So I grew up with SpongeBob and was a HUGE fan of it back then, but a few years back I fell into heroin addiction, so I really appreciate the hooky episode for existing, it teaches a valuable lesson in a fun way. Also, there’s one thing you didn’t notice, when SpongeBob and Patrick get hooked and get lured upwards, they are quite literally getting high and/or lured in by the hook. I thought that was a really cool touch. and then when the hook goes with him everywhere he goes, kinda reminds me of when I was at my worst and how I felt tied down to my dealers, cause I couldn’t stray too far away from them at any time, but I also felt attached to heroin emotionally and physically due to withdrawal symptoms, so him having to drag around that hook with him everywhere he goes, is a perfect parallel to my own situation. Masterful writing for a simple kids show.❤
