Cape Verde mess up yesterday what can of penalty was that 3 persons play a penalty in D some place. You calk that a save .let the goalkeeper meet with good penalty taker he will not save anyone
The last guy gave up too much, it was too obvious where he was targeting and the keeper already knew too.
The keeper was simply using psychological prowess to know where the players are targeting

The kicks are bad, there are 2 types of takers. Those who wait until the keeper moves and those who place their shots in one direction, his with precision and power. Only one taker from cape Verde followed any of the 2 methods. The keeper dived in the correct direction but the ball was hit with power above mid range height. We were taught to pick the 4 corners of the 🥅, and never hit into the central areas EXCEPT you had the confidence to wait for the keeper to pick his movement, when you spot that you place the ball in the opposite direction. It's tricky.
Some keepers wait till the ball moves, others jump at full stretch in one chosen direction. That's where the scouting of the opponent comes in.
