when using a DoT strategy or is simply spamming DoTs good enough?
it depends on the Weakness.
Serval (Erudition) doesn't have the Vulnerability debuff to increase the DoT dmg thats why.

Yeah but she does increased damage against shocked enemies and extends all shock durations. DoTs from both Kafka and Serval combined with Serval doing extreme damage and Asta buffing both of them at once. I feel like this hits the maximum number of things on the list to make DoTs effective while also doing a ton of regular damage.
I think for Kafka the potency of the dot and the debuffs matter, Sampo should pair up the best because his ultimate makes all dots do more damage and they itself are decent and Luka's physical dot is very strong in terms of raw damage because physical dot scales of enemy % max hp. Serval's dot isnt that strong and she is an elation unit so she's more comparable to someone like Jing Yuan in terms of use-case and in the best scenario you will have the dot up like 99% of the time anyway so I don't think Serval extending it does much.
The Weakness does not matter as much for dot teams because you can just "brute force" it through raw dot even if you dont break them, but characters are always better if you use them to counter the respective weakness
but in the end I don't know everything so I might be wrong, if that's so please correct me^^

Well one of the playstyles is definitely maximizing DoT damage. But there's also a style where you just buff Kafka up and do damage with her with supports like Bronya and Tingyun and apparently she can sustain her DoTs always. I guess my approach is kinda in the middle of them both where I try for consistent DoT and damage at the same time.

Tingyun & Bronya can make my kafka hit 100k per ultimate at lv8 with 3-4 enemy
And decent DoT per skill i can hit 20-30k at lv6 skill with 2-3 enemy
Im using Good night sleep well S2 with 4 set Band of sizzling thunder + space sealing 2 set & im happy with the result ^^
if i had the materials i would try building Shampoo & Luka too, but for now i will stay with this setup ^^

i like to run a hypercarry kafa team where im using tingyun and asta + 1 healer. Asta passive at max lvl give you 60% atk bonus which let tingyu have more atk so you can buff more atk for kafka so she can hit like a trunk while have decent DOT. Easy MoC 10 btw
how about the shampo light cone increase DOT by 36% (SP3) does that mean damage or what?
I actually didn't know Pela's LC works with DoTs too... I guess I'll replace my Kafka's Fermata and go for Pela's LC instead. Even though it's just S2, its damage multiplier is still higher than S5 Fermata.

I think better will be swap out Sampo or Luka for some support, the most good will be SW or Pela for nihility, or Asta for Harmony. SW/Pela will debuff enemy DEF leading to have more dmg from both Sampo/Luka and Kafka, whereas Asta will buff ATK for both units. If you will use all three dot units, there will be difficult to manage skill points (actually, I'm not sure about this), and it likely will be more difficult to well build all three units, whereas supports not such sensitive for stats. I hope you understand my bad english xD

You forgot to mention the Preservation light cone that gives a DoT effect when enemies attack you. Whether or not it's good though I have no idea, but I wanted to try it out with the Fire MC

From personal use I find it very viable. Plus I like seeing all debuffs possible proc.

Ya know what sucks, I've been getting God Rolls of Crit Rate and Crit Dmg Artifacts..but the ONE time I want ATK and effect rate it's avoiding me like the plague. Seeing these god-rolls on Artifacts I DON'T need them on is making me want to cry..

Pela's E4 reduces ice resistance
I'm currently using Bronya to buff Kafka instead of Luka, (with Samo and Bailu), and I can get around 22k - 25k dmg with that comp (using Kafka's skill). Kafka isn't fully upgraded, still missing 2 levels of every trace, only her skill need only 1 upgrade left (at lvl 80). You guys think it's a good choice to use Bronya? Or Maybe using Luka I would get even more dmg via Kafka's skill? Btw I forgot to mention I'm using Herta's shop nihility light cone at superimposition 5, which gives me 40% more DoT after casting skill

That's DoT bonus damage, not elemental bonus damage, so I would think it would work 🤔 but maybe I understood the words wrong
