@@user-lt5jq2yu2k by chance do you have ADHD? It's not the same person to person, but i was literally prescribed sugar free redbulls in elementary/middle school. In some cases of ADHD, caffeine serves to settle and focus the mind instead of bouncing off the walls.

Caffeine is a hell of a drug. Drank it everyday for 6-7 years straight, and quite cold turkey about 8 months ago. I had the worst withdrawals I’ve ever had, and I’ve been an addict in the past for over a decade- I tried everything. Nothing compares to caffeine withdrawals!
@@windycityrosin caffeine doesn't really effect me tbh like I feel more tired and more shaky sweety etc, but I don't feel more energetic or anything i haven't had coffee only sips but I have had alot of energy drinks and that shit doesn't phase me at all guess I'm lucky or something

I really appreciate you explaining the dangers of freediving alone before going in. Ive lost friends because of it and there are too many influencers diving alone or diving with a snorkel, not taking precaution on how many people they inspire to get in the water.

i didnt treat my ADD until I was far older than 30. stimulants help to quiet the mind in ADD. that has its pro and cons, just like being scatterbrained or over-driven has it's own pros and cons

However my mind is constantly racing and I am on the go 95% of the time because of this. I struggled with the why until I started watching some of your videos. Is say I'm definitely undiagnosed ADHD. Cardio mate, my best recommendation as someone who's been dealing with the gifts/curses of ADHD all my life, long distance walks/runs in particular. It's absolutely essential for us and allowing our brains to wind down a little bit and relax in those in between times where there's nothing interesting to stimulate us, which as I'm sure you know can be excruciatingly boring if you're "on" at the time. We're in a world not very well suited to our specialties, but that doesn't mean there isn't extreme value in the way that we're wired. We're not fit for a classroom environment but we're certainly not dumb or slow, though we're tarred with that brush often in that environment. We're not well suited to sit down in a cubicle all day, or even engage with a lot of the things that are necessary to function properly in todays world. Unfortunately that's a compromise we must make for our own sanity, we're bound to live a life that entails keeping on top of responsibilities and social custom that doesn't come naturally.
Here's a couple little things that might shed some more light, particularly Russel Barkley's lectures, he really truly gets it. Best of luck to you.

Hey bud ,Alex from Logan Lake, BC Canada I am 34 years old and have ADHD as well it’s crazy how coffee is effecting you as for me it actually helps calm me down . Very cool to see another successful person with ADHD !!! 🎉
yeah I'm the same with coffee, thats why people with ADHD get prescribed amphetamines- you would think it would make them off the rails but it actually calms them down, gives them that baseline of dopamine that everyone else has which means your brain isnt constantly seeking dopamine, and then like magic you can do boring tasks without it feeling like torture. he did mention that he feels he can concentrate better when he was diving, interesting stuff. I reckon the raised heartrate with a little placebo deffo added to his experience of being even more hyper

But yeah, caffeine has also been known to heighten anxiety in people with ADHD which could be more why it makes him struggle with sleeping with it, and it can increase your heart rate completely separate from any energy/relaxing you get from it.
this worked for me and some other coffee addicts, quit coffee maybe 3-5 months, and blend the purest coffee you can, extreme psyke moment

I didn’t drink coffee until I was 40 years old-I couldn’t stand the smell. When my parents made coffee I would run out of the kitchen. One time in my early 20s I was given coffee and took a sip and almost tossed my cookies. Strange how taste changes as we age.
I was like that with beer. As a kid I hated it, in my 20s I enjoyed the. I’m 50 now and I’ve recently moved
onto Guinness Stout, which I couldn’t stand when I was drinking ales in my 20s. Moral of the story, things change, so be open to it…
