- The final 18.7 seconds of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on May 7, 1995. Pacers star Reggie Miller scored eight points in 8.9 seconds to lift Indiana to an improbable 107-105 win. Immediately following the conclusion of the game, Miller spoke with NBC's Dan Hicks.
Normal people: reggie was a legend
Me: why is the whole Pacers team bald?
"Me an intellectual"...edit that right👆
Aerodynamics homie
too much strees i guess xdd
Coz everyone wants to be like Mike lol

The LEGIT definition of “It ain't over til it's OVER"
No, i call it choking!
For real!
@1thug aka Hollywood Coke!! Go fuck your self!
100%
Good ole Bill Walton commentary. You would have thought the game was over.
That is what you call “clutch”
a combination of clutch and choke. The Knicks also blew it by passing it right to Reggie, Starks misses 2 free throws, then Ewing misses a point blank shot and they foul Reggie on the rebound, then Greg Anthony slips and falls on last possession. I remember watching this live as a Knicks fan. What a disaster. 🤦♂️
@@-Stinky_Pinky Despite the Knicks failures it's all Reggie's merit. I too was a hardcore Knicks fan during the era and I cried during that game.
That was great and I don't like Reggie but I got to admit you did your thing but mj still the greatest
Right on!
More like "luck" lol
Reggie looks like one of the "I Am Legend" Zombies.
I am reggie lol
Savage comment lol 😂
Omg so true! 🤣🤣🤣
@Cracka Killer that's a compliment.
@Cracka Killer Funny because he is a pure form of black inbreeding
"John Starks choked" what a savage to say that on air. Miller Time!!!

Love it!
Rip Mason he shit on him to saying Mason chocked he threw it to me
He choked as did Ewing - Ewing was a huge disappointment in NY
@@TR-vr5pz Ewing a disappointment??? HOW, lmao

@William Loudermilk lakers never trail in the finals and won 4-2 what are you talking about they could've possibly tied the series that's all
William Loudermilk 😂😂😂😂
Looool
@William Loudermilk he thought his true villain was in new York, that villain was not to be seen during the Lakers showdown
That’s because John Starks was a punk.
When Starks was shooting those free throws, I could feel the nervousness of the crowd. How quiet it is.
Half the crowd was gone. They either: A. Thought the game was over; or B. Didn’t give a shit.
Google big picture project (2nd search result) and read "the Present" on the site to see the truth about life/death explained in 4 pgs. Nothing is more important than reading/checking it is true
“We looked at John’s eyes, and he wanted no parts of those foul shots.” - Mark Jackson
These were the teams from the east in the 90s ... They sucked lol
John Starks wanted nothing to do with those free throws
lol
@Ben Tackett first shot was on point just rimmed out. 2nd was full choke
So much truth in that statement...
Fun Fact: If you averaged 8 points every 8.9 seconds you would become the NBA's all-time scoring leader in just 16 games.
True

Mason choked and threw me the ball...Starks choked..Talking about calling out dudes classic!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lol called out his teammate too...straight shooter
Reggie understood how to control the pace of the game with or without the ball. He was hated for being so far ahead of his time getting to the free throw line and into his opponent's head under pressure. He always looked like the innocent one.
He used to say "the problem is perfectly officiating an imperfect game. Lets just play ball"
"Sam Mitchell chocked but I bailed him out"
Idiocracy demands demands a platform to say stupid shit. Was it scripted when Curry kept winning games with three point jumpers from half court? What about when Tyson knocked out Trevor Burbak for the title im his words because he was burning from an std and couldn't see a doctor until the following Monday? I suppose Patrick Mahomes running at full speed throwing off his left foot was predictable.
I’m 37 years old and I stil watch this clip at least 3 times a year. He devastated my Knicks. I love the NBA

What's always overlooked is not that Reg hit those 3's, but stole the ball, had a clutch rebound in the paint amongst the bigs, hit 2 clutch free throws and shut Anthony down in a full court press. Miller literally did everything to win this game for Indy!
1 dislike from John Starks
Greg Anthony with another dislike

Lmfao 😀
Chase 0420 huh? Basketball is grown in Indiana.
Nobody's talking about Ewing shooting the ball too early after getting the offensive rebound. They should've held for a last shot to prevent another possession.
the Knicks were still in shock at that point

During the time Reggie scored 8 points, Greg Anthony tripped and fell flat on his face TWICE, causing both plays that lost them the game. Was he secretly a Pacer?
@Jonathan Rose he choked 2 critical free throws. Knicks could of been up 2. If he made the 2 free throws, there wouldnt be a foul to miller after the play, causing Pacers to go ahead up 2. Major Choke.
Pushed
William Loudermilk
So you’re saying the league wanted the Knicks to win?
William Loudermilk you cant really rig 8 points in 9 seconds, you can miss a shot on purpose or trip on purpose but you can’t guarantee that kind of play

Everytime I'm down double digits with 30 seconds to go in 2k I think what would Reggie do
I remember watching this game live on TV as a kid and having my mind blown with those back-to-back 3’s. This still stands as one of the most impressive sports sequences of all time.
Reggie is such a GOAT
Jwhite Yup! My FAV player of all time!!
Reggie " no rings " Miller
illiam way How many rings u got pal? Exactly
Reggie Miller could spit out points when you needed it. Clutch. I was a Bulls fan but I always watched him play when Bills played them. Even with MJ on the floor
Grew up a Bulls fan. I really didn’t like Reggie at all, but he was def one of the all time greats.
The thing i remember about him is he was always, ALWAYS moving without the ball! Stephen Curry was great coming out of college, great with Mark Jackson (who made him the sgar he is, along with the team), but it wasn't until Kerr made him live without the ball: that is when he became an MVP all time great. That aslo made Klay free to explode. They were great with Durant but he did not understand fully the power of being off ball.
"I ran on to the court and threw a hot dog at Reggie Miller" - Kramer
This moment right here is why Reggie is in the Hall of Fame, no lie.
@@JohannesWOW You wanna check the numbers bro? PPG mean anything? very little D, min rebounding. I love Reg , but without this moment nobody would care. Truth watched Reg his whole career. And I do not hold the zero titles against him ,4real.
Look at his career wins shares; I believe it's right on par with Kobe's. Reggie is underrated and was pretty ahead of his time. If he shot threes like players do now (like 10 a game) and offense was favored like it is in today's game, Reggie's PPG would be higher for sure.
Can't just look at raw stats. Look at how efficient the guy was.
Career 174.4 win shares. That puts him at 18th all time, ahead of Kobe Bryant. There are many hall of famers who only accumulate like 100 or so, some even less. Like I said, he didn't shoot as many threes as players do in today's league, because analytics weren't the way they are now and the game is evolved. Plus, wasn't he the all time leader in three pointers made until Ray Allen broke his record? How would he not be a hall of famer? He literally led the league all time in one of the most important statistics in the game.
@@LooseCan88 this was his most special moment but without this game he still makes the hall of fame. Just sayin
@@rynemehan2950 Kobe and Reggie do not belong compared, I give him credit for being a great 3 point shooter. Reg played on good teams and was very clutch, however that said hes not an all time great in my opin.

For real. I remember winning our first title there in 99. Good times 😂
Ouch 😬
True- I loved watching the Bulls mopping the floor with the knickerbockers. Haha
@Thomas Maloney First of all counting the champion roster doesn't prove anything i'm pretty sure you weren'T even born when new york got the title secondly if you really think that championship is a success let me remind you in the early 70's nba had only 14 teams and most of them had echonomic problems and not had enough quality to be a nba team so i think if you want to talk about success then i suggest you to talk about 99 finals that's an example of success cause you beat all the toughest teams in the east and reached the finals and if you could beat the sas you would have the nba trophy IN A REAL NBA that would have been a story of success but besides that you dont have any success in the playoffs in almost 20 years and the only trophy you got is Porzingiz's skill challenge
Miller Time where you even alive when that happened? If so, hang on to your ABA/NBA memories for the rest of your life
Am I the only one who felt the game of basketball in the late 90's early 2000's was more exciting than today's game?
I love Reggie recounting all the Knick players that choked
I like how in the nba 8 seconds can become five minutes
Miller was definitely clutch, but the Knicks played themselves to that loss just as much as Miller took it.
Patrick Ewing rushed the shot.
True. Still very clutch to hit both 3s though
Absolutely

Reggie Miller is legendary!!! Till this day, this one of the craziest performances ever.
That will always be a classic moment! That was incredible!
Knicks were the ultimate chokers. This is the 2nd worst moment in Knicks history, with the Charles Smith lay up debacle being the 1st.
William Loudermilk he wasn’t mediocre, he just couldn’t deliver like a lotttt of NBA players. Still the greatest player Indiana has ever had. Would be a great player in today’s NBA as well because of the fact that league has become a 3 point shooting league.
crazy bc charles smith was our hero growin up around Bridgeport...My best friends mom taught him in high school..He was reppin CT to the fullest til that debacle..Sad bc he was a great player for awhile but after that it was all downhill...

John Starks poor performance in Game 7 of the 1994 Finals is the worst. The Knicks could have won the championship that year.

I would seriously like to know if Reggie has ever missed a free throw in crunch time. I mean he doesn't even flinch, pause or think at the line... I mean talk about supreme confidence in your free throw ability. Unreal.
He did.
Yep it’s automatic. I think it has to do w his routine, he does it every time, a few low dribbles and then a quick pop up shot all in one motion.
Péter D. Vs the Knicks too if im not mistaken
It's called it's just a freethrow literally free shot, imagine missing that ha

What a great moment for us Indiana Pacer fans! Reggie Miller was a great player who was one of the greatest clutch players of All-Time! I am happy he made the Hall of Fame as he deserved it!
Ugh. UUGH! I will NEVER forget this. I was 10, my father went to take a leak because the game was over. He came back and Im sitting there in utter shock and disbelief. What's funny is that the Knicks would have likely won at least one title if not more in the last couple of decades if Dolan would have let Pat Riley have the control he wanted.
