when i was young and my brother and i were doing dinner dishes i would fill a particular sauce pan with a certain amount of water and play beats on the side of it with a wooden spoon (or something like that)... it was hilarious liquid weirdo grooves (and it was of course obligatory to make weird faces as i performed)... only Tipper could create the music i was imagining
You can actually recreate this sound for yourself pretty easily as long as you have a mason jar. Fill one up about 1/3 to 1/2 way full, close it and tap on the lid while tilting the jar at different angles for different sounds. You wanna aim for about halfway between the center and the edge of the lid when tapping as well to achieve a nice full sound.

The sound at the beginning sounds like it was made from sample the sound of hitting the side of a full metal water bottle
Apparently it’s tablas mixed with slapping mason jars mixed with a percussion synth patch of some kind.
