Nice, here's some other Korean movies you can react to:
The man from nowhere
I saw the devil
The miracle in cell no 7
:p
@@Ander01SE 'The man from nowhere' is elite
@@Ander01SE also the witch subversion part1 ... Is awesome you should watch if u didn't
@@SK1L3Dz Cool beans, will check it out. :)
it’s cool to see that Squid Game has brought attention to other Kdramas and movies.
Got a chance to check out Kingdom as well. It absolutely kills. Hellbound is flawed but interesting too. I'm thinking of checking out Goblin/Guardian: The Great and Lonely God if I can find it streaming. I also checked out the Squid Game director's (still need to memorize his full name, sad to say) other big film "Silenced." Great, but I don't recommend if you're not willing to sit through some very ugly subject matter. I also got a chance to check out Joint Security Area and I Saw the Devil, both are awesome though I Saw the Devil is definitely one of the "deliberately leaves you feeling hollow" revenge flicks rather than the pure catharsis ones.
@@ScorpionViper1001 try to watch The Devil Judge
@@ScorpionViper1001 Goblin is great, highly recommend. I actually woke up today thinking I wanted to rewatch it, and I have no idea what made me think of it. Now I see this comment. IT'S A SIGN!! 🤣
It certainly is - but I've been a huge fan of Korean film for about 15 years now - and I am worried they might follow the money and begin catering to Western audiences - I've watched virtually nothing from the USA for a long time now (Queens Gambit though.....) and I'd hate to see Korean actors poached by the USA for their SFX and Spandex films
@@astrafaan tbh I've had that same worry - that now they're getting international attention on a huge scale they'll start catering to western audiences. I've been into kdrama for about 4-5 years now and I got into them because they're NOT like Western shows. I hope they retain what's unique and interesting about kdrama because the quality and content are great.
You guys pointed out a rule me and some friends made literal decades ago that I've always followed since. Whenever you see a specific genre of movie (Horror, Zombie, Vampire, Monster, etc.), you HAVE to assume that genre of movie doesn't exist in their world, or at the very least it's so insanely niche that nobody knows the established rules we have for them.
Exactly bro. Although I insert my own feelings
It's kinda meta too in this case. Train to Busan is South Korea's 1st zombie film. That's why there's one scene where people searched the term "zombie", because they are unexposed to it both in film and in real life.
I was kind of thinking that it’s like what Rob Stark says about something surprising, “Before they knew what was happening, it had already happened.” And then people would probably be in some type of shock. Great theory to think about though!
From Dusk Til Dawn is an exception.
All of us are dead is another exception 🤣
Great reaction guys. Kim Su-An who played 'Soo-An' would have been about 9/10 years old when she played this role as the Fund Managers daughter, to this day I DO NOT UNDERSTAND how this child didn't get an Oscar for that role especially gripping hold of her father begging him not to go, blaming herself and then that crying and screaming towards the end, ripped my heart out and had me in floods of tears and still does every single time I watch a reaction to it. Some of the most experienced Hollywood actors cannot pull of a more convincing performance as she did at such a young age. I can't believe that film was in 2016 and she's a 15 year old beautiful young lady now and unsurprisingly sought after playing many roles after that performance.
Try her in "A little Princess" if you like her - she was great in that and she's been in several others. Get to see her before she gets poached by the USA :P
Oscars only takes shitty American Movies
This movie was the best and I did cry at the ending plus all characters are awesome.. 😍😍
Me to 😍😍
Except the guy we all hated
FUN FACT: The actor who played the villain guy won a best supporting actor for his role in this film.
"that's our wife comrade" exactly😂 I'm pretty sure we all collectively agreed that she is indeed now our wife
Lol!!!
I DIED AT "she's OUR wife comrade" y'all r too funny. i'm so glad you had fun with this movie
😂😂😂. Lol thanks
"Ain't no way you're running away from military zombies, bro". LOL!
😂😂
Not yall saying Daddy Yoo got a "smooth symmetrical ass face" 🤣🤣🤣
I think what's so (wonderfully) frustrating about this antagonist is that, I get self-preservation, but he was often ruthless needlessly. Like the baseball couple - in the time it took him to throw her at the door, he could have closed the door behind her instead and all three of them could have lived. lol you said you'd hate him in anything else you watched him in and that would be true. He almost always plays villains and they are just as slimy and well done as this one.
The actor did his job well XD
Train to Busan reactions never get old. And this one was *chef's kiss. Y'all notice a lot of nuances that I've missed even after watching it so many times!
If you want to check out a pretty rad Korean Zombie TV show, I highly recommend The Kingdom. Very interesting to see a zombie outbreak in the 1600s
Yes, this. Very recommended. Great KDrama-Zombie series.
IN THE 1600S ?? Oh man that will be in my watchlist
@@penguin_forest great show
Yes this!
Awesome series! Can't wait for next season.
The MVP of this movie the actor Ma Dong-seok is in The Eternals, he is Gilgamesh. He is soo good.
I recomend you guys to react to Hellbond on Netflix, is only 6 eps and is based on a webtoon.
I couldn't stop laughing near the end as the one dude started taking everyone out. I too felt the same hatred. That guy almost ruined the movie for me lol.
He diiiiid lol
Just wanted to share a little bit about the history of the song she was singing. Queen Lili'uokalani wrote that song when she was visiting Moloka'i and saw a couple tearfully saying goodbye to one another. She wrote the song about loving someone deeply and having to say goodbye.
After the United States illegally occupied and locked Queen Lili'uokalani in her home Ioalani Palace and overthrew the Hawaiian monarchy Queen Lili'uokalani made Aloha O'e her farewell song to her beloved home because she knew the Hawai'i she loved was not going to be the same in her lifetime but she hopes in the future she will be returned to her people.
This director was purposeful with EVERYTHING he did. As a local resident of Hawai'i this scene gutted me. Appreciate yalls reaction. I've been on a Train to Busan reaction binge after Squid Games lol. Sending good vibes 🤙🏾🤙🏾
P.S I FCKING LOVE KINGDOM AND IM SO STOKED YALL MIGHT REACT TO IT. All caps necessary lmao
It's actually pretty accurate to say that the lone survivor(s) would get shot at the end of an American zombie movie since that's what happened in Night of the Living Dead (1968), one of the original American zombie films
Night of the Living Dead was the first undead zombie movie. Before it, the zombie we had was the voodoo variety. That's where the term 'mindless zombie' originated from, not the undead ones.
I’d like to point something out - Gong Yoo talks to the daughter in informal Korean, whereas the daughter speaks very formally to her dad. Normally kids talk to their parents more casually and talk to their elders (like grandparents or older generations in general or strangers) formally. Usually if kids talk to their parents formally (especially at a young age), it can mean that they aren’t close and most likely have a dysfunctional or cold family dynamic.
The "healthy diet" part at the end was actually really cute to see how well you both get along.
Get you a bud like these two.
hell yeah! just watched this movie and roshi’s reaction yesterday lol y’all are right on time
Ha
I just got it in this rewatch with you. The main character knew something about the infection and that's why he was the first guy to realize that they're zombies, not just people behaving violently. That's why he's the guy who said let go of the doors because the infected are mindless and they can't open doors.
Salute to all the Heroes of this movie especially the husband of the pregnant wife, the little girl's daddy, and the homeless man. Kudos to all the makers of this movie and the other actors too!!! They all nailed their roles ❤️
Best horror/zombie movie ever!
Love your reactions!
This movie made me tear up so bad.
Super emotional.
The boiled egg thing is common in korea and japan. Its alot of people's go to snack in between meals and its a common traveling snack
Heck, I do that a lot myself and I'm not even Korean.
@@ScorpionViper1001 same
Everyone who sees this movie misunderstands the train conductor at the door of the train when the bitten girl gets on. His job is not to keep people off it's to make sure everyone is on before they leave. Even if he saw/heard her he wouldn't have stopped her.
I didn’t misunderstand. I know it’s a zombie boarding the train as a viewer hence my reaction and i think many people you think misunderstand think this way.
It’s pure emotion overcoming my logic
The grandma stayed at the door to buy them more time, she knew her sister was there.
It’s crazy cuz while the movie seems like it’s about the father with the visuals and the character progression (the blood stain growing in his shirt to symbolize him growing a heart, him seeing who he could’ve been seeing how the ceo acted, changing to care for others, etc) you realize at the end the daughter was the main character all along. It’s simply the phrase he walked so she could run. And she would be the reason he changed and why so many people could have survived. He lived because of her kindness in the beginning. He got to save the people he did because she made them all realize they needed each other to survive. Even at the end, SHE is the reason they survived and weren’t shot. It’s a whole mindfuck tbh and there’s so many theories that I have from this movie alone. I love this movie so damn much
I appreciate and respect the fact that you acknowledge that we know what is going on as the audience, therefore we can say what we would or would not do in that situation. The movie people don't know what we know...naturally.
Yea. Tough thing to separate knowledge from emotion lol. Watching these people run into their doom is tough lol
Fun fact: this whole movie is CGI. The whole thing is a single train car with three sides and a roof in a set and that the whole movie is literally then acting so fucking good it’s insane
if you guys like zombie theme you should watch kingdom season 1,2 and prequel. probably the best zombie tv show and it takes place in joseon era. they have old single shot rifle and swords. no electricity, no concrete building, no paved roads.
Not even rifles yet, smooth bore only! But yeah I would love to see a reaction of it. The Movie is not really a prequel though. For sure shouldn't watch it first.
@@Michael-bn1oi I mean, military in every single zombie movie is useless anyway lmao. They only exist to either make situation intense (about to bomb the whole town, get the fk out) or there in the end of the movie for closing. We rarely even see gun being usefull in zombie movie
@@cloverdnibber9905 I never mentioned the military, and guns are useful in most zombie movies. What are you even talking about...?
Korean dramas and films really know how to put you through the emotional wringer.
The beginning of the zombification of humans started before the train even took off. Not only did the girl with the bite hop on the train, but everyone on the mezzanine level was distracted by something going on as the train was departing.
Also the lil girl saw someone got jumped as the train was leaving..
Lol didn't expect you both to react to this movie lol. A surprise indeed but a welcome one.😊✌️
Trains and zombies are always a dramatic combination
I've watched this movie so many time and I never fail to cry at the final train scene. Looking forward to your Kingdom reaction!
..I think the reason why they made the bad guy survive till the end is to make a clearer contrast for the character development of the MC..because both the MC and the bad guy were selfish and money driven in the beginning but then 1 got his character arc and changed throughout but the other didn’t..also shows how far worst an individual can be at the time of crisis..but yeah, this is my favorite zombie movie of all time..❤
just goes to show, that humans are the biggest threat in a survival situation
one of my top favorite movies… i’ll never get tired of rewatching this with reactors. also enjoyed your reaction to this!
I’ve watched this hundreds of times and I always cry at the tunnel scene. Just hearing her sing and understand that she’s sitting in trauma right now. 😞
If you guys haven't realized yet, the strong husband of the pregnant wife has acted in Marvel's Eternals too as Gilgamesh!
I remember watching this a few years ago with my mom. We both teared up (her more than me).
You guys should definitely check out kingdom. It’s another Netflix original kdrama about a zombie apocalypse set during the joseon era in Korea. It’s just as good as train to busan.
Y’all: "handsome homie from squid game"
My brain: Handsome Squidward
Lol
When everyone was separated and it was the pregnant woman’s group stuck between two cars filled with zombies, they couldn’t close the doors because one door had broken (you can see glass all over the floor) so there would be no barrier to keep one car of zombies out even if the other door was shut. Not to mention even if the door were intact and shut, the glass would break.
oh damn I watched the movie MULTIPLE times, watched several reactions but never caught that detail. nice catch
I have a theory, when you are infected, you will remember the most impactful memory or emotion, for the old mom, it was the girl still wanted her mom even though her who was nice to her and her mom abandoned her, for the guy that we all hate, it was the moment where he got lost from his family as a child and nobody offered to help him which probably was what made him who he was and our main protagonist, it was the moment where his daughter was born.
The guy you two love, is over here. His name is Lee Dong-seok, Known as Don Lee. And he made is FIRST American appearance, speaking English, in The Eternals as Gilgamesh
The guy in the blue suit is on The Eternals
Have not seen that yet
You guys should watch Kingdom. That series is a fucking gem. It's also korean and the it's a zombie series. Go go go. It's so good. Thank you for these reactions btw! 💜
26:00 now that got me thinking, if you turned into a zombie, do you still maintain the strength and speed that you had when you were human?
I don't usually comment but great reaction I love this movie.
Thanks a lot
Yesss! Wanted this for a while thanks guys!
"oh that's the handsome homie from squid games." hahahaha love it.
9:17 instead of didnt hear, i think he just thought that was another person who was rushing to get inside because the train is already started to move
You guys should definitely check out The Witch Part 1:Subversion!! it has the baseball player kid (Choi Wooshik) in it, and it is defiantly an action-packed fun watch!!
Su-an’s dad is going to the Moon this Christmas, in Netflix sci-fi, thriller series “The Silent Sea”.
Now I am curious of what other Kdrama zombie movie you have watched since this your best!!!!
AND I SAW the pinned comment LOL.
Lmao!!!
😭💕 I've lost count of how many reactions I've seen so far.
im actually surprised so many reactors have never seen Train to busan lol
To explain a little bit on why the main character guy's company was the one who caused all of this is because the company tried to intoxicate the livestocks for their own advantage, something about cheating the economy of their clients. Their clients are probably mostly farmers and or lower working class who rely on livestocks. They did it in order to "manipulate" their clients into borrowing more money from their company. Since the main character guy is the company's fund manager, he was one of the people in his company who were responsible for this plan.
that healthy discussion at the end is the cherry on top 🤣😂
"He got that farm body size" AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
ngl that sound was impressive 12:43
Been practicing all my life lol
He got the role of gilgamesh because of this movie
15:14 omg that reaction and what you've said was hilarious and cute LOL
Ooo never know you guys were reacting to this i already know you boys gone to love this movie
It was so fun watching your reaction! Thank you
I love the right guy keep whispering as if the zombies could hear him react to them, he's so into the show! Lol
the old lady sacrificed herself so the rest would have time. she saw hee sister.
You-"she has to stop screaming"
Everyone else- 😭😭😭somebody give the little girl an Oscar!😭😭😭 LOL.
Korea has nice movies Netflix also released some cool shows lately like Law school, DP, Vincenzo, Extracurricular, Move to heaven, The Uncanny Counter,
this movie is just amazing. it's been so long and it's still amazing. a Rollercoaster of emotions.
Love this channel. Your reactions are the best. You guys should def check out a Korean movie called Forgotten also a german series called Dark. Both have amazing story lines.
A lot of people have said it already but DEFINITELY watch Kingdom!
I already saw YaBoiRoshi react to this movie but i came to see you guys too and ngl i cried a little watching both this movie hits bro
Therr are three household names in this movie. First the guy you also know from Squid Game is actor Gong Yoo. A highly popular and famous actor from Korea. Second is the husband of the pregnant lady, which is actor Don Lee. He most recently played Gilgamesh in The Eternals. And there's also the student on the Baseball team, actor Choi Woo Shik who plays the main character in Parasite.
My favorite Zombie movie of all times🔥🔥🔥
i was waiting for this!
20:00 People are better off informed and panicked than ignorant and calm.
The best zombie movie ever tbh glad you react to this
Hearing you guys discuss the ending makes wish you saw The Mist (2007) next. You'll LOVE that one.
finally u reacted to this ! ♥️
You guys gotta find a way to watch Happiness. Its another south korean zombie series but takes a spin on the genre.
As a Korean, I feel great joy watching Korean soft power spread all across the globe
Y’all playing chess 🙌🏽🙌🏽. I’m bout to swapp my iphone for a Samsung if y’all keep this up.
@@YaBoyRockLee May I recommend "Old Boy" (2003)? This is immortal masterpiece movie from Korea. You definitely need to react to it
Not sure if anyone commented this yet - the main lead actor, Gong Yoo (slapping recruiter from Squid Game) was also in a very popular fantasy-genre k drama series called "Goblin" (or "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God") later in the same year as this movie (playing the titular main character Goblin, a godlike character) & in one episode he goes to the movies with a girl and tries to act cool in front of her, but the movie they watch is this "Train to Busan" & his character FREAKS OUT SCREAMING, throwing his popcorn all over the place! Later he says the zombies were too scary lol.
definitely can't wait to see you guys react to kingdom
Actually the Director want to end the movie with killing the two last survivor but thank god he change his mind. 😂
It was really nice watching your reactions! I really like how you guys pay attention to the movie! keep it up🙌
I also have a series to recommend, it's a Korean series, the title was Hellbound. It's a dark fantasy; drama thriller and I will say it was so good. Though it'll depend on you guys if you like it once you've watched it but if you're interested, I recommend you guys watch it! I hope you guys are having a great day!💜
Just to let you know though, the series might have some sensitive topics such as religions (mostly) and cults. So if you guys think that that's an uncomfortable topic while you're reacting please don't push yourself!
This right here! Yes!
In regards to being shot at the end, it's actually already been done before! Dunno if you guys have seen it, but that's how the original zombie movie ended. "Night of the Living Dead." The main guy makes it through a mountain of bullshit and just gets accidentally shot at the end, mistaken for a zombie.
Korean entertainment really is one of the best! Hope y'all check out Kingdom too!
Awesome movie. Hollywood already working on their version which will probably suck ass lol
😭😭
I loved this movie!! One the best top 5 Zombie Movies of all time!!!!
Loved you guys’ reaction to this! I always recommend this movie to people. I think another movie you should watch is Snowpiercer and Parasite. Parasite won an Oscar last year. Snowpiercer is by the same director but stars a lot of American actors. Both are great.
Kingdom won't disappoint. Waiting!
Thx for the reaction
Oh my god... you two are funny.
"Read, b*tch!" got me 😂😂😂
I hope not only me appreciated the heroism of the Homeless guy not just once, but twice. First, when he covered a cloth to the zombie's head who's attacking Gong Yoo's character, second when he sacrificed his life for the pregnant woman and the little girl. :((
One of my favorite characters in this masterpiece.
Y'all should check out Goblin Great and Lonely God. The dad to the little girl is the main character in that KDrama too. There's a funny scene in it. I kept saying I know this dude from something. They helped me figure out why. Good product placement for sure.
This is not the best kdrama zombie movie ever. This is THE best zombier ever.
I was saying the same thing! if the movie ended with them getting shot that would've been a craaaazy ending or if the screen went dark before that guy fully pulled the trigger then all you heard was * boom boom* then went to credits
Kingdom series it has a zombie too
