    Fala, Marcelo!

Hello Marcelo! Those two phrasal verbs were one of the first phrasal verbs I've learnt when I started studying English.
    Very nice!

We can also use Pick Up in the place of Choose.
Eg: The book I picked up to read this month was Bright Side.

By the way, Marcelo, I was going to say to your question 6:54
You can't 'drop off' the remote control into your hand, because, in this context, 'drop off' is to 'take something or someone somewhere else, leave them there and return/continue elsewhere'.
..before you interrupted me and I lost my train of thought 🤪

    Pegar algo fisicamente:
Exemplo 1: Can you pick up that book for me? (Você pode pegar aquele livro para mim?)
Exemplo 2: I need to pick up my dry cleaning after work.
Exemplo: He quickly picked up the basics of the new software. (Ele rapidamente aprendeu o básico do novo software.)
Exemplo 1: Can you pick me up at the airport? (Você pode me buscar no aeroporto?)
Exemplo 2: I'll pick up the kids from school at 3 PM.
Exemplo: He tried to pick up the girl at the bar by offering to buy her a drink.
Exemplo: The economy is starting to pick up after a period of decline.
Exemplo: You can pick up a map at the information desk.

    Hello Marcelo , how's it going ?
Just a tip for you my friend :
You pick up someone FROM somewhere .
    I really enjoy your videos.
    Thanks a ton .

    'Pick up FROM'
    'Drop off AT'
'Pick up at' gives 'pick up' a different meaning.

Can i say i leave my son at the school?

    • @emanoelpaulino1935
      @emanoelpaulino1935 Рік тому +1

You can say that , but you also can use that coolest way

    • @kelly.teacherkelly
      @kelly.teacherkelly Рік тому +3

Grammatically, you can say: 'I leave my son at school' or 'I left my son at school'.
However, I don't think that's quite what you mean.
Instead, I would say: 'I took my son to school' or 'I dropped my son at school'.

Yes indeed you did but he wasn't paying attention that's why I pointed it out to him, I am myself an English learner and I like watching Marcelo's videos, I learn from them especially when the tutors correct his mistakes and suggest a better way to say something - by the way, I like your Australian accent. 🙂
