- Here's Bill's lively interview with actor Rip Torn. They drink, dine & chat at the famed Broadway restaurant, Joe Allen.
Torn was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his part as Marsh Turner in "Cross Creek" (1984). His work includes the role of Artie the producer on "The Larry Sanders Show," for which he was nominated for six Emmy Awards, winning in 1996. Torn also won an American Comedy Award for Funniest Supporting Male in a Series, and two CableACE Awards for his work on the show, and was nominated for a Satellite Award in 1997 as well.

No matter the craziness, Rip Torn was a true talent!
Rip was a Giant . A true acting legend
This is terrific! Great interview! Rip Torn was a brilliant comedic force on "The Larry Sanders Show."
Thank you
Rip stole every scene he was on..
Delightful! ...and WHAT a mean.. Thanks!
Just watched Summer Rental. Then watched another clip of just them singing The Love Boat theme song lol.
RIP Rip
Legend
My phone says Rip died of Alzheimer’s. This interview is about a year before he died. I think. Based on this performance, I don’t believe it. I have some firsthand experience with this disease my family…Rip was spot on here. If it was Alzheimer’s, it was short and this makes him even more a hero of mine.
Cheers Rip.
Nah this is decades before he died. Probably mid 90s
Rip Torn died in 2019. This interview is from '96 or '97 because the host makes several references to him just winning an Emmy for Larry Sanders Show which ran until '98. Rip still had a couple decades of fun left in him!
The greatest of all time
Steak Tartare!
Germans love this. Rip is of German heritage.
@@squinkque So am I. 😎
@@AlphachadEpicCollector I've never had it myself.
@@squinkque It’s actually pretty good, especially the capers, anchovies and onions mixed in.
Tabasco man!, Like me!
I always confused Rip with Michael Ironside.
Rip Rip!
