Way late here, but in regards to the “bleh” not equaling “venom”, I feel like half the lyrics on Converge’s Jane Doe album are the exact same way. Still love it.
It's been fucking obvious Japan is an amazing country for metal in general since Dir en Grey and the beginnings of Visual Kei in general. Metalcore/deathcore + Japan is a fucking amazing mix.
I love these SO MUCH! I think Visual Kei/JMetal is hugely slept on and probably ripped into alot purely down to 1. English isnt the first language so lyrics and stuff get lost in translation and can come off weird 2. Visual Kei as a genre is all about it feeling theatric and the outfits and overall look when realistically its in the name VISUAL Kei. I guarantee if this was realeased by a Western band the responses would be 100% different than they get elsewhere which is a damn shame. Japanese metal goes HARD and has done for a longgggg time. I mean look at Dir En Grey, been going since 1993 and they have some HEAVY stuff. Anyways keep enjoying J-Metal and just have fun with it!
Heyh Nik, you want more Japanese Visual Kei hardcore band like this? Please check Out Nocturnal Bloodlust, old and new stuff. They used to be final fantasy looking like this, and their songs were awesome now they're like your tipical American deathcore band.

Well, these guys are playing a METAL-METAL. They are like an EVERYTHING-CORE band😁😁 they literally have combined EVERYTHING from a metal world. All the possible styles and additional elements in one huge "WTF-cocktail". Absolutelly fuxkin unbelivable!🔥🔥
The venom blegh thing I guess it has to do with their accent, cause in japanese, the letter V in english is pronounced as B, as in Bideo instead of Video, so the vocalist may or may not said Benom instead of Venom, which may or may not make it sound more like bleghnom
Na, Nik's just deaf or something. I can hear it easily. Granted, if I hadn't read it in the video, it would've been harder to distinguish. He just didn't fully enunciate every single part of the word. But once you hear it, you can't unhear it.

Didn’t do anything for me, personally. Felt like all flash and aesthetics with no genuine creative spirit. Thanks for introducing it though, and I’m glad everyone is enjoying it.
Watching this was like being in highschool listening to Excision and Datsik for the first time, it was really jarring and strange at first but the more I heard it the more I came around
Nik hit that “why didn’t I think of that” about the breakdown at the end there.
first time I heard this breakdown its just fuckin out there its gone, its no longer a part of this realm. This song is just insanely awesome.
You should listen to Let Me Hear by Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas! It’s a banger and it’s honestly a good song. It’s a genre change every 2 minutes and it’s some wacky fun.
Oh shit, love the dissonance. They sound like a mix of Fear, and Loathing In Las Vegas and The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza
BLVCK also has a great breakdown in it. Venom is like a mix of BLVCK and OVERKILL.
One thing you can say about jiluka is the breakdowns do go hard, I also love the breakdown on overkill by jiluka
Beyond all Recognition did something very similar back in 2012. Very cool album, I still listen to it.
Holy SHIT more bands need to try that out OH MY GOD
Way late here, but in regards to the “bleh” not equaling “venom”, I feel like half the lyrics on Converge’s Jane Doe album are the exact same way. Still love it.
If you liked that dubstep breakdown, I think you should check out their previous single - Overkill. This one is even harder...
I've always loved this genre of metal/visual kei music. It's so over the top and good. This song was awesome.
"Final Fantasy Core" is so perfect
Nice, I found Jiluka recently since I've been on a iapanese metalcore/death metal/trance metal kick for a while
Japanese metal is really good. There are some really heavy bands over there.
My favorite is still Unsraw
Also I think (pink haired guitarist) Sena is also DJ (masteremix) ... It was saw in clip called U.S.A. ( scene, when he is behind DJ-set)
Has Nik reacted to Dir en Grey yet? Would to hear what he has to say about them.
And the saddest songs of Sukekiyo
Dir en Grey is a MUST.
@@andyk9902 yeah sukekiyo is great too
It's been fucking obvious Japan is an amazing country for metal in general since Dir en Grey and the beginnings of Visual Kei in general. Metalcore/deathcore + Japan is a fucking amazing mix.
I love these SO MUCH! I think Visual Kei/JMetal is hugely slept on and probably ripped into alot purely down to
1. English isnt the first language so lyrics and stuff get lost in translation and can come off weird
„Just taste my Beer“ would fit like a glove.
Hell yea, Jiluka is one of the sickest VK bands out there.
Istg the Deathcore scene has a "Heaviest breakdown of the year" every week
I love how they have both perfect blegh and bree noises
This is my favorite band and I can’t believe I get to see you react to them!!! So EPIC!!!!
Heyh Nik, you want more Japanese Visual Kei hardcore band like this? Please check Out Nocturnal Bloodlust, old and new stuff. They used to be final fantasy looking like this, and their songs were awesome now they're like your tipical American deathcore band.
Some suggestions for the old stuff : Desperate and Genesis
Yeah, I miss the Visual Kei Nokubura. My first ever favorite deathcore jband from VK.
Wait til you hear my song with Taylor Barber 👀
It's a Deathcore x Dubstep song 👀
This is deffo one of the most versatile and best metal bands of 2023!! You know there are lots of different metal styles:
Heavy metal, nu-metal, Industrial metal, symphonic metal, death metal.
4:13 that's just Early Grave by Architects, the BLEGH followed by that riff
Glad to see a visual kei band finally getting recognition😅
Final Fantasy Femboy Core is pretty hype.
Japanese bands are always unique and talented one!
100% impossible to groove to or follow. I still can't comprehend what I just heard.
This is so fucking good, wow. The production is incredible. So much noise, yet so clear, amazing.
Absolutely love it. Hard and ruthless Thank you Nik
Jiluka is just crazy with every release
Their name is Jiluka
I've been listening to this Genre called Visual Kei for half my life.
I never knew I could feel so good when dubstep will violate me WTF
Another great disovery of a band I've never heard of before. Thanks Nik!
Makes me miss the early days of Dir En Grey
