I'm not sure he is playing mind games here at all, I think he's genuinly realised it was very fortunate that his driver wasnt killed in a fatal accident and he didn't want to see another driver with a similar wing fixing who was pitted right in front of him suffer the same or worse. I think Chapman this reputation he's been given as never caring about his drivers safety is wrong, just because he pioneered some early stage dangerous but innovative new ideas on his race cars didnt mean he didnt care about his drivers and other drivers wellbeing, he was an engineer and loved developing his race cars with new ideas.
Post-mortum Chapman bashing is repulsive. The man was a genius and had an incredible competitive drive. A monumental figure in the history of Formula 1
@@flabarre9776 How so? Premeditated? Or just Formula One. other manufacturers had issues. How many Ferrari drivers died in testing and racing? Williams? Arrow? Shadow? Grow up.

I agree. I don't see that he was doing anything wrong here.

The man was an arch-murderer.

I know the 1968 scenes are from the film Millionaire. What documentary is Jackie Oliver being interviewed for?
It was a BBC series from the early '90s called The Power and the Glory.
@@ryangarritty9761 Thank you. Cracking documentaries the BBC did at the time.
What happened? I am driving one of your sodding cars, Colin! That's what!
