  • The Department of Higher Education, Science and Innovation says it is making strides in tackling youth unemployment and scarce skills in the country.
The department is hosting a three-day WorldSkills South Africa national competition in Durban where young people from different parts of the country will compete in over 20 artisan skill categories.
These skills are offered at various TVET colleges.
Winners will represent the country at the international WorldSkills competition in France in September this year.
