I was very impressed with the owner (Grandson of the founder). He was very quick to give credit to the team members for the success of the company and then you could tell how proud he was of his Grandfather and Dad for the way they designed and built the machinery to make the silos. Very humble which I like.
As someone who knows nothing about these systems or manufacturing, this is strangely interesting. Amy really knows her stuff and it's fascinating to see what work goes into building something the ordinary unaware member of the public would have no idea about. Great stuff Tom!
I agree
📼 5 📹 yes now
I have 3 collinson feed silos all fitted with the new Feed Alert which my feed suplier has acces to. They just keep my silos topped up, I never have to order feed and i never run out. Collinsons are a top company and great video.
Great to hear - how many other manufacturers in the UK are there I wonder? It seems a slightly random thing to buy to me, but when you start thinking of all the applications, perhaps not.
@@sroberts605 the other big UK name is EB which came from English Brothers who used to make wooden silos and farm equipment ,probably over 100 years ago but now make bespoke timber buildings and are not linked to the EB feed bin company..
Tom, I am hugely impressed with your videography skills. Not one second of this silo build was "grainy". Amy is a star at that company. Make sure they use this as a sales tool for the company.
They would do but he kept calling it a 'bin'. Agree really interesting video and nicely filmed.
Thank you so much ☺️
Exactly, a brand with this sort of transparency I would much rather buy from them over competitors because you can visually see a product every step and the great craftsmanship put into each bin. A big hats off to collinson and you Tom great video! :)
Everything we needed to know about silo manufacture that we didn't know we needed. Thank you to Amy for showing us & Tom around.
Lovely to see ANYTHING being manufactured in this country. Just shows we can. ❤
Splendid! SO good to see Great British Engineers creating great stuff - and for a great project.
This is one of my fav videos. I used to work for Manufacturing Advisory Service, and we supported, manufacturing in the uk 🇬🇧 the best!!! Thanks for showing us this, brought back some lovely work memories. 🙏👍🏻🇬🇧
There is so much energy, spirit, and enthusiasm at this company. Who wouldn't want to work there. The world isn't going to the dogs after all. Splendid!.
What an amazing video, so proud of British manufacturing, fantastic factory - well done for supporting your local manufacturers!🇬🇧❤️👏🏻
TOTALLY impressed with the manufacturing process at this site. The skill and precision of the guys here is incredible. wonderful to see precision engineering like this - and only 10 miles away from you which is great. There are many good companies like this around Britain, big and small, producing precision equipment and parts. we need to promote this more!
Great to see a forward thinking British company making a great product.
And if every company had a Amy wouldn't life be great?
Well done .
Tom please do longer vids like this one please even if has not that good of content I love 30 to 40 minutes videos
Couldn’t agree more
Yes yes yes
huijh
Just amazing your dad would have loved that day and what a Star Amy was thanks for taking us on the journey. How many times did you call it a bin?
I think it was 1073 times...?
Yes Tom
Loved this video

Absolutely Class
I have been employed in four different manufacturing plants and it would be an absolute dream to work in one as clean and efficient as Collinsons. That place is amazing! Thank you for the interesting tour. Where I've worked they produced cymbals, cigarette tubes, oil valves/wellheads or aircraft, and things are never assembled quite the way a person expects they would. Like the top down construction of a feed bin. I can't believe how fast it was assembled. That's a cool piece of kit and I hope it adds to Pemberton Farms success for a long time.
We are so looking forwards to your trip Tom to the "Pork Pie" and "Pork Scratchings factory".
Hi Tom I worked at collisions we built all the link building and all the front yard in fact we did all the ground works for 80% of the site it's a proper firm everything is quality driven proud to of help build collision factory
You can always tell a good company, they are normally the ones who are so proud of their products, and staff they invite people to view their products being made, its great to see a British company that is actually proud Collinson's looks like a amazing company, big shout out to even one of the company owners is there to talk about their products, its also great to see a company that designs and uses it own products to build its other products better, faster, cheaper and more efficient.
This has been an absolutely fantastic stream! Love when you take us on field trips!
Great walk through of the Collinson factory! Well designed facility, and the Collinson team does an incredibly efficient job of creating quality products. Tom, the video quality was outstanding…great job!
☺️
Really impressed with this video, Collinson's really done themselves proud and made Tom look even more of a star
Fascinating video Tom!, many thanks to you and Collinsons for walking us through this amazing production proces! 👍🏻
I can definitely see your idea of factory visits in the farming community being a tv show, love it 👍👍
Definitely!
I found that really interesting 🤔 can't wait to see it all working. 👍🐄
Interesting and great video today, seeing all sides of farming.
Very very cool Tom. Thanks for taking us on the tour and thanks for Collinson for allowing it.
That’s an awesome manufacturing company. Thanks for sharing! Love and prayers 😇💜
Excellent video Tom, big thank you to Collinsons letting you have a look around and taken us with you to the factory 👍
Loved this video: As you gave the insight to the making of your silo you used the word amazing many times!!
This video, this company & the end product is just that and it will last you for your lifetime.
Thank you to the entire crew for allowing you to film the end process from start to finish - always wondered how it was done.
Brilliant, thank you for showing us
I’m delighted that the UK continues to support farms, especially dairy farms that, in turn support a fantastic manufacturing outfit like Colleson! The county I used to live in in Tennessee went from 106 active dairies, 40 years or so ago, to 2! Sad!! I love metalwork and still own a small custom sheet metal shop, so I appreciate what you showed us today!!
Sorry, Collinson! 😊
I love Tom's visits to manufacturers... And miss them, because it's been a while. He isn't afraid to ask the questions, we may be shy to and wants things explained so a lay person can understand. My favourite was when he watched his very own slurry tanker being built. Like I chatted last time: Pembertons is a great user of local suppliers and many folk have been employed on and off the farm.
And people say we no longer manufacture anything. Great video Tom and fascinating how your ‘little’ bin was made.
Tom, what a wonderful video with a difference today. Collinson's have demonstrated just like JCB, that manufacturing is still alive and well in the UK. They build a fantastic product and would appear to be very committed in terms of their facilities but most importantly their people who all appear to be well motivated and first class at their craft. Thanks for taking us round the factory and cant wait to see the new silo on site and feeding the moo's
Fantastico Tom, great video and fair play to All at Collinson's, fantastic set up, Thank You👌👍🙏💯😎
A fantastic example of high quality British manufacturing. What an interesting video.
Seems like a good company with nice people who take pride in their work. Thanks for taking us round.
The first video I watched of yours was the bin delivery, what a massive journey the farms been on since! Bonkers
Really enjoyed this video, my Dad had a Collinsons bin, this is going back to the seventies, with a chain and paddle cake delivery system. Collinsons are a really impressive company
Excellent insight to Collinson silos.
Got one of their silos here, getting towards the end of its life now, definitely have another collinson silo, lasted towards 40 plus years I think.
Hugely talented family design and installing their own tooling.
Loved that!
Tom great video, Absolutely fascinating how the silo’s are manufactured. It’s something that you never think about how it’s made. Like yourself I’m always interested seeing machinery and how it operates and the finished results. It’s good that it’s a family business and been around for 60 years, plus manufactured in the UK something that seems rare these days . Appreciate the people at Collinsons allowing you to record this and yourself for sharing this.👍
What a wonderful video - learning how things are made LOVE IT
Thanks to Collinsons for allowing Tom into your factory really really interesting, Very professional i can see you have had a nice clean up?? 😀😀👍👍👍👍
Gracias por compartir la actualización y trabajo de la granja 👏👏👍🇪🇦
Best thing about watching tom is there hes local too me so seeing all the recognisable businesses, places, building etc on a YT vid i just find really cool
I love seeing how things are made. That looks like a very efficient and professional operation. Thanks Tom and Collinsons for taking us along. 👍👍

What a fantastic video Tom. Really interesting and very fluent.
Fantastic thanks again really good 👍 thanks nice SILO BIN
What an organisation incredible wouldn't want to be the first guy on his knees all day but who knew how a silo was made we just take all things for granted... fantastic..
What a company so impressive. Always learn something from your videos Tom
I absolutely love the in-depth tour of a local business. Love the channel as always!
Fascinating.
That was really interesting thank you for showing it to us
It’s made in Britain 🇬🇧 we should be shouting so loud about this ! Brilliant to watch
fantastic , great to see this company builds everything you need for your silo all British made like it use to be and well made , built to last , can't wait to see it being put in place
Tom this was a really great video. I always like seeing how things are made and how they work. Thanks for sharing this video from start to finish with us and all the new construction and remodeling on the farm. Once again Tom thank you so much for all the time and work it takes for these videos just so we can enjoy and appreciate what it takes to operate and keep things going on the farm.
Very enjoyable. That Amy knows her stuff.
Awsome job Tom. Like your video. s .a lot.
Great to see British manufacturing. Your cows will love the new system 🐄🐃🐂
Lancanshire certainly is a bustling business area in Agriculture! Love it! - Cheers from Canuck.
Love this video. I'd like to see more of Tom Pemberton going round factories showing us how things are made. If he could get into the JCB factory that would be amazing.
Love manufacturing videos! I’m an owner of a family business manufacturing stainless steel carpet and upholstery cleaning tools here in Oregon so I find it very interesting to see how other businesses make things.
Fantastic video Tom. It is such a pleasure to see how much you’re moving forward in your farming. Love when you get these companies/ manufacturers to allow you to bring us along watching, seeing and learning how it’s done and why and the improvements that have come through time in helping people in farming. You and your dad have done such incredible changes and improvements on the farm and you’ve been wonderful in letting us experience it with you and your family. Thank you so much. ❤
That was a really cool field trip. Thanks for sharing. You will now have two big green silos.
Yes Tom, you absolutely smashed that. Top video, really interesting. You are the new Gregg Wallace! 😂
Great Video I found that very interesting 👍 like you said about Greg going and seeing how things are made is very interesting 😀
Really good to see a great British manufacturing company doing so well producing a really good product
Very good really enjoyed that thanks Tom very informative and interesting
Brilliant video great to see the different processes of the manufacture
Brilliant company and factory. Tempted to buy one even though I haven't anything for it to do !
Fascinating video. Very interesting Tom.
Great to see British manufacturing still in good health.
Can’t beat a “ how’s it made bud “ . Big Meccano set . Nice to see where your merch / farm money goes to make life better for yous . Little Amy rocking a new hairdo & lashes 😄👍🏻🏴🚜
Brilliant to see how it’s made. Especially so local
Really nice to see everything and the jobs getting done
The amount of effort it takes to manually build that silo, you’d think it’s all done buy machines with the quality that silo is, also great video Tom keep up the good work👍
Love factory walk arounds, absolutely fascinating. And all built in the UK. 🇬🇧
Lovely vid! Now all we need is a swedemason supercut of "Bin" vs. "Silo."
That was an interesting video Tom, I'm like you always interested in how things are made.
Amazing. I enjoyed watching a very professional firm explain all. Excellent. Cheers Tom. Cheers Collinsons. 🚜🚜🚜🌷🌷🚜🚜🚜
Class video, love the building/fabrication content
4th! GOOD FRIDAY MORNING TOM,LUKE,HIEDI, AND THE GINGER WARRIOR WITH A MUSTACHE! Great to see the progress! Roger in Pierre South Dakota USA
it is a total joy to watch the forward movement of the farm. every aspect is worth watching, so thanks for showing it. how things work in the modern world is cool. how things worked in you dads youth was also cool. the ginger man telling about the building of the original parlor, watching your uncle see the tearing down of the old parlor is just as important as watching the new tech going in. tomorrow it's all history, and it's all valuable to remember. so Tom you are in charge of saving valuable history for mankind. didn't know that you where so important, did you.
Really found this interesting as i heew up on a farm and used to fit Milking parlours for my first full time job. Looking forward to visiting the farm shop on Sunday after the Windmill Half Marathon in Lytham just up the road.
Fantastic to watch the process there tom! Thank you
Excellent and very interesting tom , thanks to collinson for letting us see there procedure in the making of silos , well done to all involved 👏
Fascinating. Ta Tom.
Gregg Wallace needs to watch out! Great vid 👌
yay
Brilliant stuff.......good that we still have some good manufacturing companys left in this country. it all goes to show that agriculture is a much bigger industry than many people realise
What a brilliant video absolutely loved it British engineering ❤
Tom this was amazing to watch, you must be getting so excited to see the end in site
Great video nice that lady is so helpful and nice
Great video learning about "our" new parlor set ups!! I feel as though I'm right there with you. Have a great weekend!!
Everything is coming together❤❤❤looking good.😊
Great video Tom! Massive thanks to Collinson's for allowing us to see inside the factory 👌
I really enjoy this type of video. It is amazing what goes on behind the scenes to keep farming up to date. I would have expected it to take days instead of hours to put one together.
