People need to understand that there is a diffrence between following the way of the salaf and to be a salafi sect. Its not the same thing at all ..
: “My ummah will split into seventy-three sects, all of whom will be in Hell except one group.” They said: Who are they, O Messenger of Allaah? He said: “(Those who follow) that which I and my companions follow.” This is mentioned in the hadeeth of ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Amr which was recorded and classed as hasan by al-Tirmidhi (2641).

Salafiyyah = pure Islam
Salafi = a person who claim to be upon Salafiyyah. He may be or not. Don't confuse the two.
Living in bham I do attend the salafi masjid because their aqeeda is sound but I don't engage nor pay heed to their excessive refutations of people of ilm (unless these people they're refuting are clearly misguided)

Some issues that ought to be corrected or addressed.
1. Being a fringe group doesn't mean anything. They (SPUBS) will use the fact that the believers are always strangers to uphold the fringe argument.
2. They have misled the public and those who seek out Salafiyyah big time. The methodology is not the way of the likes of those who they claim to follow like Al-Fawzaan, Abdul-Muhsin, the Lajna. Nor is their method following in the way of Al-Albani, Ibn Baz or Al-Uthaymeen. They quote selectively from these scholars trying to give their followers the impression that they are with the scholars. They are far away from the scholars.
3. They have made Shaikh Rabee into an 'imam'. Who from the senior scholars of our present time has called Shaikh Rabee an Imam? Former head of Hadeeth Dept at Madinah yes. Knowledgeable for sure but nowhere near the status of those mentioned above.
4. You should mention SPUBS on the title. An increasing number of people are leaving this cult for obvious reasons. Some of them are hovering on the fence thinking how could they have been misled for so many years and all those so called allegations turning out to be true as more and more people come out. Fence sitters need to leave this cult before they ruin both their dunya and aakhira. For the SPUBS blind followers or the sa'aafiqah we made duaa.

Not very good experience with these so called salafis. My advice especially for reverts - just stick to the main body of Muslims, don't go to these splinter groups, you won't find ideal, as we all do mistakes, but Islam is not that rigid and strict as they trying to make it
I mean uthaymeen and ibn baz were hanbali but they didn't blind follow every opinion. But how does that make them not salafi? Dont get it.

Very good video mashaAllah. My personal experience with this group is among them are sincere beautiful brothers who want nothing more then to practice and teach the authentic Islam. And to be fair salafi publications do a lot of good work in teaching authentic Islam. I have benefited from some of their lectures.
However on the other side there are also power hungry megalomaniacs in this group who exploit people for money and use and abuse Muslim women. Among the leaders of this group are known fornicaters and adulterers and guys who marry and divorce Muslim women within a few days. . Some of them reach such a level they feel they can sin because they are part of the chosen group. So u find major disgusting sins among them. They are obsessed with everyone else and no one else is salafi unless u are part of their tiny group. They seem to have a cult mentality and have been known to threaten violence to other brothers. Their biggest enmity is not to the disbelievers or major innovators like shaykh Nazim, nuh min Keller etc. Its too other salafi who dont follow them. Their walaa wal baraa is completely messed up. May Allah swt guide them and us.

It's such shame that people who might be interested in Islam could get the notion that these types are representative of the real Salaf, astughfirAllah.
I strongly suggest to work toward unification of all groups. Everyone believes they are on right side of the river. To elaborate, I believe that there are agreements on 95% of the issues. Yet the stress is on the 5%. Let’s focus on the 95% instead of 5%.
