- RIP the straight pipe. In the previous episodes, we cut off my old muffler which was damaged on my catback exhaust, and replaced it with a MASSIVE 4" muffler delete tip. But... it was crazy loud. So, in todays video we add a Vibrant resonator to tone down the exhaust a bit so its daily drivable LOL. Do you prefer the new sound or the old straight pipe!?

Yeah working on a custom exhaust has its headaches especially to get it to sound the way you want it to. But I will say the raspy noise from the video before is gone and it actually sounds pretty tamed! Yeah on my jackson racing supercharger I actually clamped those lines so it would not come lose when you start pushing it. Loving the videos Chris! Keep at it! :D

Oh yeah my Solara has a Vibrant Resonator with a Spintech Muffler and it is, in my opinion, the perfect setup for my daily! That is great that it worked out for you the FRS sounds really good!!

@@chris_borges tomei catless headers, catless up pipe, catless downpipe to a invidia race exhaust. So basically straight pipe with a muffler haha. This is my sign to get a resonator.

Sounds good either way but sounds better without the resonator because it’s louder and it has the raspy sound and that’s what I love. Raspy sounds always sounds good on BRZ’s, FRS’s, GR86 and GT86

Tbh the straight pipe sounded horrible! Bare minimum a car needs atleast one form of sound restriction. I tried a full straight pipe on my GTI and I hated it 😄 within a few day I stuck my resonator back in.
