Drive to survive but not made by netflix
I think it should be done by F1. DTS is so overdramatic and they try to push their own narrative.
@@NippyMoto What narrative do they push? I haven't seen it, so I'm curious.
@@Xiphactinus They try to make "heros and villians" and they don't even show all the drivers while featuring some heavily. They use mismatched commentary and audio and also cut up driver comments which can only be picked up by the more serious fans. They also skip over major events during race weekends eg. during the Germany episode they didn't acknowledge Kyvat finishing 3rd at all because it didn't suit their narrative but made a huge deal over Gasly's 2nd in Brazil because they were doing a whole hero story about him from being dropped from RedBull and going to Torro Rosso. It is not bad if you know nothing about F1 but if you are a serious fan you can find holes everywhere.
@@NippyMoto I'm guessing they werent able to get as m,any interviews from certain drivers, or that their stories amde for less good television.
It's like how the bigger teams were'nt featured much in the first season, but featured alot more in the latter season. They saw how popular the show was and were more interested in being interviewed.
@@NippyMoto yea. i first saw the show around a month ago. both seasons. now i am hooked to F1. Just in love with it honestly
Hes has shown his potential in his junior career, now he just needs a good car and can fight for a championship
Yeah, especially at Hungary when he went completely over the limits.
All F1 drivers have shown huge potential in their junior career, even Stroll and Grosjean mate...
I always like to mention the post season '19 driving when he was in a Mercedes and went close to equal with the Mercedes drivers
@@principal4816 when did stroll show any potential
Christopher 34154 however don’t forgot they had actual competitive cars to show potential in f1. He started his career in a Williams, and even then he had some amazing moments
I would be very surprised if this guy doesn't get a world title.
@Jonathan David William Yh but not all of them are signed to Mercedes
Because he almost wins in a Mercedes? Lol
wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t
i feel so bad for Claire. she’s trying so hard to bring back the glory her father started. and then everyone hates on her because they say she doesn’t do a good job but managing a formula 1 team (especially a family owned one) is incredibly difficult. and a lot of things that go wrong weren’t her fault but she was blamed for it. like when they were late to testing last season, that stupid designer “lost track” of the parts but everyone blamed Claire. i really hope she is able to get the team together and have them back on the podium. 🤞
Elizabeth The problem is if you blame others, you will get nowhere. Why not have two designers? In case one designer messes up? Don‘t know much about F1 engineering but I would always have a backup plan if things go wrong.
Crusard Modding because you then are either paying two good designers the same amount (too much) or two mediocre ones paying them their worth. Having a redundant employee is a waste of resources, so better hire a competent one on the first go
Same, man. Same.
I feel the same way for Claire. I really hope they come back as a strong team and get through this difficult time.
@@montruo000000007 You cannot make money without spending it. Your coffeeshop took this exact same risk. Your favorite restaurant took the same risk. They prevailed.
George said in school he wanted to be an F1 driver when he grows up. We can imagine how serious, hardworking and dedicated he has been throughout his life. He deserves a good car for WDC, it's just about time

Grosjean: crashes into russel
Russel: I shouldn't be surprised
That whole thing was so utterly stupid from Russell. Just because he has the inside line, Grosjean is in no way forced to give up the fight. He can hang in there all he wants to make Russell compromised on the exit and towards the next corner. Russell just made a rookie mistake of expecting the other person to just give up the fight and he paid the price for it. The right one went into the wall. The fact is that other drivers, Ricciardo for example, were able to go through that same corner side by side without crashing because they understood that the car on the outside is not going to just give up and they can't just open up their line, otherwise they would end up in the wall.
@@LethalWalou ok racing master
LethalWalou mate, experienced drivers make that mistake too. Grosjean is an idiot, he always makes mistakes and he should have gave up when he saw there was no room. The driver with the inside line has the priority, that’s the driver on the outside is forced to adjust which he didn’t.
It's not a mistake. As George said, he is entitled to that corner since he is so much further ahead on the inside. It's always been that the driver on the inside has precedence, we can see from the stewards in the Austria verstappen-leclerc incident that even if you're alongside, the outside driver has to yield. So in that case it's Grosjeans fault 90%.
@@LethalWalou They are able to go through that corner side by side but Russel was driving defensively and took a wider line on purpose to squeeze Grosjean out, Gorjean being the more experienced older driver SHOULD have known that there wouldn't be enough room and should have backed out. I like Grosjean and Russel, In fact they are both my favourite drivers but this is clearly Grosjean's fault.
Russell: *makes a powerpoint presentation y he should be an f1 racer*
williams: *hires him right away*
This is a Netflix-level production, and it's posted on the F1 UA-cam channel. Big cheers!
But main character is not gay and there are no sex scenes to progress the story so this is not netflix level lol
@@skiran6316 I was (and I hope most people understood it) referring to Drive to Survive. If you haven't watched it, go watch the first two seasons!
Honestly the production value of this episode was good enough that it might as well have been a co-production between the F1 UA-cam channel and Netflix.
Better imo. The Netflix guys tend to over-dramatize things which is great for new watchers and fans but I kind of prefer this more journalistic approach.
@@GloomGaiGar same
@@writeordie5452 Lol I know what you are referring to. Honestly it is one of the worst shows on Netflix(Verstappen was having drive of his life in Austria they didn't even show one clip of that instead focused on Haas Team for overdramatization of the situation that just shows poor quality content it is just a Soap opera who likes reality TV) and all their shows have the same common theme of what I mentioned hope this clears the air
Finally he's getting the attention he deserves!
He's an F1 driver that says enough.
He doesnt deserve the attention
@@used_user He's just a salty Kubica fanboy.
Russel right now is overrated for being the f2 champion and the Merc junior driver well yes he is talented he can’t show his talent as he is in a williams but with the attention going to him all of 2019-2020 not in press media but like fans overrating his talents it’s like Mick Schumi overrated
To be fair he got plenty of attention last year for a driver of a backmarker team.
He reminds me an early Niki Lauda, so perfectionist and meticulous. Give him a fast car and you'll see what Russell is capable off...
this aged well
I mean, he got a W11 now
Your proof has been given in FP1, Get in there russell!
Your dream comes true this day mate :D
And then Mercedes messes it up...
Imagine if Williams was still at the level that it once was. We would see that gem of a driver at the very top of the podium.
Merc wouldn't put Russell into a Williams cockpit if Williams was fighting at the top
Inzersdorf93 if Williams would be fighting for Wins, Mercedes would have never started the Junior Program. That’s the same with Toro Rosso. They where first F1 Team which was Main Sponsored by Red Bull. (I know Sauber was but they weren’t completely, their main sponsor was Petronas back then) Just after some years Red Bull made an own Team. And now as they still sponsor them they are the Junior Team from them. If they would have been fighting for Wins, then Red Bull would probably not made an own Team. Williams has had an Partnership with Mercedes for a very long time. Not only they are their Engine Suplier, but they also get help from Mercedes. If Williams Glory Days would have never ended, then they would have never had this Partnership.

George is quickly becoming my favourite driver. I honestly hope before he gets called up to Mercedes that he can help Williams survive. If Williams manages to survive until the budget cap he will definitely help them get away from the very back of the grid.
It would be a nice story is Russel manages to get Williams in the top 9 in the constructors championship.
in my opinion i think williams need a investment by latifi dad/door by door donation like rio haryanto in 2016 when indonesia almost cant make him to f1
he has
Same for me ! He is amazing both on the track and in real life, let's hope Williams is a bit better this year and that he can show what he's really made of, and maybe Mercedes/McLaren 2021, who knows!
Toto wolff did buy a stake at Williams so i don't think the team is going to die. Also, i know the season hasn't started yet but from testing, the car was much faster than last year's so they might finally start to see some progress.
George deserves to be in a championship contending car. You can see how dedicated and mature he is on the track. I’d love to see him fight alongside Charles, Max, Lando, and Alex.
He does, but Russell wants Williams to do well First and foremost.
Your wish has been granted.

Imagine if he beats the Ferrari drivers in 2021 with a Renault or an Aston Martin.
Guys like Lance come into the sport with a rich dad and don't even talk to interviewers properly or give the respect they deserve. Here is this kid, who shows so much maturity and ready to share the hardships with the entire team. You will have a great career George!
I really respect Russell, but very unfair to knock Stroll. He's actually pretty handy, even in the lower formulas. I know Stroll isn't in F1 for absolute talent, but he wouldn't be there if he was half decent. He's very good.
Russell is incredibly talented for sure and you can tell he will get there, because he's so mature in what's required to set up the car and wants to absolutely get Williams back to where we all want them to be.
@@weallfollowmanutd I take no credit away from Stroll, his F2 records are pretty solid. Yet, seeing how Lawrence Stroll throws his money might around and after all that Checo has done to save the team, seeing RP send him out leave a real bitter feeling about the Strolls. No hate to anyone. Just a little bitterness.
@@balajprasanna I understand that. You have to say that it's not Lance's fault though. A few years ago everyone was slagging him off, but now he's proving to be a very good F1 driver. If Stroll was as good in qualifying as he is in the races, he would be classed as a top driver.
I can't find anything wrong or bad about that. If his dad is rich enough to even own a team, then Stroll is allowed to race for his own father's team. It would actually be cool if there were more people like Stroll, they would just fill the grid while the more talented drivers would still get the attention they deserve.
different worlds mate. might as well compare caviar and fish fingers.
Just imagine if he's actually going to stay at Williams, help building the team from the very bottom to be a championship contender, that's going to be one of the most incredible stories in F1. I mean, it's good if he'll move to Merc, but yeah, just imagine if that happens, because he's truly capable to do that, even in his first year in F1, he already shown that dedication for the team, to help them improve
it would be the perfect story but once a seat is available in merc, he's gonna dump williams asap haha

Williams will disappear at this rate, unless they get rid of this diversity crap. Guaranteed. Like said before, they need strong, leadership and unfortunately that's from a man that knows F1 in and out, due to how it was setup for decades.
@@tyronnezx Admittedly I'm only a year into being a big fan of F1 but I think it's ridiculous to insinuate that the daughter of Frank Williams doesn't know F1. You can think she's not a good leader, but it has nothing to do with her being a woman. Plus she wasn't hired for "diversity", she inherited it.
