I used a planner at work from 1980 on. Then I became a full-time caregiver for my disabled husband. After getting some help, year's later, I volunteered (on boards & acounting mostly). Then Covid & my neighborhood had to move out for a new warehouse. Got my husband into a great senior apartment, and I moved in with my son 95 miles away. Without a lot to do, I got depressed. Now I am using 2 planners, one 2pg daily and a bigger vertical weekly. Still an uphill climb, but at 70 my son thinks I just need to take more naps. Now I am trying to finish writing a genealogy book on my husband's family. Sometimes I still feel like a balloon bobbing around with the wind.

I *love* that you called it a “life season.” I get into such an all-or-nothing headspace and feel like I’m failing if I can’t maintain the consistency I want. Life seasons is a beautiful way of framing it!

I loved this! I had never thought of planning this way. It was refreshing to also hear the grace that is needed when going though big life changes and how that can effect you doing planning. There are a lot of things I want to accomplish but there are also going to be 3-4 major life changes in the next 6 months that will take place for me that I was thinking I’d want to start a planner for. Now I have the thought to give myself a lot of grace through this time if I don’t. I’m a perfectionist type person so grace will be needed more than ever in this new season.

Hi flower! I love all your wise advice, you are on point with every video! I was seeking your advice, and was wondering how many journals should I have in active use? Examples of journals being a planner, business ideas, affirmations/manifesting, a journal to track all your thoughts, a to do, note taking etc... I have a difficult time keeping myself organized with my thoughts everywhere.

Planning styles are so to the individual, aren't they? Your recommendations are so helpful! I found a horizontal layout was better for me because I integrate an electronic calendar for work into my day, and track my work projects in a different location to make them more portable. Your note about this being a life system is really an important statement. I found I had to use a few as trial and error which also helps.

I love watching your videos. I’ve binged watched your Most current. This is where I get stuck… I’m a nurse and my days total at least 14 hours and sometimes more three times a week. I went to a day shift recently so that helps to not have a sucky life and bring a waste of a mother and wife on my time off. I’m struggling with not having a set schedule. I wish I could make that work, but until then, my schedule is in the hands of a person who I’ve never met. I want to be successful like you, but I’m 50 years old and trying to learn new tricks. Should I try to schedule my days off like you do on your work days creating morning routines, afternoon and night? Or should I do hourly? I’m so tired after long shifts but I want to be a help meet at home. I’m struggling. Because of you I’ve been making my scripture time my first priority of my days. However because of snow falling I’ve had to skip them to leave for work an hour and 15 minutes before shift. I’m feeling terrible about that. What suggestions do you have. I tried listening to scripture online but the recent blizzard drive had me praying instead. Please help.

But I'm still going to listen to her videos but still try to look for the video that you are talking about and see how can I add it within my plan as well.
After that I think i'm okay but we all make mistakes like she said when she was a beginner.

Hi Alaina! I am someone who is going through a life change, but would like/need to start a planner. I recently had my first child (she’s 5 months now), I own my own business, I work a 9-5 job thats far from my house, and I am very active with my church. I REALLY need to plan and I know I need to give myself grace but it’s very important that I stay on track. I need some help with doing that so I plan on joining your 1-on-1 course and watching your videos! So thank you in advance for sharing your knowledge on this topic. It’s SO NEEDED!!

Growing up in the latter half of the 2000s, I was in a cohort that never experienced delayed gratification. Now I'm relearning and completely reorienting how I approach goals.
This video is super helpful, as I am enjoying the thought of having something tangible to remind me of my responsibilities and appointments.
Are there any masculine planners you can recommend? (Hate to play into gender stereotypes 😅) Any tips for someone who has had trouble keeping organized?

Are you familiar with a product called Accu Lines? The product has been around for decades and it is a thin sheet of plastic that when placed under a sheet of paper, it lets you draw absolutely straight lines, owing to the surface of the sheet. Perfect boxes without straight edges and rulers. Just put pen to paper and draw perfect lines and boxes.
Good video, by the way. It seems lots of folks are returning to paper. I know fountain pens are growing in popularity and if UA-cam is a guide, there are huge numbers of planner pages being sold. Not to mention, the huge variety of leather planners being sold.
