I was very impressed with the owner (Grandson of the founder). He was very quick to give credit to the team members for the success of the company and then you could tell how proud he was of his Grandfather and Dad for the way they designed and built the machinery to make the silos. Very humble which I like.
As someone who knows nothing about these systems or manufacturing, this is strangely interesting. Amy really knows her stuff and it's fascinating to see what work goes into building something the ordinary unaware member of the public would have no idea about. Great stuff Tom!
I agree
📼 5 📹 yes now
Tom, I am hugely impressed with your videography skills. Not one second of this silo build was "grainy". Amy is a star at that company. Make sure they use this as a sales tool for the company.
They would do but he kept calling it a 'bin'. Agree really interesting video and nicely filmed.
Thank you so much ☺️
Exactly, a brand with this sort of transparency I would much rather buy from them over competitors because you can visually see a product every step and the great craftsmanship put into each bin. A big hats off to collinson and you Tom great video! :)
I have 3 collinson feed silos all fitted with the new Feed Alert which my feed suplier has acces to. They just keep my silos topped up, I never have to order feed and i never run out. Collinsons are a top company and great video.
Great to hear - how many other manufacturers in the UK are there I wonder? It seems a slightly random thing to buy to me, but when you start thinking of all the applications, perhaps not.
@@sroberts605 the other big UK name is EB which came from English Brothers who used to make wooden silos and farm equipment ,probably over 100 years ago but now make bespoke timber buildings and are not linked to the EB feed bin company..
Everything we needed to know about silo manufacture that we didn't know we needed. Thank you to Amy for showing us & Tom around.
Lovely to see ANYTHING being manufactured in this country. Just shows we can. ❤
There is so much energy, spirit, and enthusiasm at this company. Who wouldn't want to work there. The world isn't going to the dogs after all. Splendid!.
Splendid! SO good to see Great British Engineers creating great stuff - and for a great project.
Yes Tom
Loved this video

Couldn’t agree more
Yes yes yes
huijh
What an amazing video, so proud of British manufacturing, fantastic factory - well done for supporting your local manufacturers!🇬🇧❤️👏🏻
We are so looking forwards to your trip Tom to the "Pork Pie" and "Pork Scratchings factory".
“Silos not bins” feels a bit like “Father and I”.
A bit less iconic though 😂
TOTALLY impressed with the manufacturing process at this site. The skill and precision of the guys here is incredible. wonderful to see precision engineering like this - and only 10 miles away from you which is great. There are many good companies like this around Britain, big and small, producing precision equipment and parts. we need to promote this more!
Great to see a forward thinking British company making a great product.
And if every company had a Amy wouldn't life be great?
Well done .
This has been an absolutely fantastic stream! Love when you take us on field trips!
Lovely vid! Now all we need is a swedemason supercut of "Bin" vs. "Silo."
Just amazing your dad would have loved that day and what a Star Amy was thanks for taking us on the journey. How many times did you call it a bin?
I think it was 1073 times...?
I found that really interesting 🤔 can't wait to see it all working. 👍🐄
Hi Tom I worked at collisions we built all the link building and all the front yard in fact we did all the ground works for 80% of the site it's a proper firm everything is quality driven proud to of help build collision factory
Great to see British manufacturing still in good health.
I can definitely see your idea of factory visits in the farming community being a tv show, love it 👍👍
Definitely!
The guy assembling the silo from the inside is very trusting that the others don't knock off early for lunch.
😂💯
Really impressed with this video, Collinson's really done themselves proud and made Tom look even more of a star
It’s made in Britain 🇬🇧 we should be shouting so loud about this ! Brilliant to watch
This is one of my fav videos. I used to work for Manufacturing Advisory Service, and we supported, manufacturing in the uk 🇬🇧 the best!!! Thanks for showing us this, brought back some lovely work memories. 🙏👍🏻🇬🇧
Great walk through of the Collinson factory! Well designed facility, and the Collinson team does an incredibly efficient job of creating quality products. Tom, the video quality was outstanding…great job!
☺️
Tom, what a wonderful video with a difference today. Collinson's have demonstrated just like JCB, that manufacturing is still alive and well in the UK. They build a fantastic product and would appear to be very committed in terms of their facilities but most importantly their people who all appear to be well motivated and first class at their craft. Thanks for taking us round the factory and cant wait to see the new silo on site and feeding the moo's
Gregg Wallace needs to watch out! Great vid 👌
yay
Fascinating video Tom!, many thanks to you and Collinsons for walking us through this amazing production proces! 👍🏻
I love Tom's visits to manufacturers... And miss them, because it's been a while. He isn't afraid to ask the questions, we may be shy to and wants things explained so a lay person can understand. My favourite was when he watched his very own slurry tanker being built. Like I chatted last time: Pembertons is a great user of local suppliers and many folk have been employed on and off the farm.
Can’t beat a “ how’s it made bud “ . Big Meccano set . Nice to see where your merch / farm money goes to make life better for yous . Little Amy rocking a new hairdo & lashes 😄👍🏻🏴🚜
Loved this video: As you gave the insight to the making of your silo you used the word amazing many times!!
This video, this company & the end product is just that and it will last you for your lifetime.
Thank you to the entire crew for allowing you to film the end process from start to finish - always wondered how it was done.
The amount of effort it takes to manually build that silo, you’d think it’s all done buy machines with the quality that silo is, also great video Tom keep up the good work👍
And people say we no longer manufacture anything. Great video Tom and fascinating how your ‘little’ bin was made.
Very very cool Tom. Thanks for taking us on the tour and thanks for Collinson for allowing it.
Loved that!
Excellent video Tom, big thank you to Collinsons letting you have a look around and taken us with you to the factory 👍
I have been employed in four different manufacturing plants and it would be an absolute dream to work in one as clean and efficient as Collinsons. That place is amazing! Thank you for the interesting tour. Where I've worked they produced cymbals, cigarette tubes, oil valves/wellheads or aircraft, and things are never assembled quite the way a person expects they would. Like the top down construction of a feed bin. I can't believe how fast it was assembled. That's a cool piece of kit and I hope it adds to Pemberton Farms success for a long time.
Great to see British manufacturing. Your cows will love the new system 🐄🐃🐂
That’s an awesome manufacturing company. Thanks for sharing! Love and prayers 😇💜
Interesting and great video today, seeing all sides of farming.
Fantastico Tom, great video and fair play to All at Collinson's, fantastic set up, Thank You👌👍🙏💯😎
4th! GOOD FRIDAY MORNING TOM,LUKE,HIEDI, AND THE GINGER WARRIOR WITH A MUSTACHE! Great to see the progress! Roger in Pierre South Dakota USA
Yes Tom, you absolutely smashed that. Top video, really interesting. You are the new Gregg Wallace! 😂
The first video I watched of yours was the bin delivery, what a massive journey the farms been on since! Bonkers
Tom great video, Absolutely fascinating how the silo’s are manufactured. It’s something that you never think about how it’s made. Like yourself I’m always interested seeing machinery and how it operates and the finished results. It’s good that it’s a family business and been around for 60 years, plus manufactured in the UK something that seems rare these days . Appreciate the people at Collinsons allowing you to record this and yourself for sharing this.👍
Love this video. I'd like to see more of Tom Pemberton going round factories showing us how things are made. If he could get into the JCB factory that would be amazing.
Lancanshire certainly is a bustling business area in Agriculture! Love it! - Cheers from Canuck.
This was a fantastic video, Tom 😊
Great Video- loved to see how they were made!! Great job Tom
Awesome video Tom! Love seeing the whole process.
Thanks for sharing Tom. Amazing.
Tom this was a really great video. I always like seeing how things are made and how they work. Thanks for sharing this video from start to finish with us and all the new construction and remodeling on the farm. Once again Tom thank you so much for all the time and work it takes for these videos just so we can enjoy and appreciate what it takes to operate and keep things going on the farm.

Excellent insight to Collinson silos.
Got one of their silos here, getting towards the end of its life now, definitely have another collinson silo, lasted towards 40 plus years I think.
Hugely talented family design and installing their own tooling.
