Ive been bangin on about Wheatley for what feels like years now and almost got ridiculed for it believe it or not.. Dan Gore, Iqbal, Hansen Aaron and recently it's been Amass have all been praised by the fanbase but yet in my eyes Weathley always stood out to me as the 1 who not only had the raw talent to make it but also had the frame to fill-out to be able to make that transition into the first team at this club.
I hope he does aswell, he developed so, so much last season he almost started to look like a different player entirely. He's become clinical as oppose to sloppy or wasteful Infront of goal, his link up play has improved and he almost looks to have an extra second or two on the ball everytime he gets it now and that's the sign of a good player or atleast a player playing 1 or 2 levels above the rest of the kids on the pitch.
Also, am I the only one who would love to see a return for Angel Gomes now in 2024? Great to see his career trajectory since leaving the club, it was hard to believe a player that talented would never make the jump up to the highest level. Him and Kobbie alongside a Bruno and/or João Neves sounds like footballing heaven to me.
Thanks for this. I feel getting the player development pathway right will be the way to make multi club networks effective. Get it right & the club will have a batch of home grown talents that can get to 1st team.
It will avoid trash loans where manager changes destroy the value. Just need to ensure the fans of the other clubs don't feel like part of a US farm system.
At this stage of our team he can't deliver, but in possessional and positional style playing teams like City or Arsenal even Brighton, he can deliver though at a low pace but grows like Evan Ferguson.
Our style is very intense running all the time their he can't deliver due to his lack of that intensiveness. But as United is charging to position and possession football team he will play and score

Wheatley is an all round striker like Kane but with pace and not a traditional no.9. However, at the moment, united need an experienced striker, similar to Kane, like Zirkzee from bologna, who's 23. Hojlund is still raw but has potential.
There's no doubt that wheatley is talented but he'll have to settle for 3rd choice striker for 2-3 seasons before he can compete for 1st choice.
I tell you this. If United believe in these two and provide them with players who play like the academy, Ethan will breaking records. Since the days of Welbeck United have not had a typical centre forward from the academy. Just believe in the academy players. Harrison, Amass, Jack Fletcher, Louis Jackson and Ruby Curly.
Invest in the defence and midfield and bring Greenwood back

Regarding academy players though, I hope to see Wheatley, Dan gore, fletcher, oyedele, forson, amass and vitek be given game time next season with the senior team. They can be the squad depth we need.

I think the movement of most of our senior players have been poor. The kid needs a stable system to thrive in. He has to get to know his teammates.
Yeah I also said this but people started calling me a hater or something, I remember him coming on at 88 minute and started walking till Bruno told him to press which was poor from a kid who wants to take the chance to show what he is capable of, I was never annoyed by a teenager before and he already gave off Rashford attitude when he is a nobody, imagine when he becomes 25 and plays every game?

@@jhonma5122are you a mug. Wheatley wouldn’t do that give it a rest, Hojilund made that goal by himself and not many strikers would do that because they don’t have the pace with power to do it. Have to be strong to shrug of a defender and a good weak foot to make sure that shot goes in.

We also didn’t play well with mctominay up front idk what ur on about we lacked any clinical edge with him there. And when we put crosses into the box mctominay did nothing with them, if only Utd players put crosses into the box when hojlund is there…
