It is great to be able to watch your videos again. I hope you had a restful vacation. I bought your hydrangea kit on Etsy but have not started on it yet. What I did do, is take hydrangea flowers from my garden and press them into porcelain. I used a round cutter and put hole in top to make pendants. They have just been bisque fired. Now I will use pale blue, pink, clear glazes and add in a bit of glass frit I will “steal” from my hydrangea kit. Will send pictures when finished. I will make the pale pastel glazes using celadon glazes and mixing clear to make them light. I give my pottery to a thrift shop in Gaffney, SC. They benefit women who have been abused, battered, trafficked, homeless etc. they have a beautiful home for them. I also make things with mushrooms as these pieces sell very well for them. I hope you continue to do well and keep up your good work! I love your videos. Thanks for teaching me!
What a fab watch Sarah, missed you! Currently in Canada on Vacation and could not resist taking time out to watch. Fab pieces and would love to see George's finished piece after he adds the black if that's possible. Hope you're enjoying your summer, speak soon! Jeanette Far Forest Ceramics
Hi Sarah -such a good hoard of work and so interesting to see the variety of talent. I’m soooo happily with my latest sphere and haven’t the heart to put it in the garden! Enjoy your holiday and look forward to Autumn term 😍😍😍
So nice to see you back in your studio. Missed you. Love George’s lidded jar and the goose-necked pot. I am working hard to get ready for Art in the Park in Loveland.
Thanks Michele. We're getting mixed results with Amber Ash. I might try it at bisque temperature but then not fully functional as not fully vitrified. I think application was a factor here. Suspect it pinholes due to lack of glaze thickness. It's certainly an interesting one. 🤔 😊
It’s funny, after I saw your Amber ash bowl,I bought it! What do you fire to, I got a pinhole nightmare but I can see that it wants to be beautiful like yours lol
Hiya - Amber Ash can be temperamental! I fire my Glaze up to 1212 degrees centigrade and Amber Ash is an Elements Glaze only supposed to fire to earthenware temperature 🫣. It does pinhole sometimes and not others. I put mine on pretty thick but not sure Cathy did on this piece in the kiln. Watch it though it runs!! Send me a pic for a shout out when you've used it. Cheers 😁
Hi, I just discovered you today (and Jane Scott thanks to you), and just learning so much! I've been doing pottery for a couple months now, and loving it, especially the kiln openings!!! Previously I was creating and selling earrings made out of polymer clay and I'm pretty sure I'm not going back to that clay again. Too many options with ceramic clay, so much to learn. Anyhow just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your invaluable information as well as great personality, and that I just followed you on Instagram too, so if you get something from LilyandLuCo you'll know its me. Can't wait for the next kiln reveal!
Hello and thanks so much for your lovely message. I'm so pleased you're finding my content useful. There's another kiln opening coming very soon! Thanks for watching 😊

Hi Carolyn and great to hear from you again. Hope you have a successful show. Always takes an age to get the work together. 😊
George….incredible love it
Yep - it's a great piece. Really interesting putting the calligraphy on it. See you in a week or two for throwing fun! 😍
Nice kiln opening😍👍🏼thanks!!
Thanks for tuning in again Helena 😊
Wow Caroline love your piece x
It's another lovely Carolyn sphere. 😍
I am so excited to see others using the Elements glazes at midfire. I have the amber ash glaze and I hope it doesn’t pinhole like that

Hi pottery sis, great to see you again! Loving those spheres. Are they going to be a totem? Love from Bonaire. 😘
