Watching your videos has really helped me with my build ocd lol I HATED doing anything that wasn't completely "clean" but now I've gotten ideas and direction on how to get past those stupid builder blockages (ie roof and your typical square build *shudder* ) Keep up the amazing work!
an addition you can use for the footers in order to ensure they can't be easily climbed by assaulting purges, or in the case of PVP enemy players or thralls, is to place palisades underneath them.
Yet again, great building tips, you always manage to think of something I've not considered. I like the little details that add more depth to a build. Always makes them look more 'realistic'
I love that house design from tip 3. It's relatively simple, yet incredibly beautiful and cozy (plus, even with T3 material, it wouldn't be so much consuming on materials, expecially since I mostly play my solo games with 0.5-0.7 crafting multiplier to avoid extensive grind). I'm making another blueprint and adding it to my "build options" pile xD Although I will probably use Turanian roof (in combination with Argossean style, it will make my favorite so called "Byzantine/Sicilian" theme) and Lattice wall instead of Stormglass (you know, to allow more fresh air in, expecially now in summer I realize how important such thing is xD). And maybe, the floor of... ehm first floor could be done with wooden-style ceilings (Savage Frontiers, for example), to make it even more comfy as living room/bedroom. But overall, the shape of the house is brilliant, I love it! Thumbs up!
Glad you enjoyed the video! Wooden ceilings would suit that Argossean house really nicely, I would definitely opt for Frontier or Stable if I were fleshing out the build properly :)
I'm afraid that's pretty much impossible. On a technical level, water in this game is not an actual fluid or plane, its an animated texture with a status effect and a movement force. Therefore it doesn't flow or move like in a game like Minecraft or Subnautica. Sorry my guy
@@deathhorse3815 I've made a ship once before, its an absolute pain to get it right but it is do-able. Unfortunately though, you can't keep the water out

That was an example wall that uses footers, buttresses and protrusions. Very similar to the wall at the end of the video, just a little taller and with roof detailing
@@Eradicati0nn I have serious problems with roofs or floors. I like to place the ceiling facing the same direction for prettier layout. Sadly it turns red when placing. I don't know if it really affects stability...
@@KairoMontano I think some of the stability previews are just broken honestly, its shown me red or dark red before when I know its about 40 or 60 stability. I do the same with ceilings myself, I'll hopefully have that guide out this week or maybe early next week :)

I love this little series you started, it really got me into building and upgrading my current builds again!

I'm still super OCD about building and decoration myself, but its definitely good to be able to break the mould. Glad you found it helpful!

Thanks Pupper, glad you enjoyed the video! :)

Can't believe I missed this one... great vid
Great videos, love these!
Wall facades I find great, they add more to a simple build andale the base more intimodating/badass. Can cost a bit but meh. They also look awesome.
Thanks for the tips dude.
You're very welcome, hope you find them helpful!
He buddy I have wondered if you can build under water and make ur base actually hold out water?

This is late but congrats on 10k!!!!
Thanks Rose! Still planning to undertake the survival stream, the recent heatwave over here has delayed that a little bit though 😂
I play on ps4 can we get buttresses n all that or is that only a mod for PC?
You build buttresses yourself with regular building pieces, doesn't matter if its Sandstone, Stormglass or anything in between :)
@@Eradicati0nn ohhhhh gotcha thank you mate :)

Thanks Emile! :)
@@Eradicati0nn how do you come up with the builds? Do you play on single player of server?

Amazing
What's the building from the thumbnail?

@@Eradicati0nn looks really nice for the new tall benches that need two blocks higher
@@KairoMontano Its a total of about 3 or 4 tiles high, but I might include the same wall in the Build Better Roofs video I'm working on :)

Meanwhile, I'm mentally stuck with 8x8 boxes because I stubbornly want to fit all the benches in a single room.
The best way to get around that is by starting with that 8x8 then adding stuff around it, segmenting space inside of it etc
It does save quite a bit of running around. The grind of crafting is crazy.

Dude said buttresses like 30 times call a third grade teacher quick
this is just design tho.. all of those are raideable in 2 minutes
Build back better, (sorry :( )
