A lot of the Lingsha pov in this quest can be seen in the past companion quests and readables. Including the fact that Lingsha's master worked with the sanctus medicus and most likely helped create Bailu or a mysterious dragon kid we still haven't been shown. Also Hoolay definitely wasn't lying to feixiao, given his philosophies, as long as feixiao "took" her place as a leader properly, he definitely wouldn't care if she wiped out the borisin
That's the wild thing to me; Hoolay genuinely didn't care if the Borisin were wiped out, as long as Feixiao took his place as leader, which is completely insane. He wanted to preserve the Crimson Moon and the legacy of Duran above all else, and was willing to sacrifice the Borisin if it came to it. This entire questline was superb, and I adored how they tied in so many small moments from earlier companion stories and side stories!! It made it all the more satisfying when everything came together!
When they were planning out how to hunt Hoolay in the first cour, Yanqing was so worried about how their plan could go wrong. Then, Feixiao gave him that lecture about committing to decisions without any regrets. Then, in the last scene, Feixiao finds herself apologizing to Jiaoqiu about compromising him by sending him to the Shackling Prison, seemingly going back on that principle. Such a small thing, but I love how they seemed to tie this together when Jiaoqiu sarcastically remarked on Feixiao's regretful comments, since it was so uncharacteristic of her.
This story was absolutely incredible, that is such a great shout-out for a poignant moment!! Feixiao tries her best to head forward without regret, but she was so scared for Jiaoqiu after realizing the lengths he would go to in order to save her.... I couldn't have asked for a better Xianzhou storyline, they did such a beautiful job wrapping this all together!!
@@yumietsuchinoko Absolutely!! I was thinking about this a little more, and maybe this is too much of a close read, but perhaps part of Feixiao's regret is also in seeding Jiaoqiu's relationship with death. Feixiao and Hoolay both look at violent death as somewhat tied to their identity, and as a means to a greater cause (Hoolay: strengthening the pack / Feixiao: Curing war). Jiaoqiu viewed this as antithetical, until meeting and understanding Feixiao's motivations for fighting-so that others may be saved. And now we saw this in his act of poisoning, as a new means to save others. Similarly, when Hoolay "sniffed" some borisin in Jiaoqiu for sensing his desire for Hoolay's demise, I can't help but think that this is some inheritance from working along Feixiao (ehh, this might just be the shared foxian/borisin bloodline)
A bit of timeline for the Sedition of IL incident because it does get confusing since the full story is scattered in pieces. Baiheng dies in a fight against the Emanator of Abundance Shuhu. Dan Feng wanted to resurrect her friend and at the same time, find a way to help his people by "transforming" other species as Vidhyadara. Yingxing helped with that using flesh of Shuhu and the Ambrosial Arbor. It goes horribly wrong with Baiheng "reincarnating" into a draconic abomination that kills a lot of people including Vidhyadhara people who can't reincarnate anymore. This abomination is slain by JingLiu which causes her to be mara-struck and causes Yingxing to be transformed into Blade. This abomination later becomes Bailu who is then named as the next High Elder by Dan Feng but the ritual failed, so the High Elder power is now splintered into Bailu and Dan Heng. The Vidhyadara are now split since some still want Dan Feng as High Elder while others hate him and want Bailu to be the new High Elder. Dan Heng has memories of him being Dan Feng because his rebirthing was tampered with. Thankfully, Dan Heng is now a sassy boy who plays the straight man to March 7th and the Trailblazer's shenanigans
Man, Star Rail really pulls great voice performances out of guys who are being wrung out physically. Also what the hell, I would’ve skipped this banner but I wanted E2 Moze. I got Robin but only one Moze.
RIGHT?! I am absolutely floored by the performances of this entire cast, they have embodied these characters in such a huge way!! Also, my deepest condolences for only E1 Moze... but I'm so glad that you picked up Robin!! She is an absolute blast, and I hope luck will favor you to get more copies of Moze in the future!
Late to the stream, but I wanted to play it first! Its good that this arc with the borasin ended, but that black screen at the end is worse than having the arc not finishing.
They really did leave us hanging there!! I want more of the story so badly.... I'm still so glad with how everything turned out despite that, and man I can't wait for more main story to drop!
