To the people who want another Blueprints or Deadweight--you've already got it! It will always be there. I'm so glad they're experimenting. It just makes me more excited for what they do next time.
But breaking Benjamin has already been done and will always be there as well lol. We don't need to keep having heavy bands doing their best breaking Benjamin impressions.

It's not that I want another Blueprints or Deadweight. It's that those albums were inspiring, well produced, and unique. The song structure, guitar work, and vocals were full of life. Now they give us over produced cookie cutter repetition and it doesn't even feel like the same band. Some might see that as a good thing but for bands to have longevity they have to innovate while also harnessing what drew their fan base originally. There's a reason so many people are hearing these albums and saying "meh"

Good thing about artist is they can evolve. It gets to the point where they start making music for them. If you’re truly a real fan you will enjoy their music and be open to change.
Personally liked the album. Was expecting a bit different, but I’m sure as heck not disappointed. This was one of my favorite tracks, along with hellbent. Great review as always!

For me, I absolutely love this album. The shows about to start and happy hunting have been repeaters for me like crazy. I love it when bands like experiment and try new things and personally, every album that wage war has made, i loved. This is a band that doesn’t miss for me. But that’s just me

Uhhh no. this is horrible. There is way to write music more accessible to the normie population and still put out good music and this ain’t it. This is formulaic music by numbers for 16 year old rock fans in Mississippi/Louisiana. It’s literally the lowest tier of alternative music and I’m tired of people pretending like it’s good. WW had a huge L with Pressure came back strong with Manic…Manic wasn’t particularly good but it was very different and experimental. So far stigma is not good and it’s not different.

I thought this album would be a little more heavy than it is. Still a great album. Saw them live earlier this year, and they are so pumped for this to come out. Still love em...

This album fits flawlessly in with Manic and Pressure so I’m not sure what’s so polarizing for people. They’ve sounded like this for years.
Honestly one of my favourite tracks on the album.

Happy Hunting is actually my favorite. Just gets me pumped. Even tho most people seem to hate that track the most 😅

I've been watching and listening too like everyones reactions and opinions about Wage War's new album. On one side, you have all the haters. On another you have all the praisers. On another you have the in betweens. Too each their own opinion. I personally love and respect this album and band. They made every song unique in its own way while keeping the Wage War sound throughout. SELF SACRIFICE, MAGNETIC, and BLUR were definitely my top 3 favorite songs off the album. THE SHOW IS ABOUT TOO START was a great opener as well.

Wage War always seems to be the most polarizing metal core band out there for some reason. I don't feel like I can't make individual decisions on their songs. Some of the tracks on Stigma I will never listen to again. That said, Tombstone, Nail5, and Self Sacrifice are amazing and absolutely phenomenal songs. Magnetic is also a great song that I love the sound of.

people really overhate on the pressure album. It has so many good songs. As for this record, its gonna take a bit for me. Hasnt grabbed me fully yet.
They have a great formula, and it works. People want experimental music and deathcore… go get it.
I’m loving the singing songs mostly on this album.

Cool Song
I’m a fan of bands growing their style, and this is a decent song, but overall the album doesn’t have many surprises to me. They are at their best when the guitar work is going off and they are switching it up more within each song. I wanted more of the ending of Tombstone.

Not for me but it's the natural trajectory for bands that seek more mainstream popularity. 15 yrs ago I saw BMTH in a venue of maybe 2 or 300. Playing what I like from Suicide Season and Count Your Blessings. Now they are headlining festivals, playing what I assume is "good" for a more mainstream audience. It is what it is.

I don't know why so many people hate this album. I was kinda worried about it after I heard magnetic, and I didn't care for NAIL5 much. But I love it, very radio-friendly, but still heavy at the same time.
You need to do "Change My Outcome" from Dead By April.
Everyone hating on Wage War trying new things; do you just want them to churn out the same recycled 5 or 6 sounding songs? This album is not “their best”, sure, but it’s also not a stinker.
I don't hate them for sounding different. I don't like that they started to sound like a generic radio friendly band that is more pop than metal tbh. It's my opinion and you don't have to agree with me. They may have tried new things, but it didn't really work well

This just makes me so sad. Every favorite band i have ever had has ended up sounding like this. With maybe the exception of The Devil Wears Prada, but they sure dont sound like old TDWP thats forsure.
I mean, some of the worst examples i can think of are Asking Alexandria and Parkway Drive.
I just see this going the same way, and i really didnt want to lose Wage War. Not like they are "mine", but damn :[.

Hey ohrion you should react to "As we turn" by Thornes of Eleanore.
My biggest gripe with this, is that its just something that EVERY other metalcore band out there is doing in the scene. And, the more i keep hearing people defend bands like this with "They're just trying something different", the less original it sounds, and the more of an excuse it sounds like for these bands to just sell out and drop their original audience. I just cant into this whole superficial radio rock stuff. And, coming from somebody whos stuck around since Deadweight and Blueprints, i know they have SO MUCH more potential for better, and more intricate songwriting, this is just pure laziness, and old time fans are allowed to voice their disdain.

Tbh so far I've been a little dissapointed with this album coming from Manic. That imo was their best. Loved how heavy and pissed they sounded(especially Death Roll)...this album...meh
I dont get the Hate for Wage War. Manic is heavier than this for sure, but still this is a different aspect its groovy more cleans i liked magnetic, it reminds me sometimes at Bad omens. If you dont like it okay go listen to the older Albums and just dont get pissed at the Band cuz they wanna be experimental and try new shit. 😂 Stigma gets a 7.5 out of 10. It has good songs but for Manic it needs more for me
I feel people are too polarized....the music itself is more dynamic than the divisions within the fans the band seems to be making by releasing the music....

They need to chill out with the editing and samples. This is one of the more original songs which is a reach to say.

Honest opinion, I’m not a huge fan of the album. I just feel like so much of it is rinse/repeat. While I respect their direction and understand that it’s a massive business move, it’s just not something I’ll keep on repeat like most of their albums
I like 2 songs on this album. Manic was way better imo. I’m kinda disappointed but at least it’s not the worst album on the planet. No hate to those who like it tho, just not my cup of tea.

I don't say this often but this album genuinely sucks. Cringe lyrics, generic songwriting to the max, forced breakdowns in every song, more cringe lyrics, no flow. Just a lazy thrown together slop. I can't.
Wage war wants to be on CMT so badly. This is dog shit music. I laughed out loud at that little drop and video effect at 3:23. Can we stop pretending like this song has any impact or energy in at all? It’s about as spicy as ketchup.
And I’m not asking for another Blue Prints or deadweight. I think manic was a decent album that was very interesting and unique…Stigma is so bland I’m skipping through every song to try and find something cool or interesting and I’m coming up empty handed. Like i honestly don’t know how these guys could write this album and think it would successful anywhere other than Octane radio

Definitely not what I exactly wanted from this album... but hey! They're trying things. I found lots of interesting things on this album but not in their breakdowns. That's for sure. I love these guys, they're homies of mine and I think that's why I like this one and Magnetic and some of the heavy ones. But some I don't care for.
