- While going through other shows I realized I had never uploaded this clip from Stanley Clarke back in May. I'm really glad I recorded this one: at the end of an incredible solo, sax player Emilio Modeste is overcome with emotion and needs to take a moment to compose himself, which Stanley picks up on and gently teases him for in front of the crowd. It was a beautiful moment - it's always incredibly special to see world class musicians playing with such real passion - and it set the tone for an amazing set.
The solo starts at 4:10, and the reaction afterwards is at 6:35.

That's what it means to play with a once in a lifetime phenomenal legend like Stanley to those that know.
New generation of super stars. God be praised.
That new bass Stanley's playing sounds great.
thanks for this upload
I saw Emilio with Christian Scott. What an incredible young player.
Thanks man for uploading it is an amazing band, do you know the name of that tune?
I wish I did, I think that's why I never posted this originally, because I couldn't find it. I think it's a Stanley Clarke tune though, it was the first one they played in the set.
Silly Putty from the "Journey to Love" album.
