We had a 500 bushel dryer like that about 50 years ago in the USA and it worked great. Identical but they were brand name of Toxowick grain dryers. One concern in the shed it will condense on the roof and drip everywhere in the shed and may rust your roof and frame of the shed and drip on the dry grain Phil. Thank you for another great video and sharing your life with us and I am in Minnesota USA..
Phil I think the Massey Trailer is the same as the blue one in Background? Marston, I think? Freeze at 11:30 and you can see the same fishplate on the side of the chassis frame.
Last Farm I worked at late 70s got 1 of those dryers good bit of kit but grain got burnt a couple of times when an internal chain would break in the bottom which stopped the grain circulating before it went up the auger. Probably improved since then but don't leave it unattended to long and keen sense of smell for burning grain is your early warning. 👍
I see the Triffitt trailer was originally from Northfield Agricultural Services who sold quite a lot these over the years just next door to us in East Yorkshire. We had 3 ourselves.
Nice drier had one 30 years ago. The auger filling the drier is slow to fill. We took it off and just a 6 inch portable auger to fill it ,much faster and could set it up to fill in a more suitable place and make it more efficient
Hope your new purchases work well for you this year, Douglas has some very tidy machinery, have dealt with him before. You picked the trailer up at the Spar shop on the Glen road, not exactly my neck of the woods but I know it.
bloody good trailers those triffits, built not far from were i live and has a local to me dealer sticker on it "Northfield" were i worked many years ago
Well done and deserved ye will need some size of a machinery shed 2 cope with all yer gear alot coming not much leaving r being traded in,well wear on all yer stuff
Does father Phil see into the future, because this was the year to buy a grain dryer, especially when you did because I bet over the last month they have gone up in price a lot
Goodman phil, father phil thinking ahead, great team work there to get the dryer off and in the shed, be good too see the setup working, good purchase on the trailers, be great for grain and beet etc going forward, yee always seem to have laugh doing things, keep videos coming
AHHHH i see whats going on...... Now there is an excellent excuse for more tractors....😂😉.. I will be keeping an eye on the dryer work as we have thought about getting a small mobile dryer for some time.. gas or deisel fired is still up for debate though... . Stay safe 🏴
Nice looking trailers should be able to move the grain a bit better, hope they can fit into the shed when lifted.. The hydraulic rear gates are great. used to borrow a neighbors one back in the 90's when they were few and far between and it made drawing silage and grain so must easier, used it for dung as well and much quicker. i know its a bit late now but would it not have been easier to pull the 2 trailers together? most trailers have a hitch nowadays.
@@FARMERPHIL3690 thats pity, might be something worth looking at for when you have the 2 combines going as you may end up with just 1 or 2 tractors drawing and 3 trailers depending on what else has to get done that day.
Will there be a new telehandler in the mix soon phil.?? The old jcb bumble bee is looking tiered & a little to small but still worth her weight around the farm

Never regret buying something that makes life that little bit easier. Ware well with your new purchase
Get your dad to give you the lottery ticket numbers. Brilliant idea on the grain dry are the way the Weathers going.
The massey trailer is a root trailer
Can’t wait to see your bro and Father Phil side-by-side runing the combines!
Well ware Phil,I hope you get the weather now for the harvest. Great purchases and I hope they serve you very well. 🍀
You’ll need a wee hopper to place over the grain intake. Speeds things up immeasurably
Phil I think the Massey Trailer is the same as the blue one in Background? Marston, I think? Freeze at 11:30 and you can see the same fishplate on the side of the chassis frame.
A trio of good investments for the farm. They will earn their keep and loose no value. Better than money in the bank.
Dryer looks like another job for the 2725? Or that auld Zetor?
Hell of a job Phil, all tidy gear. Father Phil is the wise old owl when it comes to purchases. Well done and well ware lads.
What about getting extentions for the massey trailer for more capacity?
You may get on to some local fabrication company and get some silage sides and tail door made up for the silage.
Best of luck with all the new purchases for the farm hope they be lucky now 👍👍
Last Farm I worked at late 70s got 1 of those dryers good bit of kit but grain got burnt a couple of times when an internal chain would break in the bottom which stopped the grain circulating before it went up the auger. Probably improved since then but don't leave it unattended to long and keen sense of smell for burning grain is your early warning. 👍
Also we had it set up outside as it generates a lot of steam drying the grain out, also for the dust and tractor fumes driving the pto. 👍
You would have been better to buy a couple of 22ft Broughan trailers with silage sides and they could have be multipurpose
I pulled that triffit trailer behind a TM150 in East Yorkshire during the summer of 2009 on West Farm.
Small world😂
So, Father Phil bought a massive oven for humble pies 🙂 Just kidding, congratz on the purchases, they look like fine additions to the farm
I see the Triffitt trailer was originally from Northfield Agricultural Services who sold quite a lot these over the years just next door to us in East Yorkshire. We had 3 ourselves.
Best of luck with your new equipment live will be easy
Excellent purchasing
I'm sure you have already thought of it but you may be able to contract out the combines/trailers and make some money back.
Well-done all ye hope.all goes good with grain
At least u brought 2 trailers that don't need any working doing to them before using them, lol
With irish weather great idea to increase grain transport, and the fact there red is a bonus 😀
Well the drier wont go to waste you have it and can be used to contract dry grain aswell
Good man Phil . Get the two combines out this year. It’s now you need the two 👍🏻
Ye need that machinery shed quick, father Phil has it full already
Where was father Phil for all the action
Seen that massey trailer leaving Hamilton's yard, there only a couple of miles away from me
Cant wath 2 see that drier working cool thing happing
Well wear on all your new kit.... But why no trailer with Silage sides 🤷🏼♂️
3 new purchases Philip well done
Nice drier had one 30 years ago. The auger filling the drier is slow to fill. We took it off and just a 6 inch portable auger to fill it ,much faster and could set it up to fill in a more suitable place and make it more efficient
All the best with the dryer
Best of luck fair play to you delighted for you
The drier does have a ladder phill save you finding things to climb on phill
Great video, you were right to buy the gear.
Great video Phil the best of luck with all the new gear
Well wear on your new car
very nice trailers, congratulations
Get Fr Phil to build a tipping hopper over the screw feed hopper for that dryer or buy a cheap one off done deal, if there is a cheap one !!!
You could do with a building what could be used as grain and machine if you need to.
That marston needs a nice 8340 or tm in front of it, make a nice change from the ould red…. 😂😂
Your a 100% right, but the Stewart’s won’t do that, it would be easier for you to change the weather!!!😮
😂😂
Nice additions to the fleet Phil.
The new purchase looks great.
Sprung drawbar on the triffitt trailer,it’d be my choice of the two.
Yea the best off luck us will make it work spot on
Should have been to pick them up with the 3690
Hope your new purchases work well for you this year, Douglas has some very tidy machinery, have dealt with him before. You picked the trailer up at the Spar shop on the Glen road, not exactly my neck of the woods but I know it.
Nice buys there bro love the Massey 700
Great purchase well ware , this year and years to come at least you'll have it, good forward thinking to all of the steward family
Great addition ...well called Father phil
bloody good trailers those triffits, built not far from were i live and has a local to me dealer sticker on it "Northfield" were i worked many years ago
Best of luck with the new purchases Philip... the low side trailer will be very handy for the beet...
Good to see Robert on the go looked like he was the boss there just aswell you have plenty tractors to pull trailers
Good stuff
Great purchases Phil. Definitely get the wider wheels on the Massey trailer. Both look good purchases
Fresh gear there Phil, best of luck with them
The massey trailer looks so smart! Good match for the 3690 or maybe a future 6190🤔🤔
Well done and deserved ye will need some size of a machinery shed 2 cope with all yer gear alot coming not much leaving r being traded in,well wear on all yer stuff
Your putting your profits back into the business fair play to you
Well measured. Well done.
Great video Phil.
All the best with it 👍👍👍
You'll need it this year 😅
Does father Phil see into the future, because this was the year to buy a grain dryer, especially when you did because I bet over the last month they have gone up in price a lot
All the best with the dryer and the trailers Phil🌾🌾🌾👍
Them trailers, a great purchase.

Mighty stuff Everybody, well wear, that should make harvest a little easier, all Ye need now is some good weather🤞👍🙏😎
It's all cost
Moral of the story: Father Phil is always right.
Philip it would be very easy leave behind if you hadn't the money for it..
Great video Phil. Great purchases, good luck with them. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼
Comment for the algorithm to help the channel 👍.
Smart trailer.

Smashing looking grain trailer

Unfortunately there was no hitch on either trailer

Are ye still building machinery shed?
Might have stretched a bit too far but will see what’s over when the new yard goes in and the car park is done for the farm shop
Will there be a new telehandler in the mix soon phil.?? The old jcb bumble bee is looking tiered & a little to small but still worth her weight around the farm
Phil brilliant video as always, nice trailers but what's the tonnage?
Massey is 11 and triffit is 13
@FARMERPHIL3690 Thanks Phil just wondering on the capacity. We use to have Norton 10 tone trailers witch did the job. 👍
Are you going to the Tullamore show
We are yes
Would ye not crimp the grain now?
Last time we crimped it was a bit of a disaster put us off doing it again also we need to harvest our surplus grain dry to sell
Hope ye get 2 balers running too
Great video good solid trailers
Nice trailers, what tonnage do they hold
Massey is 11 ton and triffit is 13 ton
Well done Phil they are grand trailers, when will we the massey cutting
Ist it possible to getcwider tires at the massey trailer, too much pressure to the soil if you extent the load?
Hi
Good video farmer Phil
I thought your acid treatment for grain was a great system.
It is yes but acid is wild expensive at the moment and can be tricky to keep grain for a long period of time
Is it working or does it need any repairs
All working
when phil has harrowed half of what father phil has ploughed he will be a wise man 😂
Unfortunately tho in reality I have harrowed more than he has ploughed😂😂
@@FARMERPHIL3690 😂😂👍
Speculate to Accumulate 👍
Good video Phil
Well
Need a taller shed 👌
