Levi Noguess gives a detailed Walkaround tour of his Fieseler Storch replica. I caught up with Levi at the Lonestar STOL competition in Gainesville Texas.
What I find most interesting about these walk-around videos is the ones done on the Volkswagens of the air always turn out to be just as interesting or if not more interesting than the ones done on the Ferraris of the air.
@@LeviNoguess Hello. You got yourself one truly unique airplane. Thanks for the video. Two things. Human nature being what it is,I would be strongly inclined to add a leather strap near the no touch rods. Like you'd find on a bus. Light weight. Easy. Any Texas saddlemaker would run one up for you. Secondly, the machine gun on the original most likely was the MG 15. Made by Rheinmetall, 7.92 ×57 (8mm Mauser). Transferable examples are occasionally available for sale in the US. Had an interesting 75 round double snail magazine. I think your idea of a toilet plunger is better though. Ian over at Forgotten Weapons has a short video on this design ,if you are interested. All the best.
hello , very nice plane, we have one in our association , it even appeared in a famous French film but it had another engine at this time!! a happiness to fly on
I grew up in Germany listening to my grandfather speak about how he would love to fly one more time in a Fieseler Storch. He had been taken one one single ride by a pilot in WW2.
Great show! If you watch the Kermit Weeks Fantasy of Flight UA-cam channel, he did a series on his real Storch. I never knew that the wings on the real one folded. Had Levi not sais something, I would have thought it was a full sized clone.
A víte, že se za války vyráběl i v České republice ve městě Choceň v malé továrně Beneš-Mráz. A to proto, aby v mateřských filiálkách mohli mrskat Bf 109.
It flies great. It actually feel like a "big" airplane because because it's not "snappy" like most LSA's. I've been told it feels very similar to the real one, but I don't know that. It is a real hoot to fly though, I can tell you that!
Howdy John. I'm the guy talking about and flying the plane in this video. I know what you mean about wanting to hear the airplanes, but I assure you that during the air to air video all you would hear is wind noise... very similar to talking to someone on the phone when they are in a windstorm. It's not pleasant. Erik added very period sounding WWII German Military music to set the mood. You'll notice that for my take off when you can hear the actual engine, he did leave that in. Erik and other aviation content creators spend countless hours editing video to educate and entertain. I hope you can understand that the music in most of these aviation videos is to enhance the quality. If the engine sounds are available, they are usually left in the final cut. In comparison, when you see airplanes in Hollywood movies, the engine sounds are usually fake and dubbed in post production. In short, it's not natural. I hope this helps. Blue Skies! - Levi

I can't stop loving these, either military, or civilian, these are golden.
Take care, and all the best.
Very cool airplane for sure. Thanks for the tour!
Your a natural in front of the camera Levi , awsome walk around and your best video so far.👍
Shoutout to Hanna Reitsch
Needs a cardboard Mussolini in the back seat
Ha ha ha... might try that... or the toilet plunger Machine gun.
Very beautiful aircraft bet she flies like a dream looks like a fun plane
I've seen random videos of the Slepcev Storch but this is next level 💥💥
Keep it up Erik🤠🤠
The original Storch design was ahead of its time..amazing aircraft replica.
Very True.

What a fine video and airplane. I am a European History major and am glad you keep the markings completely accurate.
Looks like something from the Pixar movie Planes LOVE IT!

I'd be happy to give you a ride!
Mr. Levi, you're awesome!! I'm glad I met you and hope sometime for chance to sit with you to hear more about your experiences like Iroquois time!
Well done video production. I watched this airplane compete at Gainesville, it’s quite a looker.
Howdy Steve! Thanks for the complement.
Epic Storch and Stache! xD
Whatever happened to that company in Florida building replica Storchs?
Amazing STOL capability. In a decent headwind it would almost hover. Almost.
brilliant dream !!
AWESOME VIDEO & CONTENT!
What a great guy Levi is! I wonder what his service era callsign was? Love the aircraft too! Thanks Erik!
I sure like it, good job Mr. Levi!
Thanks! I love it too.

The Storch, in my opinion, is the original "King of STOL"!
What a fun bloke! If The Bandit had a pilots license.. ;-)
No chain driven adjustable horizontal stabilizer like the original?
Saw this plane at KSEP about a month ago.
Neat.
How does it fly

Huey, one of the best sounds in aviation 👍🏼. I was waiting for Fortunate Son 🎵🎤 to start playing 😆👍🏼
Haha
I'm not sure that Levi would like an "anti-war" song like that attached to this video...
@@kennethstapleton8405 Hendrix “ All Along the Watchtower “ 🎵 would work as well 👍🏼
Cooool!!
Yes it is! I love it!
I love your airplane.
Thanks Paul, so do I!
Dixy Chicks wrote a song about you. "Cowboy take me away".
I'll take that as a compliment I think.... Thanks!. Yee Haw!
☠BLACK BARON☠ iGuess the Kit is not flight licensed in Germany for sports pilots. Right?
The French "Criquet" with the radial engine performed better.
Nice voice and accent. (Brit)
Awe Shucks... Thanks Mate!
I may be mistaken but wasn't this airplanes competition for the role it was designed for a helicopter? 🤣
The Music Sucks !!!! keep it Natural !!!😡
