Thank so much! This is one of the best presentation and illustration on how a Y-Plan system operates. Keep up the good work my friend. No pun intended but there are 000's of installers who do not fully understand how the Y-Plan or for that matter even the S-Plan system functions. They simply connect wires to the terminal blocks.
Great explanation David. I've watched every single video you've made and have gained a wealth of knowledge, great videos for any up and coming apprentice sparks, so clear and concise. Many thanks for taking the time to make them, much appreciated
Fantastic one David! Thank you! May I kindly request a video on how to interpret electrical drawings please? I just struggle to comprehend most of the time- especially when I’m on a construction site. Just feel lost to be honest! Your help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers again.
Hi - any idea why there would be a link between the L and 1 ( Com) on my programmer - or put another way would it cause any harm if I copied this when replace a Centaur TC1 with a hive dual channel programmer? Thanks.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions. Sometimes copying wire for wire can lead to problems. Identify what the wires are on the old programmer and then compare to the new programmer. Dave.
My heat only boiler only has 3 core cable dangling down from it. Baxi said you can't wire inside the boiler. Also the pump wires need to be joined at wiring center. Can you advise haw to feed boiler from wiring center?
Refer to the manufacturer's specific instructions. They will have a wiring diagram on the website that you can compare to what you have, which numbers in the wiring centre relate to your exact boiler.
Excellent video, very explanatory, thank you!
Glad it was helpful, thanks.

Great job - One mistake I think at 10:48 where you say the "Pump sends 240v down the orange wire" where it surely is that the 'Valve sends 240v'?
There's no catching you out Trevor. Well spotted, I'll correct that typo, or is it a wordo? Thanks for the support. Dave.
👌😎👍👍👍
Thank you Martin, appreciated.
Thats very complicated compared to S-Plan
Oh yes. Hope the video helped. Dave.
