In this video you will see my repair cost on the Audi A6 which has been sat in the shop for over a month. it is finally ready for sale and the repair bill was huge. I will appreciate all feedbacks on this video and I only aim to improve my content as I go along with this new venture.

Bull shit. You can depend 100 percent on the zf8 gearbox. Audi s tronic boxes are rubbish reliability wise.
I wud get a 2017 model with a manual gearbox 2.0tdi ultra with 190hp plenty, lovely looking cars 👌👍

You don't have the traditional flywheel and clutch setup with a cvt gearbox. So you wouldn't feel the clutch starting to slip as it's a belt between to pulleys. As you say, the main issue is people not having them serviced. I'm sure audi say the internal filter is good for the life of the car but I'd still recommend replacing it.
If u don't know where to spend money get a car or girlfriend
wrong model year, wrong engine, wrong gearbox, made worse by buying at auction.

Should have got the 2.0tdi as the v6 will need the timing chain replaced soon. The 2.00 is just a belt.
don't forget the passenger airbag fault code, needing a new airbag module and coding. can only be performed in an Audi dealer and that's roughly 1300euro. Yes it can be done by a local mechanic who sources the airbag module but still can only be coded by Audi and will only be like 100 cheaper overall. Better to get it done in Audi and avail of the warranty.

ive got the 2012 cvt 2.0 diesel and mines had great history and has been fine for me, just depends on how its been looked after i guess

Zf in the new cars is brilliant gearbox. If yiu can live with an older model the c6 model has the zf 6 speed which is bullet proof
I'd personally avoid any VAG product with a dual clutch of you are going older used
Every single review of BMW, Mercedes and Audi, it's you the Audi drivers that constantly say things like "I had to replace...twice...". I know to stay way clear from Audi.
down to experience though. I had a great experience with an E39 BMW, yet my sister's 320i and a mates 325i caused them no end of problems. I've had no problems with a Merc C320, no problems with VW Passat 3.2, no problem with Golf GTi, no problem with A6 C6 2.8 avant, my sister had had two A6 Allroads driven to the moon and back with no problems, yet my wifes 2013 Ford Fiesta was utter shit, my Mondeo ST220 was unreliable, thirsty and rusty after only 6 years.
If German cars are maintained properly, generally, they will be reliable, its when people miss the schedule that problems arise. I've never replaced anything twice on any of my cars either, save for a Saab 9-5, but then everyone had to replace the ignition cassette reguarly, it was a characteristic and inescapable.

Hi mate I'm looking at a 2015 a6 3.0ltr in the ad it just had gearbox service what you think is it worth buying? Obviously I'll check the car out for other maintenance but on the fence about buying

I actually don’t remember exactly but around 90k miles
Have this exact car and looked at a few before finding the right one. First thing I did was service the gear box and replace the timing/water pump. There’s a lot of these cars out there but the issue is owners not doing preventative maintenance before it’s a costly fix. Isn’t a big job to change the transmission fluid but replacing the gearbox is another matter.
Currently have an A6 that wakes up on it's own and starts playing the stereo. Then it runs down the battery. Dealership can't find the problem.

I drive A6 BITDI apparently the gearbox in mine which is from RS6 it don't need no maintenance! But what has happened to me today is when turning steering wheel there is a grinding noise but on my model there no steering fluid!
Dry clutch. Grinding sounds like a flywheel issue. Check it out before it is too late
That's your clock spring going out. Symptoms may include intermittent horn

I've Audi A6 2015 manual for 4 years and change clutch kit included Flywheel wheel 2 times and worse part is you can't get from out of market only can get from Dealers
That’s common for most major parts to be dealer only which is a proper rip off.
That's liys I just found flywheel for €450 and clutch kit for €270 euro . I guse some one isn't doing his homework 😂
