I caught my first trophy master angler walleye yesterday drifting minnows along with catching multiple eaters. I casted soft plastics, jigging raps, spoons. and jerkbaits without any results. The water temp was 45 degrees. There's a time for every style of fishing.

why do must walleye fisherman fish at night when you guys are having no problems fishing days?

All lakes are different. Some lakes the night bite is non existent, other lakes night time is consistently the hot bite. Most lakes it's morning/evening bite with some "ok" action in mid day.

It's because walleye do not like the sun and are most active when it is dark

I used to use live bait all the time as a kid, but now I just find it boring. I'd much rather be moving a crankbait through the water trying to mimic something that's alive and getting a fish to bite.
