I feel like I should record a typical visit to Christian Crossing. It's a truly unique place. They are cheap, but they know what's valuable...for the most part. Stuff does fall through the cracks.
what a cozy sweater... I know you sell in antique stalls, but you do ebay also, right? I would be interested in hearing the tools and processes you use to sell efficiently on this platform (with all the listing work, shipping issues, and payment collection).
Why do you insist on calling your lady a guy? I know to some people it may not matter to but frankly i think it's insulting to her and it just seems weird. Not asking you to change, just inquiring. Keep up with the great finds. Have a large pair of those peacocks myself and honestly was about to toss them in the scrap metal pile. Got them from a house cleanout. Now i will have to do some research on them. Also curious as to why you never discuss your sales.
"Research Guy" here, hope you don't mind if I jump in! When John started this channel years ago, it was just him recording videos at his kitchen table (our relationship was still pretty new) and I would give an occasional research assist. The first reference to "the research guy" was a tongue-in-cheek joke that was made all the more preposterous by the shoestring budget of Mid Mod Money's earliest iterations. As the channel (and our relationship) grew, I pitched in in other ways: Lamp rewiring (Lamp Guy), clock kit installation (Clock Guy), social media (Social Media Guy), RESEARCH (Research Guy), and most recently, video editing (Editing Guy). His references to the vast team of "Guys" working tirelessly behind the scenes makes me feel like a valued member of his team, like he's acknowledging that I do the work of several people. As far as sharing the sales goes, that's a thing we hope to get better at! Unfortunately, when dealing with our 3 booths, it can be days, weeks, months, or even years before items are "off the books." So, matching sales to items in episodes can be a nightmare. Hopefully, once we start stocking the ebay store more regularly, we can share relevant solds THAT way. Thanks so much for joining us and for taking the time to comment!
