AS A CHILD 50 YEARS AGO THAT PARK WAS MY PLAYGROUND SO GLAD i COULD SEE IT AGAIN NOT MUCH HAVE CHANGED EXCEPT THAT THE ABUSIONS ECT HAS BEEN MODRNISEDTHANK YOU FOR THIS WALK DOWN MEMORY LANE I LEARNT TO SWIM IN Davies pool
Hi Engela Apologies for the laet response, we get so many comments it's hard to keep track. Did you end up going to Onrus and how did you find site 114?
Ahve never been able to understand how a piece of land that forms part of public owned facility, built on public land with public funds can be privatly owned.
Hi Pat Unfortunately I’m not aware of any companies providing rentals. Maybe you can call the park to find out if they know of someone or of a permanent campsite that is set up for rental. There are a few permanent ones there
We went there for my birthday in May and we got robbed. (Everything on personal camera). The weekend was ruined as we had the police coming in taking finger prints etc. It wasn't the only event that night. Others got robbed. The manager asked us not to share it on social media (last year August we had the same problem for my husband's birthday with more than R1000 in value stolen and I let a review on Google that affected them apparently). I feel it isn't ok to let people think it is safe when the 2 times we went there we got robbed. (No violence thanks Lord). Otherwise very nice and clean place. The security issue is really a downfall though.
Over the years I've never heard of anything violent. Camp is fenced and gates locked at night and there are security patrols. But this SA after all, thieves can scale fences or hide inside before gate closing so lock away expensive items.

Hi Andre, I'm glad it was helpful! :)
Just a correction...there is NO beach at sites where 191 etc is. Is just a public road to a small parking area.
Thank you for the update Darrell, much appreciated
Job well done !
Thank you Danny, glad you enjoyed the videos. Stay tuned for more as we review and post them :)
Plot 16..any pics please
Another bonus of the non electricity point sites they are cheaper and you do not pay the electricity usage fee. So few hundred rand saving a day
Absolutely. If you have solar those sites are in my view always, cheaper and less crowded.
Any comments on plot 114? I completely forgot Easter weekend is during the March holiday, so we don't have a lot of options.....

We’re not sure either. As long as we can enjoy the camp :)
Is there any caravans to rent in Desember

Plot 6 ot 8?
They are both sea facing so basically identical and you can go with either one
Have there been any security issues recently?
Hi Samuel
Not that I am aware of. The entire site is fenced and there is 24hr access control at the gate
@@AfricanCampsiteReviews thanks

Site nr 225? Any comments?
225 is located against the road leading to the beach so can be very busy with traffic passing by constantly during the holidays
