just bought my Golf 1.9 90hp as first car with 269.000km. Being only 17 (almost 18) it's my first car. My dad owned several Golf's mk4 back in the day. It's such nostalgia being able to drive the car I grew up in. .
I have 2002 golf mk4 1.9tdi with around 240k km and it runs perfectly only thing thats gone bad is button for drivers side window (need more force to open/close)
Ive recently bought 1.9 tdi golf ASZ (2004) 329k km.. runs so smooth and look good.. Its my first car and i think i couldnt have bought better.. but to be honest.. im still pretty scared to full throttle it.. it hides such power :D

I know my next car will also be something german with 1.9Tdi

my mom has a 2000 VW Bora, 2.0 N/A 115hp, it had a lot of rust at the front fenders and side skirts, (*she is the 5th or 6th owner) almost 274k, at the hood there are some small dots, another small dot at the back left fender; FWD, it runs great, but it has a problem with the oxygen sensors, they need to be changed; and today the back brake lines will be changed

@@distortion4222 Going to disagree with you on that one. Bought a used 2002 Golf Tdi with 329000K on the odo. Spend at bit of money on some upgrades with some help from a mechanic friend. All new suspension, Audi calipers on all four wheels with cross drilled rotors, urethane bushings and new Bilsteins. VNT17 turbo, uprgraded nozzles, Malone stage 4 tune, 6 spd manual and Sachs single mass flywheel clutch. Should be good for 150 horsepower and 285 lb.ft. Of torque. Most fun car I have ever owned and still averaging 5L of diesel per 100kms (thanks to the 6th gear of course). I can get to 200+ kph a lot quicker than some of the vids I have watched…and Continental Pure Contacts for tires. In stock form, it is good and economical, but the full potential lies in a few mods. I would opt for one without the sunroof as I notice wind noise after 120 or so.

If rust attacks it it had to be hit sometime. Golfs are all fully galvanized with thick layer so has no right to rust
