Sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an instagram account??
I was dumb lost my login password. I would love any tricks you can offer me!
@Khari Coen Instablaster =)
@Michael Duncan Thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and im trying it out now.
Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Michael Duncan It did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thank you so much you saved my ass :D
@Khari Coen glad I could help xD
Fun fact: The director originally wanted the ending to be different. The ending was going to be the soldiers shooting the two survivors. I'm so so so glad he changed it.
Quite honestly, I would have been so mad, but would have been really positively impressed at the same time ahah x)
@@SignedK Me too! I still prefer this ending though, if only to ease my mind. Would you be interested in reacting to Jiangziya: Legend of Deification? It's honestly one of my favorite Chinese animated films. I really don't like Chinese animated films personally because a lot of people here still have the idea that animations = for kids. But this one is done very well, and is adult themed. I rewatched it so many times, and would love to hear your thoughts and comments about this!
That would have been a terrible ending tbh, like all they've gone through would've been worthless
just like in that movie the mist
the final part is really cool😀
i would've lost my mind bro
The dad and daughter scene gets me all the damn time even after watching it for how many times now.
Same. The moment he pushes her hand from his sleeve automatically turns on the tears every time.
Her scream 😭
@@thea.25 i can still hear her
for me it's her crying, tears instantly
Foreal! the moment she says "It's my fault" The tears start pouring down.
I don't know if someone already mentioned it, but this movie (besides being a zombie movie) is mostly a social commentary to Korean values.
- They are very focused on power dynamics, that's why some of the passengers/train employees listened to the hateful guy, because he was a "big shot" in a large corporate and that's really important to them.
- The father was indirectly responsible for the outbreak because of greed. At the beggining of the movie he's selling the shares of the company that had a chemical leak, which (I think) caused that the company couldn't control it. He only cared of advancing his career, which also affected his relationship with his daughter. He loved his daughter, but he wasn't there, that's why he gave her a wii for the 3rd time, because he didn't remember.
- The lovely pregnant couple represent the working class, socially responsable. Being the moral compass for all the other characters, the sacrifice of the husband was the real turning point for the dad to take care of his daughter and the pregnant lady, punching the hateful guy despite the fact that he was just like him at the beginning of the movie.
- The grannies are often left behind, nobody listening to them or trying to help them (just the little girl and the pregnant lady), because they're seen as a weight more than anything else.
- The young woman at the beginning, the one who spread the virus in the train, was ignored by the other passengers despite the fact that she was clearly injured, because that's what they're used to do, just go on with their business without paying attention to the suffering of the others. Same thing with the homeless guy, like you said, he was really important. First he saved the dad throwing his jacket over the zombie and then he saved the pregnant lady and the kid, but at the beginning they tried to kick him out of the train when he was hidding in the bathroom, telling them that "everyone was dead" but nobody cared about what he had to say.
And more things that I don't remember atm, but you get my point :D
Love your commentary! Thank you for your reaction!
Thank you for these great insights 👌
Thanks so much for pointing this out! Great breakdown, love it.
I'm pretty sure that the one Granny stayed back to slow the zombies down so the young pregnant woman and the little girl could get to safety because the zombies focus on her long enough for the father to close the door.
Ooooo, I didn't even think about it like that. Her sister did scold her for always thinking about others before herself. That scenario makes it more heartbreaking.
Yep. If she didn't do that, the first zombie that bit her would've gotten through the door if it didn't stop to eat her
I thought it was because she knew her sister was going to try n help her and she didn't want both of them killed..that's why she shook her head no...if she is always thinking of others first she wouldn't think twice when it comes to her sister...just my take
The Baseball Boy is Choi Woo-Shik, who also starred in the Oscar-winning Parasite. If you had not reacted to it, you would need to. The Father To Be is Ma Dong Seok; he is in the upcoming MCU Eternal.
I really enjoy your reactions, this movie is emotionally exhausting haha. I cry everytime but this will always be one of my favorites. The Japanese movie 37 seconds is also a very emotional and quite underrated movie on netflix. I'd love to see your reaction on that :)
Deal ! I'll try to find a spot for this one in the schedule, no promise as of when, though, but you have my attention :p
Thank you for being here 😄 !
@@SignedK React to #SB19 WHAT Mood Film
Just to add to the feeling in those last scenes, the song that the daughter was singing is called Aloha Oe. Its a Hawaiian farewell song which translates to Farewell to Thee. So she was singing farewell to her dad as she walked away and it saved their lives.
I highly recommend you check out the series ''Kingdom'' from Netflix. It's also Korean and with zombies, but much more interesting and visually very very good. It's going to catch you fast.
More interesting that this one ? You have my attention, sir ! Ahah, no promise as of when, but I'll try to find a spot in the schedule for this one then ;)
I second this. The name is rather average, but the concept and writing is really well-done. I would also suggest Sweet Home, another Korean show on Netflix, which doesn't have zombies, but a wide variety of monsters.
@@SignedK I wouldn't say Kingdom is better than train to Busan but rather just as good. And that's placing the bar quite high indeed because I love this movie. Kingdom is different in that it's a series (there are two seasons so more time to develop characters) in ancient feodal korea (so it has a historical political drama side and beautiful period costumes and decor). But it also has thrilling action, heartfelt moments and even solid humor. And did I mention the gorgeous and powerful visuals ? Please watch it and react to it. I love your videos.
I second this.. kingdom has to be one of the best zombie series, not only just the zombie story but it has other major plots that make it great. I can’t wait to see season 3..
@@SignedK Honestly Kingdom season 1 was one of the best zombie series I've ever watched. Unfortunately, I found season 2 to be underwhelming.
Omg I felt it so hard when the father realizes his daughter already has a wii. My absent dad did that too
Did you know that the main actor, Gong Yoo, graduated from film and theater; and he used all the money he made from this movie for the special effects of a fantasy K-drama called Goblin where he is one of the leads?
whoa he did that? That's awesome and I've always heard good things about Goblin too
@@monovevb8573 Yes, it is a great series. It has action, comedy, romance, mystery, horror. Anyway, a bit of everything.
@@kulamars Hell yeah Goblin or its alternative title Guardian: The Great and Lonely God is my top K-drama. Can watch it over and over again. OST has great songs too.. And I love Gong Yoo
@@RayRafaaz yeah their OST is very memorable af that even after watching it since 3 yrs ago, i still remember those 😌👌✨
@@souhiyori8032 the most memorable scene from goblin was goblin and grim reaper were reenacting their walking scene through the tunnel XD the original was so dramatically perfect and the reenactment was so comically entertaining!
This is like one of the only movies where I cry every damn time
I think thats my fav part of Korean horror movies. The horror is never the main focus, they're almost always dramas with horror elements, and after decades of american jump scares IT IS SO REFRESHING.
that's why korean films are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO better than America, hollywood is so predictable
Hollywood Zombie movies are pretty much the same. I love that this movie focuses more on the character development and really makes you feel heartbroken when they dont make it.
I can't help but cry every fucking time
The acting
the characters
that fucking babygirl! her cries!!!!!!!!!
such an amazing film ❤️
No one does zombies like korea. There is a 2 season (and counting) netflix show called Kingdom that has full on zombie battles. Like waves of zombies vs a fortified city, fighting on rooftops, fighting on a giant lake, fighting against defensive traps. Its amazing choreo and the zombies just THROW their bodies around.
Except for England with 28 Days Later which the zombies were terrifying.
@@AshaNimo1 Trust me bro Kingdom is on a WHOLE other level
You’re reacting to such amazing films! Thank you so much for sharing your reactions!
Gong Yoo is a brilliant Korean actor. This movie hits hard. If horror is your genre then I recommend The Wailing (2016), also The Host (2006), both are out of SK. I find Asian horror to be more fleshed out than Western and not dependent on tropes like jump scares, etc. It's rare that I like a Western horror unless it's a classic like Psycho.
If you liked Choi Wooshik (baseball boy) you’ll love him in The Witch Part One: Subversion. It’s such a good movie with phenomenal writing and acting. Really underrated to be honest.
I love how I heard that d*mn music play in the intro and I immediately started crying before the reaction even started 😭
I'm a sucker for great music as well 😄
Your reaction to this is so spot on, especially recognizing the grief of the old woman over her sister. A lot of reactors are puzzled by her. Death is something I am intimately familiar with. You’ve got my subscription. Another excellent and very frightening docu-series you should see is “Chernobyl”. The sound design and fear of something you can’t see scared the snot out of me.
I love the in-depth thoughts at the end. It’s just great to hear them, especially since I just started getting into film, and more of the analyzing parts of film. Great reaction!
God damn! I've watched several reactors all putting "FILMMAKER reacts" in their titles, but by god I believe it when you say it, great commentary!
Ma Dong Seok is badass indeed (the husband of the pregnant woman). This is the first movie where i’ve seen him. Heard he’s an official cast in Marvel’s The Eternals. I’m stoked about that 💕
Yeah he is also lived in the US for a while. Totally Fluent in English
i can still hear the girl screaming for her dad..
You're calming
Attack-on-Titan-reacting me may disagree ahah 😅 Thanks though !
@@SignedK you love AOT? oh you will be happy if you REACT to PPOP KINGS #SB19 WHAT? MV 👀
@@tetekomalyaki69 Nice one XD
It's good that your pointed out how nobody noticed the first zombie. They made an animated prequel film called Seoul Station, which served as social commentary on how the people of South Korea intentionally turn a blind eye to the homeless in their country as people ignore their warnings of the first outbreaks and even refuse to give them shelter
This movie is a masterpiece and I can never get enough of it but that ending makes me cry like a newborn every single time
I would love to see your reaction to korean movie The witch part 1- the subversion. This movie was amazing and the acting and story left me with my jaw dropped.
Such a great movie. I love watching reviews of this movie and I loved your reacion as I got to see someone really appreciate it. The story, the film work and the acting were great. That little girl is the real MVP, she acted her tiny behind off.
Thanks :)
Indeed, I hope Kim Su-an can make a great career on the long run !
I came across "Train To Busan" on UA-cam and found it to be an emotional roller coaster ride, going from Fear/Dread/Sorrow. I HATE Zombie movies, but I was hooked after seeing the deer get back up. One reviewer/reactor living in Korea has suggested that this train and it's passengers are reenacting the journey of people fleeing the North Korean invasion during the Summer or 1950, as the Korean War swallowed up the peninsula. Your after-movie analysis is/was refreshing. I've heard native-English-speaking reviewers who got far more tongue-tied discussing movies than you. Kudos to the writer, director, actors, and hard working stunt performers for making a great film.
I adore this movie, it's so good. Got to be my favourite modern zombie film, it's just excellent.
I LOVE THE WAY YOU TALK
i cry every fcking time towards the end im tired
I enjoyed your calm yet vocal reaction and your review from an expert view.
As a fan of zombie movies, "Train To Busan" is so refreshing and at the top for me.
I've watched it many times and won't ever get over all these tragic yet beautiful and powerful scenes.
The most aesthetic scene for me is when the father falls off from the train.
Just by seeing his shadow with the music and the slow-mo, it breaks my heart even more and I'm already in tears from the girl crying and the father parting.
You asked if the director and screenwriter were the same and yes, Sangho Yeon is the name.
I think this is his first real live action movie since he made animated movies before that are influenced by his life experience, so kinda autobiographical.
He made an animated prequel to this movie called "Seoul Station", which many viewers are guessing is where the homeless man is coming from and in 2020 Sangho Yeon released the stand-alone sequel "Peninsula", which takes place 4 years after the events of "Train to Busan".
I've watched "Peninsula" and was very disappointed, it resembled more to a typical Hollywood B-movie à la "Mad Max in a zombie dystopia" production.
But I suggest you to watch it for yourself and I'd be interested in your opinion on "Peninsula" as well as in your reaction and review to the prequel "Seoul Station".
Also, you mentioned how natural the fighting scenes and how believable the zombie actors were.
That is thanks to actual dance professionals who choreographed the turning-to-zombie scenes like Jeon Young from the dance crew Centipedz known as Korea's only bone-breaking dance crew with contortionists and Park Jaein, a former rhythmic gymnast and dance teacher who works with a lot of celebrities.
Both have individually worked on other films before and since the zombie genre got a lot more successful in Korea nowadays, they've been working on more zombie films.
Jeon Young also choreographed the zombie scenes for "Peninsula" and the Netflix series "Kingdom".
I've read interviews of them about how every actor and actress had their own zombie choreography and how every actor and actress added their own touches and individual signature move to their choreography.
They even practiced at least for 2-3 months for their scenes.
I'm amazed how much work was put in there and I wish to see a making of and behind the scenes commentary of the movie because it really shows how unique every zombie actor is (my favourites are the baseball team and the infected girl in the beginning) and that it's not just one big mass of puppets or CGI like in "World War Z".
Plus, if you think about the budgets between "World War Z" and "Train to Busan", I found "Train to Busan" a much better production.
Thank you for sharing your insights, I appreciate it 🙂
"I didn't like the [dad to be]"
Excuse you?
Sir.
Sir, that future dad is The mvp in this damn movie. He would have been the best father. How dare you?
One of my favorite movies 💜💜
The body language of the zombies extras, background, are a tribute to a good director 😲
Fun fact: theoretically, breaking a zombies neck wouldn't kill them as they do not need to breathe in most tropes, but it would sever all connection of nerves in the spinal cord and brain stem, rendering all movement below the neck impossible. Living dead or not, your body cannot move without nerve function and therefor the zombie would be rendered useless. A ragdoll on the floor opening and closing its mouth.
You should check out "The Wailing", "A Tale of Two Sisters", and "Audition" (1999)
It's a minor thing, but it's a shame that these two instances apparently require the audience to expend even a wee bit of suspension of disbelief.
5:17 Your reaction to this scene is quite common. Many reactors I've seen echo your sentiment, "You had one job, dude." And that's unfortunate. This gentleman's job is to assist passengers. He's not a gatekeeper who verifies tickets. Obviously, the director chose to film it this way for effect. But in reality, had the employee noticed the young girl sprinting towards the train, he would've seen her as a straggler running to catch her train and tried to assist her. He might even radio the conductor/steward not to close the door or depart. But why would a filmmaker include that type of scene?
6:08 This scenario is also not far fetched. As someone who's literally taken many trains to Busan, I (and a lot of my fellow passengers) do not tend to stare at passengers. We're preoccupied with our own concerns, often with our heads buried in our phones or even immediately settling in for a nap. Add to that the fact that this train was a red-eye, you can multiply that by 10. But even so, what would passengers think upon witnessing that scene? Wow, that girl must be on the tail end of a bender. Or they may think she had some type of unfortunate neurological disorder. But rarely, if ever, would anyone intercede in any form or fashion IN REAL LIFE. I suppose the filmmakers could've added scenes where passengers "noticed" her and talked amongst themselves about what they thought was going on with her, but the notion that within the 10-second time span it took her for this young lady to stumble past that someone would've done or said anything is more far-fetched than no one at all paying her any mind.
I lived in Korea for 4 years. As US Army soldier. This is very much a cultural commentary for. Some of scenes are very much their society. I think reason why have handled our current virus well. They really do care for each other. More about the whole. This movie hits me hard. I have two Amerasian daughters and a divorce with their mother. Military stress. Fight or flight. How would you react. How are you handling covid19? I see a lot of the same reactions.
For the Zombie actors, I'm not 100% certain, but I've read that they specifically hired contortionists to play the zombies AND dropped like every 5th or 6th frame to make them seem every jittery.
The little girl acts her damn HEART out. Performance of a lifetime.
She sure did 👌
The Wailing? Even better!!
Not sure if anyone commented this yet - the main lead actor, Gong Yoo (also the slapping recruiter from Squid Game) was also in a very popular fantasy-genre k drama series called "Goblin" (or "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God") later in the same year as this movie (playing the titular main character Goblin, a godlike character) & in one episode he goes to the movies with a girl and tries to act cool in front of her, but the movie they watch is this "Train to Busan" & his character FREAKS OUT SCREAMING, throwing his popcorn all over the place! Later he says the zombies were too scary lol.
You can also see Peninsula, That’s part two to train to Busan, Alive, the new and greatest series Kingdom, it’s on Netflix, also black summer, also on Netflix, it’s a different type of zombie series.
One of my favourite movies ever! Not just zombie movie, it is a darn good movie! awwww (yeah, "aww" for a horror movie is weird, my bad)
Just stumbled upon you, and I've gotta say... Your reactions to this terrifying, violent, heart-wrenching, beautiful, depressing, frustrating, action-packed, infuriating, hopeful, tear-jerking, horrific, "delicious," emotional-roller-coaster of a film are wonderful. I love your honesty and look forward to seeing more from you
I think you will like Kingdom too! It's a South Korean zombie serie, but so many different from the things already done in zombie movies!
YESSS I HOPE HE REVIEWS KINGDOM
The worker who had let the first zombie into the train must have thought she was a passenger who just caught up with the train. I was that kind of passenger a couple months ago, and was definitely thought of that scene.
You have one of the most amazingly posh accents I've ever heard! I l Iove it!
Totally laughed reading your comment 😂😂 Thanks I guess !
Thank you so much for your reaction. I really enjoyed it. "Pandemic" is also a korean movie. Its really good and train to busan and Pandemie are definitely one of my all time favourite movies
Thank you ! Ah ! Seems rather topical 😆 I'll see what I can do about it, thank you for suggesting it 🙌
I can SOOO relate to what you said about being "too upset to cry" - for ME, firstly I must say that I've actually developed a newfound appreciation (in my 30's, from the movie "Inside Out") for shedding tears to emotional movies (since I firsthand felt that feel-good brain endorphins can come along with that!).
BUT... if I am angry, anxious, worried, in pain, or have ANY sort of "fight or flight nervous system activity" going on in my body at all... I CANNOT cry for some reason. I need to be 100% calm for it to happen. In fact, I save any potentially tearjerking movies for myself for late at night when others are sleeping, because if I even THINK someone is going to come into my room unexpectedly OR even knock on my door, it puts me on slight alert, and no tears happen, lol.
First let me say your voice is very soothing. This is an awesome movie and the little girl is outstanding!!!!
Train to Busan has a prequel animation film called Seoul Station. I recommend checking out that as well!
this is a great reaction and i love your analysis at the end! love that you had to say you didn't cry because you were so mad hahaha
I really recommend the movie "A Taxi Driver" it's a true story about the gwangju uprising that took place in the 80's over 2,000 people were killed. It's a really amazing story but it's very heartbreaking as well. Hope you check it out!

i was on ktx today. fortunately, there was no zombie. i'm home safe and sound now 😋
i think i'll probably watch this reaction clip again before i fall asleep 😴
Watch out ! Be on your guard ! You never know when they're coming for you 😆
I really enjoy your reactions but this movie has a continuation where the daughter grew up and new characters and more actions i reccommend Train to Busan 2 "Peninsula" it has more action and i hope you'll react to it
Of all the reaction channels, I liked your layout the best.
I have been waiting for this 🤗
6:14 been watching reaction videos for this movie but it seems like nobody is catching this scene and saying 'no one is catching that woman is weird?' well, to explain it, usually people for that high-speed train that connects from Seoul to Busan so quickly, it goes reallllllllly insanely fast, so all the doors are completely sound-proof, and people whose are on the train usually go to sleep right away to kill off the hours of riding. So, I assuming maybe that section of the car's people all are went to deep sleeping already while waiting for the train to take off. It is odd that not a single person is waking up from the weird noises she makes while walking the whole track tho lol..
u popped on my recommended and WOW YOUR VOICE IS SO CAPTIVATING
I loved your review! this is a great movie, and I cried a lot, even watching your review now! I'm a big fan ok Korean cinema, and now I'm your fan!

one of my fave movies. ty for reacting to this, i loved ur commentary on it. i also recommend watching the show 'kingdom' on netflix :)
I want to watch a movie where the protagonist is a badass military guy kicking rotten ass in the zombie outbreak
The train engine wasn't "passing by". The Captain of the train they were on went and got that engine for them to transfer to...that was the announcement that he made.
It wasn't just "passing by" it was "passing by them at that exact moment" xD Could have passed a few minutes before, or a few minutes later. Depending on how long they would have been stuck under the train wreck themselves, they could have missed it.
I am a fan of horror... it's probably the best movie ever made
PLS DO A REACTION TO IT’S PART 2, YOU’LL LOVE THAT TOO!!❤️
Thanks for great reaction. I love this for it's amazing zombies, great action & nice character development. For your next horror movie, I highly recommend The Wailing & Kingdom (nexflix drama).
Thank you for reacting to this amazing movie!! I'd love to see you react to the korean movie FORGOTTEN, it's an amazing Thriller!!
I want to mention the Granny who was always thinking of others. We see she was not aggressive after turning. I believe this alludes to something significant. It appeared to be the same with the father and possibly the pregnant dad. What do you think?
Nicely spotted ! Two possibilities in my opinion :
1) Just a writing choice to make it more compelling
2) If there's a logical explanation, then I'd say that most individuals when they get turned are in an instant of panic and so turn into feral zombies, which wasn't the case for the characters you mentionned, hence they didn't get to become agressive zombies as you stated.
@@SignedK That would make sense, but I was considering the COO as well. He seemed docile until he realized he was infected. I'm pretty sure he was bitten when under the conductor...?
I also wanted to point out that in the beginning of the film when the action is beginning where people have reacted that they don't understand why no one seems to notice what's happening initially. I think it might be making a statement that whatever is happening does not concern them, and so they "mind their own business." A sort of statement about people's indifference...?
@@SignedK Thanks so much, I appreciate your thoughtful responses.
@@dianef6038 But your insights are really well thought, that's refreshing 😄
Lovely reaction! This is one of my favs 👌I love zombie movies and this one stands out. The setting is pretty unique, the tone is different. Really enjoyed the more drama oriented perspective on this genre. The characters are developed and grounded, they feel like real characters with personalities rather than a portrait of a character. Idk if that makes sense haha! They're not shallow and obnoxiously stereotypical to me. I also love the sound design and how they used the soundtrack. One of the best parts for me is the cinematography for sure, some shots had me play them back once or twice when I first saw it. The acting of that little girl... Best kid actor I've ever seen and beats many adults too. Safe to say I cried at the end.
I would love to here your more in-depth thoughts as a filmmaker, maybe more technical based? Idk if that makes sense but yeah haha maybe you could react to or incorporate behind the scenes stuff in your reactions or as stand alone videos. Oh shit you literally just said you have a lot to do I'm sorry haha, if you have time! Don't forget to take care of yourself too
Cheers from Sweden 👋❤️
Hi, thanks a lot, that's really nice of you and thanks for your insights 🙌
I'd like to do more in-depth technical reviews of the movies I'm reacting to indeed, since in a reaction like this you only have so much time to comment and there's a lot to say. I'm still yet unsure what format I could use, and when to do it since my UA-cam schedule is already packed, but I am indeed actively thinking about it !
Be well 😄
La canción de la intro ya me puso sad sin ver todo el video :(

Also I don't know if there's any good behind the scene footage of this movie but I'd be interested to watch and hear your thoughts on it. Loved your video!!!

Wow, I came here to watch your Train to Busan reaction but heard you're also doing Little Nightmares 2 and loves horror genre. Subscribing right away.

Plot convenience? Not really, they were at a train station, and the guy was driving for train away.
The fact that the train came to pass at that exact time to rendez-vous with them is plot convenient. They could have just missed it if they'd been stuck under the train wreck a little longer for example.
Yep. Deliciously infuriating is a great description. The popup scene near the end was corny, but I admit I didn't care the first time I saw it. Was too busy being relieved at his death and irritated at the outcome.
