    im a school bus driver and during the shutdown with the online learning💻, and the coming driverless vehicles, i realized it's time to re-educate myself, so i started putting whatever extra money and time i have towards try, learn, fail, try again.
    so far i've taught myself a little bit of programming and recently purchased a regrow food kit for beginners and with much trial and error, regrew navy beans and garlic🧄 so far, and sometime after the new year i'll slowly began to purchase what i need to start teaching myself a little bit of carpentry, because like you keep saying in your videos, we need more of a purpose than money and work, and another thing is with the automation increase😱, and whatever else is coming down the line, time to start making long term changes is now.

    These are precious advices not taught in schools & not even understood by a large number of people in our society. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about money although they're just a new spin to what others in 'financial freedom' & 'escape from wage slavery' genre gurus had been drumming up for quite a while in recent years. I like your way presenting it in piecemeal and understandable fashion. You also don't ulteriorly position a product or a course on how to attain the kind of freedom you advocate like the others who opputunistically exploit the desperation and eagerness of those who want to find freedom from the grips of wage slavery & escape the rat race.

    • @TomScryleus

      Really appreciate it. Your comment just made my day. :)
      I dont have a course or book on the topic. Its possible some day in the future. But honestly i dont feel confortable with it. Because it would feel like im making content for commersial reasons.
      If i ever do pitch my course it would be about something different. Thats the only way I could do it.
      I hope to inspire and motivate people, but I defintly dont want to channel viewers to courses and digital products.

    I do agree with most things. However, when it comes to investing and picking your own separate stocks you need to know what you’re doing, and studies have shown time and time again that just investing in a broad index-funds beats most investors how picks there own stocks. I’m tired of people thinking that they’re so much smarter than professionals, when it comes to investing. Always trying to beat the market and at the end losing money!

    • @TomScryleus
      @TomScryleus  Рік тому +1

      I agree, Index funds are the safest bet. And on the stock market I only pick index funds. BUT, when because I think stock is boring. But when it comes to crypto I know what i'm doing, and I play very agressive or offensive. and that has given me a LOT more gains than playing it safe.
      I have made a video about it, called "1000x Crypto investments To Escape Wage Slavery". yes, its a bit of a click bait title. but its really good. you should check it out.

    I thought I was already subbed! lol #newsub but I’ve been listening for a few months :3
    There’s such cognitive dissonance with people where there’s an innate desire for financial freedom but the programming says “you shouldn’t want that” which is effective at keeping people stuck as wage slaves. I struggled for a while with “disappointing” my parents or society or whatever bc I am building a business around my creative passions vs using my law degree that everyone pushed me to get thinking that would = success. It more just made me a lot of student loan debt, tho I don’t regret challenging myself and my potential and I use everything I learned about law and policy to create realistic world building in my novels (crescent crown saga).
    I wrote a song a while ago called “commodity” which my band Frailin’ Hearts played last year at Lincoln Exposed and people LOVED IT - I couldn’t believe the audience feedback bc we’re sick and tired of being treated like commodities instead of like human beings!

       @1Skeptik1 If you have passive income you are harvesting those that came after you. If you invested in a 401k or stocks you have contributed to the inflation and offshoring that has left your nation destabilized and invaded by hostile aliens. If you have built a business empire by your own sweat, it was done by not paying others their due -- at best you can say that if you hadn't done so someone else would.
      Your retirement is funded by having sold an ethical life and the future of your nation to the highest bidder.

A vulture approaches you and offers to direct you to clean drinking water, with the only catch being he gets to ride on your shoulders on the way. You agree. Now, with his talons dug into you, he calls out "right, right, right, straight ahead, now left, left, left, keep straight" and so on until you collapse. Before you pass and are consumed, the vulture explains how broadly speaking he was correct and that your failure was due to your lack of due diligence.

    Hi,
    I like your idea of a one-person company. However, your criticism of large corporations and being an investor seems like hypocrisy.
    What else are you going to invest in other than large corporations? Seems like for you to be able to escape wage slavery, someone else has to produce those profits for you.
    It's corporations that fuel assets like real estate and crypto, so investing in those does not free you from the guilt.Alternative investments do not have the capacity to substitute capital markets.
    Seems like corporations and the stock market are things that enable us to live off our capital in the first place.
    For passive, risk averse, long term investors there is no avoiding investing in large corporations. Even if you invest in something like small cap stocks you are still investing in companies larger than 100 million at least.
    Aren't we just handing down the wage slavery to the next person?
    I'm not disagreeing with your ideas, I'm just saying that corporations might ironically enable your finanicial freedom.

    • @TomScryleus
      @TomScryleus  Рік тому +1

      I see your point, but I never said nobody should start a big corporation. Or that i hate big companies. For example, I love Apple products, it would not be possible without a big company like Apple.
      And there is a lot of people who live for building big companies, like jeff bezos. Im saying im not like that, im saying that there a benefits with having a small company. I mention the fact that having a big company would require having lots of meetings and hiring lots of people. While that could be fun for some, for most people who are not born to be entrepenurs, starting a simple corporation could be a better option.
      Some people if not most are totally fine being wage slaves, and so there is room for variety. My videos reflect my personal views, and some viewers can relate. So my videos are for those who think like me, people who are sick of the 9-5 rat race.
      I try to create a life where i get more control of my financial situation and i create videos on that topic as well.

    • @rafalocity
      @rafalocity Рік тому +2

      @@TomScryleus Thanks for responding. I agree that starting a small company is a good choice for most people.
      I did not mean people should start large companies, I was talking about investing in large companies. If you want to be a passive investor you are almost always restricted to big companies. As an investor, you want qualified management which mostly big companies can afford.
      Apart from that, I'm not sure that keeping your company small is always the best solution: Sure, there are some cases, for example digital workers, freelancers where their business can revolve only around them and they can outsource some minor stuff and do 80-95% of their work and live comfortably. But not all people can afford to keep their business small. Imagine you have a cleaning business or almost any physical business - you don't want to work there physically for the rest of your life. Your ticket to a more comfortable life is almost always scaling up - hiring employees, delegating responsibilities and then selling your business, or just living off the profits as a passive owner.
