The 1959 outing "Really Scent" shows that maybe Pepe can be reworked into something that would fly nowadays, in that cartoon the cat clearly is interested in him and keeps trying to find ways to get close to him without having to deal with his stench. Turning hom into a Johnny Bravo kind of character who does nothing but make a fool of himself in front of the ladies could work too.
Linda Jones (Daughter of Chuck Jones) suggested to rebrand Pepe Le Pew as a job-seeking candidate who keeps getting rejected and changing up his routine. I suggested to that if that’s the case, then Penelope Pussycat could become his booking agent or something like that.
How about just stop trying to remake pre-Obama era material to accommodate ANTIFA era over-sensitive woke standards and let anyone who doesn't like it turn it off or leave the room?
Bugs Bunny gets skunked before he can finish his starting sentence & introducing Yosemite Sam as this episode’s master of ceremonies @ 1:58-2:08. The same goes for one of Bugs’ rivals, too @ 3:02-3:10. & his gun and the cowardly bullets that said “Yipe! Yipe! Yipe! Yipe! Yipe! Yipe! Yipe! Yipe! Yipe!” @ 2:45-2:55.
Poor Bugs & Sam. Good thing that the Oscar-winning Rabbit has a sub host @ 2:11. Furthermore, the same goes for Taz-Boy The Tasmanian Devil 😈 who transformed into a Tasmanian monkey 🙉 @ 4:18-4:26, too. Also, the classic Looney Tunes & Merrie Melodies cartoons on this episode of “The Bugs Bunny Show” are: “Cheese Chasers”, “Mississippi Hare” & “Terrier Striken” (the latter 2 cartoon can be seen here @ 0:02-0:47, 3:15 & 4:36).
💕This is a very good part! 💕He is my favorite L.T. character.💕For me, Pepe is always the cutest, most beautiful and most romantic character of all.💖😍😘💋
So nice to see some new (new to me, at least) Chuck Jones-directed footage. The scene where Bugs melts is hilarious! So rare to see Yosemite Sam and especially the Tasmanian Devil directed by Chuck. This is a treasure! Thanks for posting and shame on WB for not restoring these segments for DVD release!
The offbeat pairing of Sam and Pepe is what make this so hilarious. For the most part I found Pepe to be a tiresome one-trick pony but this shaking up the mix with an adversary we'd never expect to see him against is refreshingly different.
Exactly, like he is a very confident character. It would be funny to see him paired with a character that is use to winning but actually has a had time winning against him. For example, put him against Speedy (skunks are awesome mousers), Speedy’s town is getting sick and tired of Speedy getting all the women, but no one’s brave enough to go against him. They get some one who is visiting, Pepe. Like always he is looking for love and the male mice tell him that they will tell him where the female skunks are at if he takes speedy down. Since Pepe is not as dumb as Sylvester nor proud as Daffy, most of Speedy’s tricks won’t work on him. Example, Speedy giving him a bomb, Pepe would not try to blow it out like others but simply lick his fingers and put it out by pinching the flame. Scaring him from behind would be a bad idea to do to a Skunk. Do are so many things they can actually do with him. I have tons of things,. I always found his confidence made him so unlike the other chasers. Put him with Tweety, Penelope wants to get Tweety but knows how dangerous he is. So she sends Pepe after him. Again what works for Tweety’s regular enemies would not work on him, and when his does get a hit. Pepe like his ever confident self will just shrug it off, because love is worth all the hits.

I'm sure there's some way they could fix Pepe.

Wow. Never seen these before. Like new episodes
I love this one, and own an original Chuck Jones production drawing from it.
Which scene?

"Show #24", originally telecast on March 21, 1961.
Not too long before my birthday (March 30). Never mind which one. LOLOLOL.
I have a 16mm print of this episode, but it is missing the 2nd & 3fd host segments, so thanks for posting these!
Also, here we have a mash-up of characters from the Jones, Freleng and McKimson units being co-directed by Abe Levitow and Maurice Noble!
Are these missing episodes or something? Thanks
Taken from episode 24 of the Bugs Bunny show on ABC TV on March 21st, 1961.

Pepe Le Pew is a Chad.
He's a romantic bachelor who thinks he's "hot stuff"- and is sometimes aware he really "stinks". 😏

2:11 Take over?! Is Pepe Le Pew taking over the show for today?
Every major Warner Bros. "star character" had a crack at hosting the show. This was Pepe's turn.
Wow... this is so cool. I've never seen Pepe interact with Bugs or Sam before. He's so cute! lol Thanks for posting this!
