Hey! I'm that guy talking up there :) If you enjoyed it and you like my approach, check out other stuff I do to help the animals, and consider supporting my work at "Patreon"! (just search my name there). I really want to leave my office job to work on what I feel the most called to do.
I can't believe people waste so much time, energy and money on saving and protecting animals, while 16,000 human children die from hunger related causes every day. Let me say that again because that is a staggering figure. SIXTEEN THOUSAND human children die EVERY SINGLE DAY due to hunger related causes. Every time someone puts forth an effort or donates money to protect an animal/animals, they are LITERALLY allowing a human child/children to die. Again... LITERALLY! And this is coming from a person who also loves animals, but I keep realistic priorities.
Couldn't muster through the whole speech, because of very unscientific and un-structured approach to the subject of a video that was supposed to deal with animal rights. Not to mention kinda broken and unfluid English. Blah stick to the office job friend.
@@steveharrison4558 I am sure you know that all those children die -amongst other things- because the food that could be given to them is instead fed to factory farmed animals in order to produce meat then to be sold to the small amount of people who can afford it. So, if you care so much about children dying out of hunger, this would be one more reason for you to not eat meat or any other animal product and stop supporting animal exploitation. Human kindness should be directed to all sentient beings, not only to the ones from our species. Our duty is to live causing as less to others harm as possible. Now we know that we can thrive by eating only plants, why not do it then?
We commit the greatest horrors on our Non-Human brothers and sisters every second of everyday, and yet have the ability to carry on with our lives as if everything is ok. We can each decide to not participate in the violence by going vegan. Non-Human Animal Liberation
Great talk - thank you! Really makes you think. People have been living with cognitive dissonance about animal products for far too long. There are so many options to choose from - why eat animals?
Great Ted Talk! I'm trying to find a source that will confirm that Aristotle's Great Chain of Being puts women below men. I can see how this might be assumed, considering the culture of the time and that nobles are considered above peasants but I don't think that it is explicitly stated as fact...

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts.
What you do to those you see below you, shows who you really are and what will be done to you, as what you give is what you get.
