Chocolate Frosting Recipe:
1 stick - butter
1/3 cup shortening
3 to 3 1/2 cups - powdered sugar (3 1/2 if you like sweeter)
1/4 cup milk (or to your desired consistency for spreadability)
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond extract (optional)
1/4 tsp salt (a pinch more if you’d like to cut out a bit more sweetness)

All this time I didn’t realize imitation almond extract was available. I have a family member allergic to tree nuts.

Hi Shannel! Yes, it would still be delicious, buuut I’m very familiar with nut allergies- you may not be able to see the bottle really good but it is McCormick “imitation” almond extract which is all we ever use in this house, and we looove it! (I purchased it from Amazon) 🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💗
