So, Matt Grobert doesn't have a monopoly on 6/0 Olive Danville?
I am gonna tie a ton of this in a slate drake pattern!
Can you do a tying video for the film critique fly?
Hackle Stacker patterns are my go-to dryfly style, I tie with a longer than standard hackle and use a splayed tail most of the time. Find that the fish seem to prefer to low sitting dryfly over a high riding one - my theory is that the low fly makes a more noticeable impression and appears to be injured or trapped in the film therefore being easier to capture. High confidence dryfly for me, will use it unless water turbulence dictates a Wulff or bivisable. Thanks for the video!
Love the fly. I heard you mention seining a river on another video or podcast. Could you tell us how you like to seine and what screen you use for the seine? I'd love to learn to do this and see the natural insects in my rivers.
Bob Quigley was my first fly teacher. RIP ❤❤❤
can you split the tail
