Mike, I am in total awe of you and Melissa at the care and compassion you show Hunter. You guys are truly blessings and wonderful examples of family and good folks. I think Hunter might get his energy from you, being that you can get more accomplished in 8hrs than most in 24. Tammy and I always look forward to seeing your videos. Thank you for your dedication to your family, your hard work ethic and being an honest good fella. You set the bar high for us men who watch you. God speed to you and your family. Keep doing what you do, you make the world a better place. Blessings and prayers coming to you from Chapmansboro TN.

I have heard the heated garages are worse for vehicles because the underside is always wet and that is when the salt does the most damage.

Sounds like a tuff night Mike…I understand your comment on “me time” and not having to constantly divide your attention between Hunter and whatever you might be involved with. Unfortunately my wife has Dementia, her sleep schedule is upside down that affects so much. You, Melissa and Hunters siblings are an inspiration in dealing with keeping Hunter safe and Loved.

Hey Mike, I watched Levi's video. Very good video, brought back many, many memories of me and a couple boys in the neighborhood, camping out in the forest, in the snow, all year round really. Absolutely loved Ty out there helping dad, good stuff man, good stuff. Now you, I had the thought as you were on the 4 wheeler, gas it Mike, gas it!!! Then, no, no, don't gas it!! Don't. I pictured you crashing and being laid up a week, and I'd have to go a week without your post. No, you be safe, always be safe. We need you. Gosh, I've been watching you for so many years, I'm addicted to your channel. I'm glad your 4 wheeler goes good and fast in the snow, you take it out as often as you want, just please be careful. Why the heck do you not park all your cars in the garage? Are you nuts? Geezers, people just don't think. I knew why, all along. I never thought you should make room for the vehicles, but I have thought it would serve y'all well if you built a nice shed to park all your vehicles under, you know, just a roof over them, no walls. Man, you have way too much great stuff in the house garage and in the HQ to bring in all the muck from under your vehicles. A shed would be nice, but you only have so much room. It would have to be near the house where you park now. My thinking is not to park under a shed to protect the finish of the vehicles, but to keep y'all dry loading up to go somewhere, you, not the vehicle. But, hey, matters not to me where you park. Just keep the camera's running. I'm addicted to OWTM. I love y'all. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Good stuff, really good stuff.

Hi Mike, thanks for showing me the mini skid and its capabilities. I had a company take out 14 huge trees this year. They have a mini skip. Impressed me so much I bought one. I didn't want to spend the $40 to $60K for a domestic model, so I ordered one from Shandong China from a company called Derette. It's their top of the line called a V1000. You can get them with a Kubota or a Perkins diesel. I bought the Perkins because of my long history with that company. My sales rep is Dean Sun. It was a great experience from start to delivery. I can't believe the quality of this little machine. I'll send an update when I get more time on it. In the meantime thanks again for all your videos and stay warm! Shalom/gw

Another benefit of leaving them in open, when it snows, is you can gather snow for snow ice cream easier. The weather people are also saying that round two for us is coming this weekend. Who knows, it might even snow.

Great Dad, you truly are so keep the vehicle anywhere you want, you earned it. The full moon thing is real. My wife is a retried nurse and every time there is a full moon I get a nurse full moon story or 2 or more. If it was a slow night on her floor and it was a full moon she would start reorganizing the work/storage areas in her ward. She did that for years commenting "full moon, time to clear this place up" while she was doing that the physic would call looking for help. She did that for years before one of the other nurses figured that was her way to avoid going up on a full moon. Any other time she was willing to go up and help.

I run a auto repair shop here in Northern Lower Michigan and we can tell by the undercarriage of vehicles that get parked in a heated garage. The slopes drips off leaving the salt to eat away at the undercarriage. I had a beautiful truck in one day and asked the gentleman if he'd like to see the undercarriage of his truck while it was on the lift. He literally had tears in his eyes after seeing what the salt did to his vehicle. Gas tank straps about gone, transmission and engine oil cooler lines corroded insanely. Transmission pan rotted and brake lines ready to blow at any moment. Did you know there's 40+ feet of brake lines on a Silverado?

Lots of crazy memories but I wouldn't change it for anything. I love the way you and Melissa care for Hunter. I have a grandson with autism. He's going to be 21 next month. Mike: I bought a house in 2005 or so, in Dayton, OH, and the prev owners both worked full tiime, and had pulled their vehicles into the garage of this circa 1964, VERY well built home, and the concrete in the 2-car garage, right under the outline of the 2 cars, was pitted, terribly, you easily see all the DAMAGE from the melting ice / snow / salt, over the 40+ years !!!!

It is a game changer. You can install the angle kit yourself with no problem.

About the snow on the vehicles, when [pretty rare] it snows here your not going to blow it off. The snow here in SE Texas when it happens, it freezes more like sleet and ice. Besides, the Ceramic Coating is probably great defense for Auto protection. And what most people do not get, took me a minute, Mike, you know what your doing. The salt is terrible to concrete it ruined a granit and cement step of mine just from the little bit of salt to melt the ice on it. Some people don’t realize that it does that. You can see the damage salt does going over the Newport bridge. It’s concrete. 30 some of years ago I learned the snow rake is essential around my place. No more ice dams , l only go up a foot or 2 on most of my roofs. My horse barn doesn’t seem to need it, barn location most likely and it has gutters. Bob

Hi Mike. I agree. As a retired small family farmer of 23yrs. I will get very tired at the last 9yrs. I couldn't sleep in 14 yrs. I completely understand tiredness. 😴😴😴😴 Yes. The wolf moon. Some winter the ice & snow is a constant battle. Then sleeping outside Levi & Christian. Crazy! 🙃🙃🙃🙃🤔🤔🤔🤔 I ❤camping. Just not in winter seasons. I agree about winter / vehicles/ garage. That salt is so nasty. Stains everything. Well. Thanks Mike. Say Hi to Melissa, Melissa's dad, Eva, Hunter, Levi, Kate, Tyler, & Hannah. Have a good Wednesday night the 15th. 🥰😊😉🥶👍❤️💜⚘️⚘️⚘️⚘️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🌬🌫

I really like your Snow Additude which you can call Snowatude, I live in Southern AZ, when it snows here you just wait an hour or so and it melts, I own zero snow shovel or snow removal equip of anykind 😀 Tom

The back end of the ATV trying to pass you is one of the negatives about Polaris's CVT, no engine braking....just freewheels down the hills. That was one thing I liked about my Yamaha Grizzly 450 and Yamaha Rhino 700, the one way clutch in the CVT allowed for engine braking...and going down hills in snow, mud, etc. in 4WD you had 4 wheel engine braking.
Hmm, you probably need to contact your Vermeer dealer and get the heater fixed on that thing HAHA!!!
You don't park your cars in your garage, and neither do several hundred thousand other people LOL. I don't even have a garage and glad I don't, otherwise it would be full of stuff too and couldn't get a vehicle in it anyhow HAHA!!. I just have a carport that's half cluttered with stuff I still need to sort through and put away once I get the storage shed cleaned out and organized....having to go through 30+ years of my grandparents stuff since they have both passed away; grandpa about a year ago now....is quite the tedious process, there's so much stuff to go through, sort out, give to family, etc. Slowly making process, its just hard when you go through that stuff and brings back memory after memory.
Being able to put my vehicles up on the carport at least keeps the windows from being frosted over in the mornings at least. Having them in a garage I mean would be really nice, but for my super duty, like you it wouldn't fit in the garage anyhow as the garages back in the 70's when my house was built weren't very big to begin with full size trucks don't fit in them, and most weren't deep enough to get a full size truck into and be able to close the door anyhow.

Does it seem like a longer & colder winter than usual? If you build another building/garage its just more room for more junk!

Looks like a beautiful ride on the four wheeler. I miss my four wheeler I had one years ago. I sold it because I rarely rode it. There was a short span if I was even caught on county road with it I would get pulled over so it just wasn’t worth it to me going from one property to another having to loading up all the time but now it’s crazy people just ride them all over the place, but then you would get a ticket in five seconds flat for being on the road. I can understand where if you have responsibilities with your family how you can want some alone time at night Nothing crazy about that. As far as the camping we ever travel trailer and we use it multiple times a year here in Kentucky at LBL. I’m with u though tent camping is definitely less desirable. Maybe when you’re young, but when you get older, not so much especially for me my wife doesn’t like it either. We’re waiting on this super cold spell to come in here in Western Kentucky or it supposed to get close to zero. God Bless

Funny you talked about the full moon. My wife that has brain health issues and usually sleeps like a log was up acting odd last night about midnight too.! Normal today. Yes, you have to get your quiet time or you get wore out from their frequent "emergencies". I feel ya!

Mike, full moon. I worked for the telephone company for 43 years, and yes, the full moon does something to some people. We could always tell when it was a full moon because we would get the most ridiculous calls from people, and they would really be bent out of shape over the littlest things. We could count on it with some of the people that we would get a call or two from them every full moon. The full moon does have some control over some people. J.R.

Hi guys! I have the 23 Polaris Sportsman Ultimate Trail with the 90 hp 1000cc motor. It's a beast! I use it to plow my driveway, hunt and ride trails. It does it all very well. Most of the time it's in the work mode option. I wanted an 850 but it was towards the end of COVID and it was slim pickings and they sold it to me for the price of the 850.
It definitely has more power than weight to hold it down.

You could build a carport outside of your basement. 2-3 vehicles could park under it and they are still outside .
