Remember this is baroque music. Very articulated, for the beginning notes should have a little space between them. The allegro was very good though. The harmonics need to be noticed a little more too. Also very good trills.
You give me inspiration! Seriously, I just started the bass last year and you're seriously amazing! I'm also learning this song, and playing along with you helps greatly!
I’m 8 years old and I’ve been playing double bass for 5 years now thanks for the vid this helped me get through a lot of fingerings I’m beginning to learn
It's OK, you're allowed to do vibrato on this piece if you want. The composer of this piece told me. We were just chatting on FB messenger, and he said he did a great job
I have literally listened to this on repeat as I try to play it myself, so honestly thank you for sharing it with all of us :)
I'm 14 also! i've been playing bass for 4 years now and i'm working on this sonata for my eyso auditions.
Hey 7 yrs later, how’d the audition go? Still playing bass hopefully?😊

Ahora que la escuche, es mas facil que la estudie, en unos meses voy a tener un recital y me dieron esta cancion

this is my district audition! this video helped because i was interested to see some of the interpretations on the fingerings.
Great job!
You can play this song in the same octave on cello
Hey kid, you're my hero! How long have you been playing? I just took up bass and I'm almost forty. I'm working on this Sonata too.
wait, why is he using 3rd finger? Anyway, Im 14 and this is a good video
I made that question to my teacher and he said me that in Italy they use the 3rd finger
Also, when you get down to the shoulders of the bas and thumb position, you cant really use your pinkie, so we use our third finger.
Ok my goal is to sound this good for this song for my allstate audition.
I just wish you could've phrased and gotten into it more. it sounded very mechanical as well as the vibrato
Some trinos are missing on the adagio, but still a good preformance
The correct name is "Benedetto"
Am I the only 13 year old playing this?
Christi Sims I'm 13 and learning this
Christi Sims, I’m 13 and I’ve been playing bass for 2 years and I’m learning this piece.
