I happened to be there when the 10lb 11oz Cornish gilt came out...was a good few years ago now...it was taken on a large hardback of around 4"across, cut in half and flipped 10 yrds out over high slack water. As mentioned, matey hadn't paid club dues & couldn't claim the record.......12lb is a tremendous fish.
Hi Andy Not a member of any club but looking to catch specimen fish and return them alive if possible. I see you mention certified scales How do you go about obtaining these should they be required Thanks in advance for any advice Pete
