The scene Nellie was crying for Percival was so heartbreaking. She truly loved him with all her heart.😭❤Glad they got married they're such a cute couple!
He has rehabilitated Nellie's nature and developed her into a wonderful lady. She has grown up more than her mother, whose flaws were hard to overcome. What is interesting is that the mother and daughter married men of character. History repeats itself.
i just read about that too. what was cool, is that alison arngrim (nellie oelson) was the only one, on set, that knew steve tracy (percival) was gay. the two became very close, and she became very involved volunteering in AIDS project Los Angeles, after his passing.
I love that Nellie, stuck up, bratty, nasty Nellie loves Percival, sweet Percival. I mean, c'mon, who would have thought anything like that could happen? But she just melts around him. And they are perfect together, I love them. =)
"Your mother's right. Her side is just fat." "HOW DARE YOU?!" 😂😂😂 Damn savage. "Let them be alone. Maybe he won't think who his mother in law is gonna be."
Percy and Nellie had a happier marriage than Laura and Almonzo. Laura and her husband were often having incredible arguments. Nellie and Percy didn't see eye to eye on some things but they often resolved their differences peacefully .
She grew up. Little House was before my time. But it has been repeated numerous times in the UK since the 1990s I despised the character, but then I realised her influence was her mother, Harriet. Once she got away from her what a transformation and Nellie and Laura ended up as friends Respect for Alison Arngrim and her fight for the LGBT+ community, especially after her onscreen husband Percival, played by Steve Tracy died of an Aids related illness. His ashes I believe were scattered under the letter D of the Hollywood sign. Alison has been an activist ever since
Yes, and the funny thing is that bows were usually worn with little girls' outfits during the time, not by young women Nellie's age - I think she's meant to be somewhere between 18 or 20 in this episode. But Nellie's bows seemed to be getting bigger and bigger the older she got on the show. And I remember there was one show where Nellie comes back to visit from New York and the costume designers made a complete U-turn and made her look like her own grandma...
I love it how I own all 10 seasons yet still love watching the episodes on You tube! :D haha! "You Love him? You can't love him, He's too short!" lmao! Mrs. Olsen makes me laugh! I love her! :)
Oh my god. i just love the olsons, especally mrs olson. everytime i see her and nels its time for a LMFAO!!! or there to good. God i was laughing so much when harriet said JEWISH!!
One interesting note is that in real life, Alison Arngrim and Steve Tracy became good friends. As a matter of fact, to this day she's an AIDS activist in his memory. Tracy died tragically from complications from AIDS in 1986.
haaaa. I recall that the actor playing Percival died of Aids I think, and Nelly's portrayer was still his close friend. I recall Michael Landon saying he was inspired to hitch the two because of his own parents--his dad a Jewish, short guy married a tall shiksa who was mean.
" Percival ? " BONK ".. What ? " Kill me everytime... They show right away he loves her.... Would rather answer her directly , taking the ball right into his face, than making her wait 🤣❤ Such a sweetheart ❤
Nellie probably had one of the best character transformations during this series. From the girl everybody hated to a loved character. Am I wrong in thinking that they brought in another spoiled brat character to take her mantle?
LMFAO! I really can't wrap my head around the fact that Steve Tracy was pushing 30 when they shot this lol! And here I thought he was Allison Arngrim's age in this one, like he was just a teenager :P To think that we were worried when Melissa Gilbert had her first reel and real kiss with Dean Butler who was 8 years her senior! HAHAHAHAHAHA
Catherine McGregor reaction to the marriage is priceless and when she thought they were a cute couple too she just rejected him for being Jewish lol big time
Why was Chuck making Laura wait until she was 18, but he let Mary get married when she was 16. Remember when she was 13 and was engaged to John Jr? He told her when she was 15 she could get married. Seemed strange is all.
I think it had to do with the fact that Adam's Family was more stable than Almanzo's since they had "More" Money. Also, keep in mind that maybe Chuck wanted Almanzo to save some Money to take proper care of Laura and maybe he didn't want them to struggle the way he and Caroline did over the years.
I think on the show it also had to do with the fact that Pa was a little closer to Laura than to Mary (though he clearly loves both daughters very much) and was reluctant to let his little girl go...He also allowed Mary to become engaged at 14, which was not considered to be too young either at the time considering how young people tended to get married then, but then on the other side it was made clear that they wouldn't get married right away; it was more the commitment that counted. Which that boy didn't take too seriously because he met another girl while away at college.
"Your mother's right. Her side is just fat"......... hahahahaha! well, when spouses get to speak that way without fighting, i guess they know each other quite well. There is love of the very understanding and forgiving kind between them, i guess.
I will never get tired of watching this series. For me it is the best of all time
MONO LOCO same here😊
Indeed, because Nellie just turned to be a lot nicer and more beautiful after that
Una serie splendida, indimenticabile. Ancora e sempre commovente.
Me too❤️
Watching it with my kids right now.
Awww Nellie and percival were adorable.
When the ball hits percival on the head has me rolling every time 😂
The scene Nellie was crying for Percival was so heartbreaking. She truly loved him with all her heart.😭❤Glad they got married they're such a cute couple!
I found it funny at the same time, the way she was crying and saying "I don't want a tall man."
He turned her into a human being. And for that we ALL love him!
Charity Smith yes loved Percival xxx
Sooo trueeee ❤️
NICOLASBONNET☺😊😀😆😃😂😁💏💑👪👨
Those eggs on Nellie's head!!
He has rehabilitated Nellie's nature and developed her into a wonderful lady. She has grown up more than her mother, whose flaws were hard to overcome.
What is interesting is that the mother and daughter married men of character. History repeats itself.
They’re so cute together. And mrs Oleson is hysterical! Had me in stitches in each and every scene. 😂
i just read about that too. what was cool, is that alison arngrim (nellie oelson) was the only one, on set, that knew steve tracy (percival) was gay. the two became very close, and she became very involved volunteering in AIDS project Los Angeles, after his passing.

1:27 "Your mother's right, her side is just fat." Had me in stitches 😂😂😂
I love how you can hear Mrs. Oleson sobbing throughout the ceremony. Hahaha
Yes, and she later fainted in church when the Reverend announced that Nellie and Percival were expecting and she was about to become a grandmother...
I love that Nellie, stuck up, bratty, nasty Nellie loves Percival, sweet Percival. I mean, c'mon, who would have thought anything like that could happen? But she just melts around him. And they are perfect together, I love them. =)
"YOU CAN'T LOVE HIM, HE'S TOO SHORT !" hahahahahahahahahahah Mrs Oleson is the greatest character of this series. LOVE HER
Nellie: im too tall. Harriet: well its not my fault, blame ur father his side of the family is too tall. Guy: your mothers right her side is just fat.
His name is Nels..
😂
Haha! 😂
"Your mother's right. Her side is just fat."
"HOW DARE YOU?!"

😂😂😂
"Your mother's right. Her side is just fat!" Nels is hilarious. Mrs. Oleson is the funniest character in LHOTP!
Percy and Nellie had a happier marriage than Laura and Almonzo. Laura and her husband were often having incredible arguments. Nellie and Percy didn't see eye to eye on some things but they often resolved their differences peacefully .
It's healthy in a relationship to argue
Paxton Park he was patronizing her though. Yelling at her even when she was pregnant .
@@hugemusiclover1837 Yes but not that healthy when they split up for a while and she went back to her parents .
“Eye to eye” 😁
Only on their early marriage. They live happily ever after tho
Not a soap opera. The show it's based on a series of books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. It's Laura telling the story of her childhood. 😁
Vrai trop chou
I remember how Nellie turned out to be a nicer person after got married
she just needed someone who stood up to her LOL!!!
..It happens in real life to most spoiled women..

Nonsense. The rubbish children write on the internet...

R.I.P. Steve Tracy.
Thank you. I love Little house on the Prairie. I watch it almost every day. And enjoy it
Nellie's wedding bow looks big enough for her to fly away on.
And Mrs. Olsen is BOSS!
Yes, and the funny thing is that bows were usually worn with little girls' outfits during the time, not by young women Nellie's age - I think she's meant to be somewhere between 18 or 20 in this episode. The ending of the show where the little baby boy says I love her and it says to be continued in 15 yrs, but they never did continued the story either.

7:11 I love how Grace is just like: “Frick this, I’m getting some action too!”
C'est une des parties de cette série que j'ai aimé le plus : le couple Nelly / Percival, trop de love et trop chouuu :)
haaaa. I recall that the actor playing Percival died of Aids I think, and Nelly's portrayer was still his close friend. I recall Michael Landon saying he was inspired to hitch the two because of his own parents--his dad a Jewish, short guy married a tall shiksa who was mean.

They r super cute:) when you fall for someone, apperance becomes much less important and it's beautiful:)
STILL WATCHING EVEN THOUGH I AM 46 LIFE IS WONDERFUL
Nellie probably had one of the best character transformations during this series. From the girl everybody hated to a loved character. Am I wrong in thinking that they brought in another spoiled brat character to take her mantle?
No the Olesons adopted Nancy
I always thought she looked like a ‘what ever happened to baby Jane doll’
LMFAO! I really can't wrap my head around the fact that Steve Tracy was pushing 30 when they shot this lol! 9 Jan 2021. Age 50. I love this movie 💖💖💖💖
I REMEMBER THE EPISODE WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER EVENTOUGH MANY YEARS HAD PASSED SINCE THEN. 40 YEARS AGO I GUESS.
Why is no one mentioning him getting smacked in the face by the ball? 🤣
Laura was 17 when she and Manly got married
Actually, she was 18. August 25th 1885.
Je suis très contente d'avoir revu cette séquence !
Nellie is so beautiful...
I remember the first time watching this I was with my mother and we were like : "OMG!!! Is Nellie getting married????????!"
I love little house and Nellie and percival 😂
You can't love him! He's too short!
Ahora entiendo porque tiran el arroz así en las bodas 😂 Jajajaja
They sure are throwing that rice pretty hard😂😂

Harriet has earned an Oscar
So romantic of Percy and Nellie and i love their story
El liston de Nelly jajaja

Oh god mrs Nelson is very funny 😂😂
Ever see the episode when his parents come to visit when nellie gives birth love it
That's the best film. I like it very much👍
Haha!! Poor Harriet!! Lol Hilarious!!
"Your mother's right. Her side is just fat"......... hahahahaha! well, when spouses get to speak that way without fighting, i guess they know each other quite well. There is love of the very understanding and forgiving kind between them, i guess.
@CJCody2006 thanks for sharing--and shows the quality of character she has.
I still remember it as a kid in early 80s greetings from iraq.
Mrs Oleson is great. Yeah. Haha. In the Netherlands it is 8 days a week on tv so I can watch it over and over again. Love the show.
I love almozo and Laura wilder
Alison Arngrim..... was in ‘Love Boat’ brilliant too.
I love my best childhood memories . I like this movie.
💜💜💜💜💜
Awwww love it... 😊
That was a beautiful shot Nels
Where is my Percival?? 😢
