I have MS, and my right eye was blind for a time. You're absolutely correct that the other eye will take over for the other. I will be praying for you. Stay strong, God has this.
Me too Diane - MS seems to be an epidemic happening now - it is so prolific.
I have MS too. I’m finding MS pretty common for a rare disease.
My wife was diagnosed with ms 12 years ago and started taking rebif injections. Vision is fine now and has had no symptoms since then.
When it rains it pours! I have been there myself. I glad you have your friends to give you the space to breath out. Prayers for you Bri and healing in your eye 💖 thanks for update. But please dont feel the need to justify anything. We just love you all💕

Bri I soooo get what your saying about your house. I am still living in a camper in front of my house after it was destroyed by hurricane Michael almost a year and a half ago.It’s so overwhelming and the process of rebuilding is so stressful. I can definitely relate with all the emotions you are felling (hugs)

I’m glad you all are okay and in a good place and that you all have good friends to fall back on for support!! It’s perfectly okay to be saddened and mournful over the loss of function of a body part. We all got sick twice after Christmas. First with a cold then with hand foot and mouth and right after thanksgiving this year as well with 5th disease then a stomach bug on top of it. I feel for you. It’s rough enough with two kids. I’d imagine it’s really hard with more. You all are tough and good people! Happy New Year to you all!!

I love the balance they have between the both of them, she lifts him up as the leader of their family and respect she has for him and love is precious. He loves her so much and him her as well. So many times one speaks over the other love their balance.

I completely agree. Obviously when 2 people tell a story there will be a dominant speaker. It's offputting when one partner is constantly speaking over the other. I can't watch a certain channel for that exact reason. My point, I enjoy watching art and bri a great couple.

Moldy house, living in a camper with kids, running a small farm, and dealing with health issues (ours is from the mold), so I can emphasize. I was one of those folks worrying about yall, but I knew you'd update when you could. This is all so stressful, so I'm glad you're taking time to step back and get some mental clarity 💕
This was a good reminder to appreciate visual beauty each day because lifelong vision is not a given.

It's good to see your faces! Although it's sad to hear that you guys have gone through some tough times recently, it's encouraging to know that other ppl in this world get overwhelmed, knocked off their norm, fall off the face of the planet, and then recover. I don't wish hardship on anyone, but it is nice to know that you're not alone. So Art and Bri, at the very least, you aren't the only ones going through and overcoming. We love you and your family and have been so blessed by all that you share with us!

I am sad your having that eye issue. A few years ago, while working (I am a nurse as well) I had a HUGE floater suddenly appear, walked myself to the ER, and later went to see an opthamologist. Long story short, eventually they found that my retina was starting to detach. I got some kind of emergent procedure where they “weld” with light the retina back. Now I have to do follow up care. Praying for total healing for your eye Bri. I pray 2020 will get incredibly better! It’s so important to have people that can speak into your life, give encouragement and different perspectives. I love the Rhodes, they are a beautiful family.

I'm sure that you are a blessing to the Rhodes family just by being there. I totally get being "solid" and yet needing to grieve losses and process pain and angst in hard seasons. I have 2 injections both eyes, it’s been 10 appointments and I’m looking at least 10 more and it’s the same for me but in my right eye. I cried so hard. The things that went through my mind was will I ever lay my eyes upon a grand or great grandchild again or watch a graduation. Will I ever look upon another sparkling snowfall, or see the lights of Christmas. Lol or enjoy another Hallmark Christmas movie! It’s wierd where your mind travels. So just know we’re praying for a complete healing for you Bri so enjoy you all, you and Art bring so much to UA-cam land.

I had a stroke in my right eye in March 2018. Also have had catarack surgery in both eyes. Had problem with my right eye four days before surgery on the left one. Have had laser surgery in both eyes. My vision has been really good since then. I really symphazy with you. Prayers go out to you Bri that everything does go well with you. Love watching all your family videoes.

Praying for you Bri. I have had an issue with my right eye. It goes blurry every 5 or so seconds and I have to flick my head back and forth to make it see clear again. The eye doctor who prescribes my glasses didn't seem to be concerned-but I am. But, like you, I am afraid of what the treatment may be. I am so glad God is on our side. We all need prayers. I was diagnosed with dry macular 2 years ago and was told I would be blind in about 5 years. It is scary. My job as a delivery driver will be cut short of full social security age. Single and thinking of how will I survive alone, (13 cats). No one in my family has had this ailment going back over a 100 years. Feeling very emotional and why me. I hope and pray for you and your young family. Family is everything! You will have a support system to help compensate for your loss of vision when you need them to help. I admire and respect your courage, faith and family and good friends.
Oh Bri...a few years ago, my husband had selective shoulder surgery & 2 days later had a Retinal Detachment & it was so devastating for him. He's such a Go, Go kind of guy. So losing his vision without knowing if it will get better & not being able to use his arms was so terrifying for him. So I do know how scary it is. Our faith carried us through & he is better. So keep the faith , know you are surrounded by prayer & you are loved. 💞🙏

I am so sorry, Bri. I agree that it is a very difficult issue. Just to assure you, I am blind in my left eye, for different reasons, and you are correct, your other eye compensates. I've been this way for quite sometime and it is not too bad. I will pray that this treatment will work, heal you and this will be over soon. Sending many prayers, love and encouragement! Glad you are all alive and well. Our Christmas was just as busy, only with health issues. My brother is in the end stages of CHF, my husband was recently diagnosed with chf and two days after Christmas I was diagnosed with liver cancer. All the running around to different doctors we found out that it is primary liver cancer. The tumor is going to be surgically removed in a few weeks. They say I will be cancer free after that which is encouraging. This is the second year of homesteading for us so I’m pretty nervous about my health.
I just left that comment on ig and here you are... I had a feeling you'd be back. That's the day Justin's video released and there you were! Glad to see you're OK, even if times are hard. Sending you best wishes and grace in the new year. Thanks for the update and for sharing your life with us.

Hey guys,don't fear, I had a torn retna in my right eye 3 years ago and I am blind in that eye now. I am 65 years old and am an artist and still paint,by the grace of God ,it's amazing how the brain takes over,I know a patch is not stylish but it can help with double vision and headaches. you guys are in my prayers and I have missed your vids ,God bless!!

I went blind in my left eye the first week of December! I noticed it was a bit blurry and then over night I was completely blind in my left eye and deteriorating in my right. I was alone on the farm as my boyfriend was 1000kms away at work so no way to even get to town until he got home. I'm lucky enough that I was diagnosed once he was home with basically early onslaught cataracts (I'm only 39) so I'm very grateful that with surgery in June it can be mostly corrected. I was raised by a blind mother (she had MS) so I knew kind of what I was in for in terms of the stress and sadness of having such terrible sight. They were able to correct my right eye for now with glasses. It's terrible but I'm getting through and look forward to 5 months from now when they can hopefully fix it.
Sending you so much love. Losing your sight is terrifying but I try to keep a good humor, like trying to train my goats, pigs, horses, chickens etc to make noises so I can find them if I lose all of my sight before surgery haha
OMG. I'm a nurse. I could never handle anything to do with eyes during training. It gives me the chills. Needles - eyes- NO NO NO! You have my greatest sympathy. Good luck and God bless you.

I know how "company" can sometimes be overwhelming especially with a houseful of beautiful young children. Your house decisions are yours to make. I have had 3 eye surgeries. At the first one the nurse came at me with the largest needle I had ever seen. I must have looked horrified because I knew they had to freeze my eye but it was just a gel to put on my eyeball to freeze it. The other two surgeries were much easier to deal with. I missed you guys, glad you are back. Please take care of all of you, don't rush to get back to us. We will be here when and if your ready to come back.

Appreciate how overwhelmed you are with everything else. Doesn't rain like this in southern California. Tornado touched down easy of Dallas, skirted the city and headed towards Oklahoma. Started packing after Christmas and arrived New Year's day after dark. Talk about a long drive. Keeping you in prayer.
