Glad I finally got around to this awesome mix of turboprops! Loved the prop vortices and pretty much nose down takeoff of the DHC-5. Though, the KingAir is truly the king of turboprops in my opinion. They are all pretty great aircraft! Well done!
Thanks so much, I;m really glad you enjoyed the video! The DHC-5 is definitely my favorite aircraft to see at CZNL, it just looks so massive at the small airport. Gotta love the King Air's as well though :-) Thanks again!
+Moose6340 It sure is unique, it's the only aircraft I've ever seen as well that takes off in that way. Always impressive to see. Thanks very much for watching!
25 minutes of turboprop sounds = AMAZING! Phenomenal video as always, and huge congratulations on 5K and 2.5M views! Wait... 2.5 MILLION VIEWS?! That's insane O.o Looking forward to more excellent footage to come in 2015, liked :)
Congratulations on reaching these two milestones ... what an awesome achievement! Great special video, truly amazing turboprop action! A big thumbs up!
Wonderful compiled prop planes.Especially like the Buffalo and your water takeoffs. Great to reach these milestones mate. Congrats and I wish you a successful 2015. :-)
Superb compilation video....Many congratulations on your two massive milestones !! Keep up the good work...I have a feeling you will !! All the best to you and your Family this Christmas....Best wishes.....Steve.
Congrats on the milestones! Amazing prop action .. 2.5 million views is a major accomplishment! 5K subs amazing bud .. I'll reach that in 20 years ahahaha. Don't know how you guys do it! Keep up the amazing HD videos .. Cheers bro
+johnabuick Close, that was one of their Beechcraft 1900C's. I still haven't gotten around to flying with Pacific Coastal, I always go with Jazz out of Castelgar instead. I'd like to try them out some day though.
***** In the winter Cancelgar is socked in a lot but Waneta seems to be a little more open. Pacific Coastal has some very reasonable prices plus there is no security BS to go through. It's really handy if you and to go to Nanaimo since you can just walk across the road and take a seaplane to downtown Naniamo which is also very reasonably priced. Way cheaper than Jazz and except for driving to Trail and way more convenient.
***** Can you explain the reason why a turboprop engine has the turbines at the front of the engine? I always assumed they were setup like a Turbofan engine with a gearbox and propeller instead of a fan.
Frank White a turboprop engine is a jet engine (turbine) that turns a propeller instead of turning a fan and much of the thrust/gas produced by the engine is used to turn the shaft which turns the propeller. Only a little bit if thrust goes through thr exhaust. Thats why when a turbprop aircraft flies by you hear the prop sound and then the jet sound (the exhaust)
@1:29 the CL-215 taking off is pure heaven.
The old Buffalo was always one of my favourites to see, I definitely miss seeing them around.
It was so good to see that Convair
Love the classics, that one was awesome to see.
Thank you very much, also for not covering nice turbo-sound with inappropriate music.
+Alphons Vorderwühlbecke Thanks a lot for watching, I'd never want to cover these great turboprop sounds with music :-)
So true it's like adding a little bit of fingerprinting on a Mona Lisa
Great work beautiful footage! Congrats again to your 5000subs!! You earn each of them!
extreme crashastic vid liked
Thanks so much!

Gotta love those prop tip vortices from the Buffalo ❤️

Turboprops are better sounding than ANY music!
I couldn’t agree more.
That Commander sure is beautiful!! I'm hoping to start my own business soon and get a Commander! Thanks for the great footage!
+ryan moeller I totally agree, the Commander really is a beauty. Good luck with the business, I bet the Commander would be a fun aircraft to fly.
Amazing Turboprop compilation mate, lovely engine sound !!! Well done !

Thank you bro those sounds make me relax😊
Glad to hear that, I love the sound of some turboprop action as well!
I love all the sounds in this video
Nothing beats some turboprop action!
That Buffalo takeoff...never seen an airplane lift the main gear BEFORE the nosegear before! Great video!
+Moose6340 It sure is unique, it's the only aircraft I've ever seen as well that takes off in that way. Always impressive to see. Thanks very much for watching!
B52 is similar. No rotation, just lifts off.
Soo many beautiful Turboprops, really like them! Excellent compilation, mate. Nicely put together, very enjoyable. Big like! :)

Same here, they’re always so fun to see and fly on!
@@TheHDAviation almost done with my CPL and after that i prefer to work with turboprops instead of jets. Am i crazy ?🤣

Love that sound!
1:35 "sheise" looks the propellers is a live action wind tunnel.
+David Rojas Ya, it produced a pretty neat effect on that takeoff!
+David Rojas It's what happens when the tip of the blades break the sound barrier.
@@sputtnikk11 It happens from the wingtips of planes also so bot necessarily. By planes I mean non-ultrasonic as well
Demais fantástico!! parabéns pelo maravilhoso vídeo
Thanks a lot Igor!
One of the best vids of youtube, i always watch it, lol !!!

1:37 First ever for me. No rotate.
I'm always impressed at how the Buffalo just lifts off the ground!
Love the video!
@XLRS_Aviation
Thanks a lot!
Is it true the Swearingen (c-gskc) in 12:35 has crashed?
+Kim S. Sadly it is true. It crashed back in April taking the lives of both pilots.
Have you also noticed that some of the take-offs took place without the slightest flap-setting? Is that normal procedure on small turbos?
Most turboprops are powerful and light enough to be able to get off with little to no flaps.
The second plane was a Pacific Coastal Saab landing in Trail, BC. I've been on that one a few times, hahaha.
+johnabuick Close, that was one of their Beechcraft 1900C's. I still haven't gotten around to flying with Pacific Coastal, I always go with Jazz out of Castelgar instead. I'd like to try them out some day though.

johnabuick That really sounds nice compared to Castelgar. I'll definitely give them a try the next time I have to take a trip to the coast.

Check out their website and the different levels of ticketing available.
1:16 is that the spiraling slipstream?
Yup, it is. Really cool effect to see!
At 12:35, this plane was destroyed in a crash that killed 2 people. Scary stuff.
That's correct, very sad.
Love the one at 4:05. What is it?
I like that one as well. That's the Pilatus PC-12.
Turboprops are nice but to me I itll never have that brutal raw sound of a piston
what type of plane at 13 10?
+lorne carter That's a Swearingen SA226-TC Metro II
thanks
+lorne carter that is an interesting looking aircraft
+Julio “angelito584” F I think it's cargo to me some Fairchild's do that
Its the Metroliner
Really like that pontoon plane @7:47
+Julio “angelito584” F I really like that one as well. I'd love to have the opportunity to fly on a Twin Otter some day. Thanks for watching!

Symphony for my ears
just a wild guess, is this kamloops?
+leif von Dehn Nope, but you're close! The clips are from Kelowna, Vancouver, Castelgar, Nelson, and one from Spokane.
so close
+TheHDAviation I love that video I've always wanted to see planes in Kelowna! keep up the good work!
leif von Dehn Thanks! The Kelowna Airport is pretty nice for spotting planes, it has a few nice location.
+TheHDAviation yea no Problem its better than Vancouver.
12:35 looks like a mini Tu-95 twin engine.
+David Rojas It kinda does it's a Fairchild Swearingen Metroliner
@@rysho1 Sadly that plane was involved in a fatal crash
first plane beechcraft king air ?
Yup, it's a King Air 350.
5:31
Would be nice if you could add the name of the airplanes. That'll make it more worth while. Thanks
They're all in the description of the video. Thanks for watching!
1:39 whats with the nose down takeoff
that aircraft's design is such that the flaps settings creates a natural nose down moment.
Wow
Anyone else notice that left engine pop on takeoff?
delicious
Does anyone else get a little nervous watching the guys at 9:19, or is it just me?
It does look like he's pretty close to the prop from this angle 😵
