- Cellist Harriet Krijgh & Friends performed Dvořák’s wonderful ‘String Sextet’ during the Utrecht International Chamber Music Festival 2018. Amongst two other musical fairytales by Chezch composers played that evening, the ‘Sextet’ by Dvořák is a staple folktale in the Bohemian musical history.

Simone Lamsma [violin]
Candida Thompson [violin]

Dvorak finds easily his way through the dense writing of the string sextet and offers us a very convincing score, perfectly in his style.
:-) My education continues... thank you !
Beautiful.
Thank u Dvořák :-D
Beautiful music and beautiful ladies playing it is definitely a winning combination.
Thank you ladies...
Tank you very much so great quartets, merci beaucoup !
Beautiful playing!
absolutely wonderful

Sorry, but the second cellist is not Victor Julien-Laferrière. A lady plays.
First cello is Julia Hagen and second cello is Harriet Krijgh.
Thanks.
Oops, our mistake, we'll fix it right away!
@@AVROTROSKlassiek Also, I believe you have the two violinists backwards. I believe Simone Lamsma is playing second violin in this piece, and Candida Thompsonis playing first, based on what I've seen on other videos here.
Why is this camera-work barely showing the beautiful player on first violin? How odd. What a wonderful performance!
I am led to believe she had escaped from prison to perform in the concert after being caught and convicted for a bank robbery In los Angeles and the cameramen agreed not to show her face too much . The were all later caught smuggling Hashish in their music cases into Iceland the cello cases contained more drugs do they got longer sentences .
Fine performance, but I cannot watch the performers, as there is too much swaying back and forth - I find it distracting. So, I'll just listen to audio instead.
They are like autumn trees, the music is like wind waving the trees.
@SaxyDan54 Oh come off it SaxyDan! Your "cornfield in a hurricane" comment is patronizing and demeaning to these fabulous musicians!...The music is fantastic and the performers are consummate artists. Their communication as a group is stunning to watch and the range of emotions and nuance is exemplary... Just sayin'
